Hello all,
Unfortunately, I am having problems with my internet at home for a little while, so I will not be able to come on as often as I used to. However, Longing For Harmony is almost finished, and will hopefully be fully uploaded within the next week. However, there is something important regarding that. Please, hear me out before you make judgments or contribute comments;
In light of working on the next chapter, I've realized that the story may be bumped from a 'Teen' rating to a 'Mature' one. In spite of this, approximately 98% of the story is still in a solid 'Teen' rating area; it's a small, brief scene in the next chapter that pushes it over the edge, combined with the other overall gradually escalating amount of dark themes and rare violent moments throughout the story. It is very graphic, but, as I mentioned, entirely momentary, especially when compared to the rest of the chapter, let alone the entire story.
Please keep in mind that the purpose of this scene is not sadistic gratification, but rather intended as a message of anti-violence; all violence is bad, at least in real life, and in this story.
I wasn't going to bring all of this up originally, as I reluctantly consider it possibly major spoilers, but a close friend of mine convinced me that at the very least a cautionary announcement was called for. I'm weighing my options, such as going with the original, existing version of this (definitely Mature), or cutting it down to a severely censored version (keeping a Teen rating), or even uploading both forms as alternatively selective chapters (if the rules allow it, that is). This story is metaphorically alive to me in it's own way, and demands that I include it in some shape or form to get it's point across, but I also care very much about how my readers would feel about it, which is why I'm putting this out there.
I really don't want to disappoint my faithful readers and those who enjoy the story, but I also want to do the story justice. Please, tell me, would you mind the mature rating, even if the scene that pushes it that far takes up less than 5% of the story (Mature)? Would you rather have a censored version (Teen)? Or would you like there to be both forms available, if the rules allow it? Or if you have some other opinion on the matter, you can let me know as well.

I remember for my birthday one year, I got this $150 pair of intense BOSE headphones... It was pretty awesome... Until I accidentally broke them due to being freakishly huge (and yet *delicate*).
Now I just buy the $10 Target store inner-ear headphones whenever I blow my last pair out.

A new computer chair, an amplifier for my grandfathers Turntable (witch is now mine :3) so it can make sound without 50 year old speakers.
Some new headphones, the pair I'm wearing are flimsy, don't cancel out noise and unless you do a lot of fidgeting with the volume wheel on the cord, it will only play sound outta one ear.
My brother is also gonna get me something, I don't know what it is yet, all he asked was that I give him money and he would buy me something special :D

Yeah, I had the same issues with fanfiction.net way back. In fact, it happened so often that I kind of got burnt out on reading fan fiction in general for a while. However, this was long before FIM came into existence; it seems (as far as I can tell) that it has enough creative inspiration to encourage fans to finish their stories. But, like other fandoms, the other problem is, there's too many dang stories, so it's hard to choose what to read!

My favorite YouTube stuff is changed to much or disappeared, Some content I watched on Moddb.com is dead or inactive and won't be active again for an indeterminable amount of time. Some of my favorite Tumblr's and blogs have been deactivated due to real life issues in the owners life...

I hate when stuff like that happens. It's what usually makes me hesitant to even read fics in the first place. I get really into it and WHAM! It gets canceled before it's even done.
