Twilight goes on a journey to gather the elements to defeat Daybreaker

This is a AU story, where Luna isn't Luna she's Selena, Celestia and Selena aren't related but call each other sisters, Celestia was the one taken by the tantabus and Twilight Sparkle is Selena's daughter and has to go on a huge journey to gather the seven elements of harmony and defeat Daybreaker before she can make the day last forever!

Prologue

In the everfree forest sat the castle of the two sisters where everypony was gathered to witness a historical event trumpets went off as a Herald called out, “Presenting her Royal Majesty Queen Selena.” A black alicorn walked into the room, her mane and tail was ethereal blue with a purple tint on the edge with white stars sparkling in them, her teal eyes were serpentine, and her cutie mark was a white moon with a purple boarder, Selena smiled revealing she had fangs though nopony seemed bothered by this because she was scary for a reason.

The Herald then said, “Presenting his Royal Majesty King Stygian.” A gray unicorn with azure eyes, cerulean with artic blue mane and tail walked into the room, he was tallish but Selena easily towered over everypony including him but he didn’t seem to care as his horn was glowing with his azure majestic aura as he looked at a scroll that held his checklist on it. “My love your being very rude ignoring everypony like this.” Selena said her horn glowing a cobalt blue to pull away his check list he turned towards her revealing his cutie mark a quill with an inkpot.

“Hey you know how I feel about my checklists.” “And you’ll get it back when we are done.” Stygian grumbled but accepted finally the Herald said, “Presenting her Royal Highness Twilight sparkle.” A light grayish mulberry unicorn with violet eyes, a dark sapphire blue mane, tail with purple and raspberry streaks, her cutie mark was a pink six pointed star surrounded by six stars, a simple tiara was on her head she stood next to her mother she seemed average sized.

Selena smiled at her before looking towards the audience, “My loyal subjects! It’s been a thousand years since my dear sister Celestia was taken by the tantabus becoming Daybreaker. Sadly I had to use the elements of harmony to trap her in the sun and they became stone spheres… so I had the best magicians try their hardest and they finally produced a result.” A servant came forward with a necklace box. Selena took it, she opened it pulling out a necklace that had a circle pendant with six diamond shaped stones inside it. “They finally transformed them into something much easier to transport and now I give this pendant to my daughter.”

Selena put the pendant around Twi’s neck. Ponies cheered as Twi stepped forwards, “Thank you mother and I promise to protect these with my life.” Just then, the castle doors were blown open by a great force. Twi’s horn glowed a brilliant raspberry as a dark gray unicorn with green eyes, a cobalt blue mane and tail walked inside and Selena reacted first, “King Lucian? Is that you?” He looked up at her his eyes turning red, “Not anymore…” The white of his eyes turned green as a violet smoke came out of his eyes, his horn turned red and curved his amber magic changed to black engulfed with a vivid violet haze with light green edges.

“The tantabus promised to bring my darling Celestia back to me so I left Lucian I am now King Sombra!”
“My sister is no longer Queen Celestia you must know this.”
“I don’t care! My bond with my queen is for life. You know this, you did it for Stygian!” Selena did know what he was talking about: only Alicorns connected to outside sources like the sun and moon live forever. In fact Selena and Celestia was born when the world came into being and so to make sure their true love didn’t die of old age they preformed a spell called soul link, Stygian and Lucian will live as long as Selena and Celestia lived.

“One thousand years I suffered without Celestia. Well no more!” Sombra blasted the roof and all the ponies ran out of the castle. Sombra ignored them, he was looking at the sun. He sent another blast towards the sun, a glowing line was formed between him and the sun. “Now you keep your promise tantabus and bring Celestia back to me!” Selena watched in horror as the sun glowed purple before a bright light came out of it, then the line snapped and the sun glowed yellow again, the light came down and revealed Daybreaker.

Selena and Celestia were of equal height and so was Daybreaker, she as pure white like Celestia but unlike Celestia her mane and tail were made of fire, yellow eyes that were serpentine. She had fangs and her cutie mark was surrounded by orange and yellow. She looked like Selena, but unlike Selena who used her looks to scare the nightmares in dreams, Daybreaker wanted to scare the ponies. Sombra slowly approached her, “My darling Celestia…”
“It’s Daybreaker now Lucian or should I say Sombra.”
“Forgive me my darling Daybreaker.”

“Enough of that! We have them to deal with.” Her horn ignited red and Selena managed to make a shield before a red beam blasted them, “Twilight, run and find the elements of harmony!” Screamed Selena.
“But aren’t I wearing them right now?”
“No, even though those used to be the elements they are dead now, you need to find the ponies that represent them now!” Selena said straining against Daybreaker’s attacks. Stygian pushed his daughter in a hallway and they both ran. Twilight looked back just long enough to see her mother’s barrier break and Sombra’s magic striking her, covering her in black crystals. Twi sobbed as she continued to follow her father.

He lead her to a room with statues of the pillars of old Equestria. Stygian quickly used his magic to move items onto platforms in front of the statues; a flower, a mask, a shield, a shovel, a blindfold, a cloak, and a book. Once he placed them in their proper place, a secret doorway that lead outside opened. “Go and find the elements! The old ones of strength, healing, hope, beauty, bravery, knowledge, and sorcery won’t work anymore. You need to remake them into new elements. Also I’m taking this off, you no longer need it.”

He said this as his magic took off Twi’s crown. She shivered as she felt magic from the stars flow into her body, her mother thought it would be better if she was eased into her role as princess of the stars. Twi’s wings appeared as she got taller, her mane and tail ignited with magic and started flowing, completely changing to look like a galaxy. The colors in her old mane moved to her wings. She was only half the size of her mother since she hasn’t connected to the stars completely yet, “Dad I’m going to stick out like a sore hoof.”

“You need to make connections and you need to be yourself when you do it, now go.” They both heard Daybreaker’s armored hooves clopping against the stone getting closer. Stygian pushed his daughter outside before moving the items off the platforms, Twi watched as the secret doorway vanished inside with Stygian. He turned to face Daybreaker and Sombra. “Where is your daughter? The magic signature ends here.” Stygian tossed the suppressing crown away, “To bad you can’t find her now.” Daybreaker looked around, “There is a secret passage here. How do we open it?”

“Wouldn’t you like to know.”
“Actually I would, so tell me.”
“I won’t so you might as well turn me to crystal like my wife.” Sombra blasted him doing just that. “Sombra why did you do that? We could have tortured him for information!”
“I’m sorry my dear but he was insulting you… and I can’t reverse it because that would take positive emotions.”
“I would smash you right now but I need both of you.” Daybreaker said putting both crystal statues in a cell. Then she heard a voice, “It’s good to see you again.” She turned to face the pony who spoke.

He was white Alicorn , his green eyes looked back at her as his mane and tail flowed with magic, a ticking time stream inside both. His cutie mark was an hourglass, “Ah Chronos my son! It’s so good to see you.” Chronos was a bit shorter then Daybreaker. He had yet to grow into his full powers as the prince of time. “Mother I’m here to help.”
“Great! The tantabus will corrupt you too.” Chronos watched as a black and purple mist came out his mother and went into him, his coat turned black and his eyes turned red. “There, much better. Now we must find out where Selena’s daughter ran off too.”

Sombra looked confused, “Don’t you mean niece?”
“No, me and Selena aren’t related, we were simply ‘born’ on the same day so we became sisters in all but blood.”
“Oh I guess that makes sense, you two look nothing alike.”
“Anyway we need to find anything on her.”
“Her name is Twilight Sparkle.”
“Did you use your time powers?” Dark Eternity held up a newspaper in his green magic, “No I just read this newspaper. It said that Twilight sparkle's coronation was today.” Daybreaker looked at the paper reading it quickly.

“This doesn’t tell me anything I don’t already know. Worthless! But at least I know what she looks like, and she couldn’t have gotten far.” Meanwhile Twilight just finished running through the everfree forest, she took deep breaths as she stretched her legs and her wings twitched, “Oh dad I know you want me to make friends as myself but still…” She spread her wings as she looked at her flowing galaxy mane, “Ponies might be a bit overwhelmed…” She looked into town folding her wings. She sighed, walking the edge making sure to stay out of sight.

So to those who seen the MLP FIM movie you also know those orbs that turn the princesses to stone that's basically what happened here with Sombra's spell.

Getting some honesty

Twi heard some ponies shout, “Watch out!” She made a bubble shield and a scooter with a young teen pegasus ran into her shield. The scooter pushed against it but gently sprung back, the light brilliant gamboge pegasus took off her helmet revealing her messy moderate cerise mane and her grayish purple eyes looked at her with astonishment, “Oh my gosh… girls look!” Two other young teens poked their head from behind her. Twi tilted her head and behind the scooter was a wagon, she also noticed all three ponies had very similar cutie marks.

The light gray unicorn with grayish mulberry with light grayish rose streaks mane and tail, jumped off she was looking at Twi with her light grayish harlequin eyes, and the light grayish olive earth pony with brilliant amaranth mane and tail, jumped off on the other side her brilliant gamboge eyes were also staring at her, “My gosh Crusaders, we nearly ran over royalty!”
“Um… how do you know I’m royalty?”
“Your an alicorn right? Aren’t all alicorns royalty?”
“Plus you have that cool magical mane!”
“And your tall, like really tall!”

“Well those are all good observations. Yes I am royalty.”
“So awesome! I’m Scootaloo, this is Apple Bloom, and Sweetie Belle.” Sweetie Belle’s horn glowed a light grayish sap green as she pulled out a notepad, “Oh my gosh if we help royalty the cutie mark crusaders will be famous!”
“Yeah only one problem.” Twi felt her wing being moved and she turned her head to see Apple Bloom looking at her cutie mark Twi also noticed a red ribbon bow in her mane. “She already got a cutie mark.”
“That means nothing, tell us do you have issues with your talent?”

“Um…” Twi said trying not to get uncomfortable, “Well I have yet to connect with the stars…”
“Oh my gosh! That means you have a cutie mark problem and we can help you!”
“I’m sorry I don’t understand, how can you help me?”

“We are the cutie mark Crusaders and we are here to help with your cutie mark, if your lost or bare we are right there! Sometimes you try your best but your cutie mark won’t appear, or you already have it but your destiny isn’t clear, well don’t you worry because we are here! We are the cutie mark Crusaders and we are here to help with your cutie mark!”

“You three just burst into song…”
“It’s our theme song!”
“It’s very… short.”
“Well we think it’s fine the way it is, in any case we get to help royalty!” Twi heard the train whistle and noticed they had baggage with them, “Weren’t you girls going to catch the train?”
“Oh my gosh we almost forgot!” The two jumped back into the platform and Scootaloo went unto her scooter and her wings buzzed as they took off towards the train, as Twi watched them go she thought well they didn’t faint at the very least. She continued walking around the town and eventually she walked into an apple orchard.

She also saw a pear orchard not that far from where she was walking. A fence keeping the two apart, she saw a large barn and not wanting to get lost in this orchard she walked towards it, then heard a pony yell out. Thinking somepony was hurt she ran towards the yell but when she got there, the brilliant gamboge earth pony seemed fine. Her light grayish olive mane and tail were tied at the end, her cowboy hat was somehow staying on her head. Twi stepped towards her, “Excuse me I heard somepony yell. Is everything okay over here?”

The pony’s moderate sap green eyes widened when she saw Twi, “Whoa nelly, your royalty! Um oh gosh I’m pretty sure I’m supposed to bow…” She said, her hooves tangling in her panic and she fell forwards landing on her chest, her head laying on the ground. "Now I look like a hog tied donkey…” She face planted herself in embarrassment, Twi used her magic and helped the pony back on her hooves, “Oh my gosh are you okay? That was a nasty tumble.” Twi said brushing dirt off the pony’s chest. “What, your not insulted?” She asked.

“More worried then anything, please tell me your okay… um…”
“Applejack, the most dependable of ponies in Ponyville. Your not like most royalty I’ve heard about, that’s for sure.”
“Twilight sparkle. And is that a good or bad thing?”
“Oh good, now we got that foolishness aside you here to try some of Sweet Apple Acre apples?” Twi looked around at all the apple trees, “I guess I can stop to eat something haven’t had a meal since… last night actually was to nervous to eat this morning.”
“Now wait an apple picking moment are you telling me you haven’t eaten all day?!”

“Um… yes…” Twi said looking sheepish. “Then a few apples won’t do! Come on, we got to get you some grub!” Applejack said pushing Twi towards her house. “No really I’m fine… how are you this strong?” Twi looked down at her hooves which were leaving deep drag marks in the earth. “Years of apple bucking can move a boulder if I need to, now stop being as stubborn as a mule, you need a good home cooked meal.”
“Alright I yield, stop pushing.” Applejack stopped pushing her and Twi noticed she was pushed at least four feet.

Twi followed Applejack inside her house. She sat on a chair even though she wanted to help, “Your so strong I haven’t seen strength like that since Rockhoof.” Applejack laughed lightly as she was cutting apples, “You say that like you actually seen Rockhoof that’s impossible he died 1,000 years ago.” Twi chuckled nervously, how to explain she actually saw all the pillars as they lived their lives and passed on without Applejack freaking out? Best not try to explain her complex immortal life… “Right. What I meant was your as strong as what I read Rockhoof was.”

Applejack chuckled lightly, “I figured you meant that, your brain must be running slow from lack of food in your belly. Don’t you worry, once you get some of the apple families food in yeah, your mind will wake up like a rooster crowing in the morning.” After a while Applejack served a large meal that was apple themed. Twi picked up the utensils and noticed apples on the handles, her napkin had apple slices on it, the plates were apples blossom shaped, Twi almost had an anime sweat drop moment when she realized that Applejack’s family were crazy about apples.

“This looks delicious, can’t wait to try it.” Twi said feeling awkward again. She put a fork with a piece of apple fritter flapjacks in her mouth and her eyes widened so large that you could see her pupils had a heart with an apple in it, Twi drooled lightly as she just sat there, Applejack shook her, “Twi… Twi. Twilight!” Twi shook her head after pulling the fork from her mouth, “Sorry it’s just, that tasted so good, after a lifetime of eating royal meals I almost forgotten what real food tasted like.” Twi wanted to drop her utensils and simply dig in.

But she was a princess not some homeless pony, so she had to remember her manners. She ate every dish though, she burped lightly when she was done. “Whoa doggy I can tell you haven’t had good food, you act like you haven’t eaten good food for a thousand years.” Twi blushed as she wiped her mouth, “Yeah well royal chefs are experts but they forget the basics. They turn everything fancy, this is the best meal I’ve had in my life.” Applejack started to cry and Twi got up and immediately went to her, “Are you okay? I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.”

Applejack just hugged her, “You didn’t, you just made my day!” Twi smiled softly as she hugged her back, her wings wrapping around too, “You really did make the best food I’ve ever tasted and that’s the honest truth.” Applejack wiped her tears as they broke the hug, “I always strive to be honest but hearing your sincere honesty made my day.”
“Applejack your glowing!”
“Now I know that moments like this create a glowing moment but don’t you think…”
“Look at your hoof.” Applejack lifted her hoof to look at it and it was glowing she looked at her body and it too was glowing, she was glowing orange.

“What in tarnation is going on here! Why am I glowing?!” Twi looked down at her pendant and noticed one shard was glowing weakly. She touched Applejack and both glowed so bright that both of them had to close their eyes. When it was over the crystal shard was orange instead of gray and Applejack was wearing golden hoof shoes on her back hooves with an apple shaped orange gem on each, “What are these?” Applejack asked looking at her back hooves and Twi gasped, “Those are one of the elements of harmony!”

“The elements of what now?” Applejack said trying to take them off but they wouldn’t come off. “The elements of harmony dad told me I need to remake them from the old elements, and so the element of strength has become honesty!” Applejack looked at Twi, “Why won’t these come off?”
“Well you’re the owner of the element of honesty so in order to protect them they can’t come off your like a guardian now… a guardian of harmony!” Applejack stopped trying to pull them off and looked at them again, moving her hoof so that the gem would sparkle.

“Well they are a bit much but I can respect the apple gems… wait did you say strength? As in the old pillar Rockhoof of strength?!” Twilight was going to answer but noticed two ponies outside, both earth ponies. One was a pale gamboge female with a brilliant gamboge mane and tail with brilliant turquoise eyes and the other was a light grayish olive male with brilliant red mane and tail, with moderate harlequin eyes, “Applejack do you know those ponies?” Applejack looked and started crying she ran outside and Twi followed.

Applejack looked at the two ponies, “Ma? Pa? How is this possible? You… the timberwolves… so much blood… I buried…”
“Oh Applejack look at how you’ve grown.”
“Answer me, how are your here? You died!” Dark Eternity landed behind them, “I brought them here.” Twilight came forward, “Who are you? I’ve never seen you before.”
“Oh Twilie you know me.”
“Timey… Chronos is that you?”
“Actually it’s Dark Eternity now and I’m here because I felt an element awaken and using my time powers I figured out how to tempt your new element holder.”

He spread his wings over AJ’s parents one parent under each wing, “Applejack I’ll make you a trade those golden hoof shoes for your parents.” AJ looked at the hoof shoes, “But I can’t take them off.”
“You can transfer them to an Alicorn. Give them to me and you can have your parents.”
“How do I even know they are real?”
“Ask them something only they would know.”
“Ma, pa you told me something when Apple Bloom was born. What was it?”
“She is going to grow up with the best big sister in the world.”
“It is you… oh I missed you so…”

“Tick tock AJ, make your choice.” AJ looked at Twilight then at Eternity and finally she looked at her parents, “Ma, pa… I said I would give anything to have you here with me again…” Eternity smiled slowly AJ looked at the gems, she looked back at her parents she was crying softly, “I’m sorry but I can’t give these to you, I’m a guardian of honesty!” Eternity yelled his wings covering her parents and when he lifted them they were gone, “You foolish pony I’ll just kill you for them!” Eternity flew towards her out of instinct to defend herself she turned around and bucked him as hard as she could.

Eternity was bucked right into a mountain very far away AJ stared with disbelief, “Did I do that?” Twi stepped up next to her, “Well your element helped, but yes you did do that… why didn’t you take his offer?”
“I wanted to but my granny always told me to never trust a snake if you let it get close it will bite you, he remained me of a snake, I knew I couldn’t trust him to keep his end of the deal, he’s as honest as Flim and Flam, two salesponies who nearly took over my farm, but the town kicked them out quicker then a hurricane can destroy a building.”

Twi hugged her, “I’m sorry he taunted you with the two ponies you can never get back.”
“It’s alright I was strong then and I’m strong now.”
“Yes but it’s also okay to cry.”
“I’m not crying…” AJ said sobbing into Twi’s chest, Twi gently stroked AJ with her wings, she looked up at the sun glaring at it, she blamed Daybreaker for this, such a mean, heartless, and cruel creature she was to turn Chronos like that, and for him to do that to AJ… he wasn’t the same pony she played with that was for sure, he was dark Eternity now.

Author's Notes:

Applejack was the hardest to write as trying to write down her way of speaking is harder then you think hopefully I pulled it off.

We need loyalty

Twi stepped back suddenly when she saw the sun change color, AJ looked at her and when she noticed Twi was staring up, she also looked up. AJ couldn't look into the sun like Twi but she didn't need to as an image came out of the sun, it was Daybreaker. "PONIES AND CREATURES OF THE WORLD HEAR ME!" Daybreaker's voice ran out, "I am your new queen Daybreaker. As for your old queen Selena well I'm afraid she's a bit..." Daybreaker revealed Selena in statue form, "Preoccupied at the moment, and so it's up to me to take up controlling the sun and moon, however you ponies don't love and accept me but that's fine because the day will last forever!"

Twi heard screaming from the nearby town, the whole world was probably freaking out, Daybreaker laughed as her image vanished and Twi looked at AJ, "We have to go and get the other elements quickly!" Twi tried to fly away but was stopped by AJ biting her tail, "Whoa there!" Twi landed and AJ let go of her tail, "Sorry about that but you seem to be forgetting that I can't fly." Twi smacked her head, "Sorry I completely forgot about that in my panic." She used her magic and summoned a flying chariot, it could easily hold six ponies, "Get in." Twi said hooking herself in, AJ jumped into the chariot and once she was in Twi spread her wings and took off in the sky.

AJ looked over the edge of the chariot she gulped as she saw how far off the ground they were, "Whoa nelly we are really high."
"Relax your safe."
"So where are we going?"
"I'm not sure... maybe that cloud town can help." AJ looked, "That's called Cloudsdale it brings weather to the world." Twi felt a bit uneasy but flew into Cloudsdale anyway, the pegasi stared at her and she felt very uncomfortable, "This was a bad idea, I don't like to be stared at like this..." A rainbow streak flew past them then flew back revealing a light grayish cerulean pegasus with a rainbow mane and tail and moderate cerise eyes, "Hey everypony check this out!"

She yelled before doing some air tricks. The pegasi slowly turned their attention away from Twi. She saw the pegasus pointing in a certain direction and Twi slowly flew towards the way she pointed. She landed far away on a cloud next to a house with a rainbow fountain and the pegasus from earlier came up to them, "Well that worked out perfectly but of course it did because I'm awesome, the name is Rainbow Dash the best flyer in Cloudsdale!"
"Thank you Rainbow Dash I'm Twilight Sparkle and this is Applejack."
"Wow I never seen royalty pull a flying chariot before! Don't you have guards for that?"
"Oh well I was never given guards."

"Seriously your a royal, you got to have royal guards!"
"Well I don't. Sorry if that's a disappointment."
"Hey no worries no disappointment here but hey since I saved you and all can you put in a good word for me?"
"Um... to who?"
"The wonderbolts of course!" Rainbow said getting a poster from her house and showing it to Twi, "The best stunt flyers in the world!"
"Oh yeah I heard about them! Flash Magus himself started them as a military branch but then they created magical lightning and became stunt fliers. Of course this transition didn't happen overnight it took 500 years for them to become stunt fliers."

Both AJ and Rainbow stared at her before Rainbow broke the silence, "Wow you really know your history, are you an egghead?"
"I'm sorry a what?"
"You know a bookworm."
"If your asking if I read I do, have since I was a filly." Rainbow chuckled, "Oh my gosh a royal egghead, that is priceless!" She then started to laugh like crazy. "Uh you do realize your laughing at royalty and your ticket into the wonderbolts?" AJ asked bluntly, Rainbow stopped laughing and sat straight up, "I mean it's awesome that your so well read!"
"Wow you changed your tone in ten seconds flat."
"What are you saying? I am totally into your book reading."

Twi didn't look impressed, "Uh huh..." Twi was glad the element of honesty was given to AJ... "You suck at lying." Rainbow chuckled as she rubbed her leg, "Yeah I know but are we still good?" Twi sighed at the puppy eyed look Rainbow was giving her, "Yes we are still good."
"Yes awesome! I got a royal blessing because I'm awesome." Rainbow said dancing in the sky, Twi just watched her, "Well she's very brave... wait could she be..." She was interrupted by Rainbow flying in her face again, "You got to go talk to the wonderbolts now!" Got to test this pony, could be another element holder... "What about what Daybreaker said earlier?"

Rainbow sighed still flying in place, "What she said really bummed me out, I mean us weather ponies have to work overtime to make enough rain to last during the coming drought that will happen in the future, it's a lot of work but I'm loyal to Equestria first and foremost, even if I have to work all year to do it!" Twi saw Rainbow glowing yellow. The crystal next to orange was lightly glowing as well, Twi touched Rainbow and the bright light happened again. When it was over Rainbow's wings had gold protectors on them with yellow lighting bolts in the middle where her wing bended, Rainbow noticed them, "These... are... AWESOME!"

Rainbow tested them out and she flew so much faster, "What are these things?"
"An element of harmony, bravery has become loyalty!"
"Sweet I got the pillar Flash Magus of bravery!"
"Well technically it was remade into the element of loyalty..." Rainbow was moving her wings making her gems sparkle, "So awesome!"
"And she's not listening..." Rainbow ran into Eternity who just showed up, "Ouch... Whoa who are you and where did you come from?"
"I'm Dark Eternity and I'm here to make a deal..." Twi stood in front of Rainbow, "Oh no I'm not letting you scar yet another pony." Eternity looked at a very confused Rainbow.

"Rainbow Dash was it? How would you like to become captain of the best flight team in the world?" Rainbow flew around Twi looking excited at Eternity, "You can make me captain of the wonderbolts?!"
"Not exactly, shadowbolts front and center!" Three pegasi flew next to Eternity, "Behold Rainbow Dash you can become captain of my shadowbolts all you have to do is hand over your new element to me." Rainbow looked at them, "How do I know their more awesome then the wonderbolts?"
"Shadowbolts show them your stunts." They took off doing awesome stunts, some were even dangerous. Then they landed when they were done.

"That was twenty percent cooler then anything I've ever seen!"
"So what do you say, being captain is better then being just another stunt flyer." Rainbow looked at Twi then at the team, "Being captain is awesome and all but I don't know them and I definitely don't know you so I have to decline." The shadowbolts flew off as Eternity became angry, "Fine then force it is." His eyes glowed but Rainbow was faster making a tornado that dragged him in then flew away from Cloudsdale, "I... Will... Be... Back!" Eternity yelled and Rainbow scoffed at him, "Not cool." Twi hugged her, "Oh Rainbow thank you for choosing us."

Rainbow chuckled nervously, "I don't usually do hugs but for you I'll make an exception." Twi stopped hugging her, "Sorry about that but you also barely know us, why side with us?"
"Because I never leave my friends hanging and you two are my friends, they weren't."
"You two are my first female friends."
"Wait first female friends do you have a male friend?"
"I had one male friend, he and I used to play together when we were kids but now... Now I barely recognize him."
"Did he die?"
"No... He's just not the same pony anymore and losing him was hard. Hopefully when this journey is over I can get him back, now let's go find the other elements."

AJ who was still in the chariot scooted over to make room, Rainbow watched as Twi hooked herself back up to the chariot, "Get in Dash we need to go."
"I can fly."
"Please just get in, I also need a new location to go to."
"Oh how about Canterlot? Plenty of ponies there." Rainbow pointed towards the location before getting in the chariot, "I can still fly there faster." Twi chuckled as she took off back into the sky, "Sorry Dash but guardians have to stick together."
"I'm a guardian now? That is awesome!"
"Dash you haven't changed one bit." Twi quickly looked back at them, "Wait you two knew each other?"
"We did before Dash moved here, it all started with her doing a sonic rainboom..."

Author's Notes:

Here we get Daybreaker's speech to the world unlike Nightmare Moon who only told one town, I wanted to go bigger for Daybreaker to make it more impactful also Rainbow Dash was easy to write as, funny how they both are voiced by the same person but they are on the opposite sides of the board for me.

I can give you empathy

Twi landed just outside of Canterlot when AJ finished the story, "And after a while we sort of drifted apart, everypony moved away from Ponyville and I barely saw them, it was kind of lonely if I'm being honest, I miss our friends Dash, but I at least got to see you in the sky now and again." Dash hugged her, "I don't do mushy feelings but here's a hug."
"Oh Dashy you do love me." Dash stopped hugging her, "Oh shut up, we are both straight you weirdo." AJ chuckled as they both got off, Twi looked into the city, "Wow that's a lot of ponies..."
"I've been meaning to ask yeah, why are you so shy around ponies? Your royalty after all."

"What does me being royalty change anything?"
"Well you should have been around tons of ponies so..."
"It's not me being shy it's me not liking being stared at like I'm an exotic zoo animal."
"Ah well! You can relax Twi, after they have stared they will go back to normal. You do kind of stand out so their reaction is normal." Twi sighed, "Yeah I guess. Still don't like being stared at but I guess I have to get used to it." They all walked to the front gate of Canterlot and some guards stopped them, "Halt state your business."
"Wait she's an alicorn!"
"Oh visiting royalty! And what about those two with the gold armor on parts of their body"
"Dah, they are her royal guards."

"I guess that makes some sense. Continue." Twi tried not to chuckle out of nerves her friends flanked each side, "What are you doing?"
"We are supposed to be royal guards right? I think that is awesome."
"I just don't want to get dragged into the crowd. It will be harder to wrangle a manicore then get back out of that crowd." Twi smiled at AJ before noticing everypony was staring again, she felt so awkward that she just wanted to hide, she tried to look as small as possible before a voice said, "Everypony should know better then to stare!" Twi looked up at a brilliant amber unicorn with brilliant amaranth mane and tail both had apple green stripes, her moderate cyan eyes were glaring at everypony.

"Get on with your lives!" She shouted turning to everypony, Twi saw her red and yellow shimmering sun cutie mark, the unicorn's horn sparkled with light brilliant opal magic, daring anypony to deny her. They all went back to their lives and she walked up to Twi, "Hello and welcome to Canterlot your highness. I'm Sunset Shimmer."
"Oh I'm Twilight Sparkle no need for royal titles." Sunset nodded, "Any reason or you don't need one?"
"With what happened to my parents I don't feel much like a princess." Sunset nodded, "I completely understand, why are you here though?"
"You heard Daybreaker's proclamation right?"

"Oh yeah the whole world went into a spiral and everypony went crazy! The court wizards are trying to figure out a way to make it seem like night in the middle of the day so ponies can get sleep. It's not going so well but I believe in them to help everypony and every creature in the world."
"That's a good idea but a better idea is to use the elements of harmony on Daybreaker, Sombra, and Dark Eternity."
"Okay first who? And second are you kidding? The elements are just a fairy tale."
"Well my friends here think they are very real."

Both Rainbow and AJ stepped forwards, "Howdy Sunset."
"Hey Sunny."
"Wait is she another part of your old group?"
"Oh yeah she was the fiery unicorn we told you about." Twi looked at Sunset, "I can see that she also looks like Celestia's daughter but that's impossible."
"Wow do you really think that?"
"Yeah only I know you aren't related to her in anyway shape or form, Celestia only had one child Chronos and he never had kids."
"You make it sound like you were there a thousand years ago... Wait your an alicorn so you did live for a thousand years didn't you?" Twi chuckled nervously as all three stared at her, "Um... Yes."

"No way... That is so... AWESOME!" Rainbow said squealing as she pranced in place, "I mean I knew you were cool but you just became the coolest friend ever! You got to teach me stunts from the past!" Twi chuckled nervously as AJ shouted, "Now hold on! You mean to tell me you were alive when my parents..."
"Yes but it depends on when it happened because my family had to leave to Saddle Arabia for a whole year and we left the kingdom in the hooves of Duchess Amore she should have stopped the attack."

"What was so important that you had to leave for a year?!"
"That area and the area around it got a sickness... The very deadly kind."
"Oh... That's a very good reason, sorry for snapping like a clam."
"It's okay it's been a very stressful day." AJ looked at the sky, "It still is, ah guess Daybreaker was serious about the day lasting forever."
"Yes she seems very serious." Twi said before yawning. "Why don't I help you all get settled in?"
"Thank you that's very nice of you."
"It's no big deal even I can empathize with what your going through." Sunset started glowing red. Wasting no time Twi touched her and the bright flash happened. Sunset was wearing chest armor with a red sun gem in the center.

"Wha... Is this an element of harmony?"
"Yes it is, looks like you got my father's element of knowledge that was remade into empathy." Sunset looked at her, "Wait your father is Stygian, the pillar of knowledge? But he was a normal unicorn... Unless your mother is Queen Selena?"
"Wow it seems that not only do you girls get your own unique elements but you also represent the old elements as well." Sunset looked at the gem, "That seems to be the case, afterall AJ has strength and Dash is the bravest pony in the world."
"And your a geek!"
"Yeah mean she's filled with knowledge." Rainbow shrugged lightly.

"You say potato I say tomato."
"And he should appear soon." Twi said looking around, Sunset opened her mouth but Eternity landed right behind her shocking her, Twi glared at him stepping forwards, "Let me guess, your here to make another deal?"
"I would say whose the time alicorn now, but since I've done it twice already so I'm not surprised." He looked at Sunset, "This one was a bit difficult to find a weakness but I did it, you Sunset want to be an apprentice to a great magic user, give me that element and you can become my mother's apprentice."
"And your mother would be?"
"Queen Daybreaker."
"Actually she used to be Queen Celestia if your still confused."

"You mean Queen Celestia the ruler of the day and can control the sun with ease, that Celestia?! I can see her being Daybreaker now..."
"And that's all she will be! So do you accept or not?!" Sunset glared her horn flaring with power, "Why would I want to be the apprentice of somepony so stupid? I mean eternal day? How dumb is she? The whole world would burn in the future so thanks but no thanks!" She blasted him with a beam. Twi joined and the two mixed before hitting him he gasped in pain before flying off, Sunset watched him go, "Who was that guy?"
"Ah nuisance."
"He's totally not cool."

"I used to know him when we were young."
"You two were more then childhood friends weren't you?"
"We were betrothed at birth." Sunset gasped but AJ and Dash looked confused, "I'm sorry what did that word mean?"
"It means they were engaged to be married." They gasped as Twi looked away, "I was angry at first after all my mother choose her life mate, but then I meet Chronos, he was as bright as the sun, soft as a cloud, and as gentle as a spring breeze... But now he's become Dark Eternity and I barely recognize him."

Twi was crying softly and all three hugged her, Sunset whipped Twi's tears, "Come on let's get you settled." Sunset managed to get them a luxury hotel, in fact all of them were fighting for Twi to stay at their hotel because if royalty stayed there they could advertise it like crazy. Sunset picked the best one and then all three had to carry Twi inside because she was just limp, the bedroom had a bed big enough for all of them. They put her down and then snuggled into her, Twi was shaking slightly as they held her to calm her down, she was still crying her heart out but calmed down and passed out. After making sure she was asleep Twi's friends joined her in sleep.

Yes I hear the fans shouting that Sunset shouldn't be here but you guys forget that it was Celestia who kicked her out so no Celestia no crazy plan to jump through the mirror, this Sunset is smarter having her parents to support her, and I will be adding in them sending messages to their families to explain why they left Sunset will just talk to her family, including her brother, what brother you may ask, well you shall see.

Twi felt something poking her. It was kind of pointy but not to sharp. She slowly opened her eyes and a light mulberry dragon head with moderate pistachio serpentine eyes were staring at her, Twi immediately woke up yelling making the other three wake up, "Ugh... Ten more minutes..." Dash grumbled. "Much louder then a rooster crowing." AJ said as she yawned. "What's wrong?" Sunset said rubbing her eyes. "Dragon! Here in our room!" Sunset managed to look she saw the whole dragon, his light spring budish gray underbelly, his light lime green ear folds, and his moderate harlequin spikes going down his long body and in-between his wings.

"Oh that's just Spike..." Sunset said getting up, both dragon and pony were the same size, Twi then noticed a metal around the dragons neck that had a sun with a spiral in it. "What are you doing here Spike?"
"Well your brother was really worried when you weren't home when he checked your room, so I followed your scent here."
"Sunset!" A male voice shouted before a brilliant gamboge unicorn with light apple greenish gray spots ran towards Sunset, his blue star cloak flapping just enough that you could see his cutie mark an orange sun with bursting yellow rays and six blue stars, his vivid and brilliant vermillion mane and tail were really messy, and glasses made his moderate cyan eyes bigger.

He tackled Sunset in a hug as Sunset tried to stay standing, "Sunburst! What did I say about nearly tackling me to the ground?"
"I don't care because I was really worried!" The two hugged then smiled at each other, "Oh little brother I could never be mad at you."
"I'm only younger then you..."
"By a few minutes yes I know, must you bring that up all the time bro?" Sunburst horn glowed a light yellow as his magic flicked her mane back in place, "I'll keep reminding you until you stop calling me your little brother." Sunset laughed as she flicked his mane in response, "But I find it so hilarious, and your reactions are so adorable."

"See Sunburst I told you not to freak out she's perfectly fine." A female voice said and Twi watched as a pale light grayish heliotrope unicorn slowly trotted into the room, her mane and tail were a moderate purple with light purple and light grayish aquamarine highlights, she looked at Twi with wide moderate persian blue eyes, "See you were in such a rush you missed the alicorn in the room..." Her horn glowed a light turquoise as she dragged him back to look at Twi. "Oh my gosh you now what this means Starlight glimmer?!" Starlight sighed muttering, "Visiting royalty." Before Sunburst yelled, "Visiting royalty!"

Twi finally noticed that Starlight's cutie mark was a purple and white star with two blue glimmering streams before Starlight turned towards her, "Forgive my boyfriend he can be far sighted when it comes to things that are right in front of him."
"Hey that's not fair I'm wearing these glasses for a reason."
"And yet you still missed princess..."
"Twilight Sparkle and no princess please, not right now."
"I don't understand but I'll respect your choice."
"Anyway sis mom and dad are freaked."
"Ah reckon all our families are freaked."
"My parents are really clingy so they're probably freaked as well."
"But we can't go back to Cloudsdale and Ponyville we need to stop Daybreaker."

"Hey relax everypony we can just use Spike, I enchanted his dragon fire to send scrolls to anypony you can think of."
"Augh is that possible?" Twi rubbed her chin thinking, "Give me a moment I'm going through my mental library now..." In her mind she was pulling books she read, until she reached the books on creatures, she went through them until reaching dragons then went through the book and then answered, "It's very possible if you can make a deep connection with the dragon." Sunset looked impressed, "Wow that's some memory you got there." Dash snorted out an, "Egghead." AJ just hit Dash's head.

"Anyway just write your family a message on these scrolls, tell Spike the pony to send it to, and he will think of the name before burning the scroll sending it on its way." Sunset said giving AJ and Dash a scroll and quill, she then looked at Twi who sighed lightly, "It's not that easy for me." After they wrote what they needed and Spike sent them on their way Twi nodded, "Alright is everypony ready to go?"
"Wait go? Sis where are you going?!"
"See this chest plate? It's an element of harmony, we need to find the others."
"Yes and we need to do it quickly so I'm sorry but we got to go." Spike followed them to the flying chariot.

"Wait why are you pulling it?" He asked as he saw Twi going to the front, "I'm the only one strong enough and can fly who can pull it."
"Get in the chariot I'll pull it." He said hooking himself in. "Spike you don't need to do this."
"Like I'm going to let my little sister go on a journey without me."
"Wait... Sister?"
"My mother found his egg in an empty nest when she was traveling, she told some dragons who said it was a runt, so she kept his egg and managed to hatch him, she raised him way before she had us."
"Ah that's why he's so big, he's a teenager in dragon years. You see dragons age slower then ponies." Twi explained when she saw AJ and Dash's confused look.

They all climbed into the chariot and Spike looked at them, "Where to now?"
"We should try Manehattan." Spike nodded taking off. Twi sat in the front of the chariot then Sunset, Dash, and AJ. They eventually landed and Spike pulled the chariot into Manehattan. Some ponies stared at the odd sight of a dragon pulling a flying chariot with an alicorn and three other ponies but Spike moved on and Twi looked at all the ponies, "Now I don't know which pony would carry the next element but..." Spike stopped in front of a clothing store. "Spike why did you stop?" He parked the chariot then went inside, "Spike wait!"

All four followed him. Inside there was music, workers and Spike staring at a very light gray unicorn. Her mane and tail was moderate indigo with gradients of dark mulberry to moderate mulberry styled in curls, and her horn was glowing a very light heliotrope as she moved fabric pieces in front of her moderate azure eyes. She was even wearing light cornflower blueish gray eyeshadow, "No... No... Oh heavens no." Twi waved her hoof in front of his face but he kept staring. In fact everypony was staring at them, Twi chuckled nervously as she went to the unicorn, "Excuse me."
"Just a moment darling I'm in the zone so to speak."

She said bringing gemstones to look at and comparing them to the fabric pieces, that's when Twi noticed her cutie mark three blue gemstones, finally the unicorn said, "Yes this is the perfect combination!" She put everything else away keeping one gem and one fabric piece, "Now how can I help..." She turned to face Twi her mouth dropping her eyes widening, "Oh my gosh... There's a royal in my shop... There'saroyalinmyshop!" She said very quickly as she started to run around reorganizing everything, finally she bowed in front of Twi, "Your highness welcome to Rarity For You, please forgive me for ignoring you! I'm Rarity."

Twi looked at Rarity while Dash whistled, "Geez Rare and here I thought you were too prim and proper for any sweaty work, you were almost as fast as me!" Rarity looked up at her, "Dash? Darling where did you get these?!" She asked using her magic to pull Dash's wing out to stare at the gold protector on it, "That yellow lighting bolt gem is simply stunning and the gold metal is simply divine."
"Wait she's another old friend? How is this possible? I'm the princess of the stars not of coincidences."
"I rightly don't know, also Rarity let go of Dash's wing."
"AJ you got them too?" Rarity said looking at her back hooves, "And Sunny as well?"

"Rarity please stop yanking my wing!" Dash yelled and Rarity let go, "Oh I'm sorry darling it's just all your accessories are just beautiful!" She then noticed Spike staring at her, "Oh my..." She trotted up to him, "Well hello there handsome." Spike meeped before looking around then pointing to himself, "Are you talking to me?"
"Of course I am, your scales are so shiny, and those muscles..." She rubbed his leg, "Oh yes Rarity likes."
"Rarity would you please stop flirting with my big brother."
"You mean this is Spikey-wikey? I see it now but darling did you grow." She blushed when she looked him over, "How about you, me, and some smoothies."

Spike's face turned red as he nodded like mad, Sunset glared at her, "Rarity we don't have time for this, we are on a mission."
"Oh does it have to do with that awful proclamation I heard? Ever since that pompous Daybreaker spoke it's been day since yesterday... Well what was supposed to be yesterday it's kind of hard to keep track with the sun being constantly in the sky, and the heat! Oh it's killer on my curls, and I'm trying my best to keep my customers happy, I've been working on beautiful outfits to distract them, but not even my fabulous new fabric I've developed has helped, and it took me so long to make it stretchy but not clingy, shimmery but not showy."

Rarity dramatically fainted and Spike caught her, "All my hard work, all my generosity down the drain like soap suds in a shower!" Twi touched her when she began to glow and when it was over Rarity was wearing a golden choker necklace with a purple diamond shape gem in the middle, Rarity looked in the mirror and gasped, "Am I seeing things?"
"No your not, beauty has become generosity."
"You mean Mistmane the pillar of beauty's element is on my neck?!"
"Sort of, its now yours. It turned to generosity."
"And it would be so generous of you to hoof it over now." Dark Eternity said coming into the shop scaring the customers out.

Rarity looked at him up and down, "Ugh to much black, and those red eyes, what did you smoke a ton of weed or something? That magical mane, it looks like that episode of doctor hooves when he used his blue box to time travel, and those wings, they look ridiculous, all poofy and fluffy like that, what did you forget wing grooming or something?" She shook her head, "No, no, nope! I want you out of my sight!"
"But I haven't even..."
"Spike be a gentledrake and get this travesty out of my sight immediately!" Spike snapped his wings out growling deeply, green fire flickering from his mouth, Eternity slowly left.

Twi remembered what the book on dragons said, the one thing that could take on a young alicorn was a dragon, even teenage dragons, their flames burned hotter then the sun's core, their teeth and claws can easily rip young alicorns to shreds, and when fighting for a mate they usually fight to kill, extremely dangerous do not engage! Rarity hugged Spike, "Oh Spike my brave knight, I knew you would get him to leave!" Spike blushed going back to his sweet self, "It was no problem. Anything for you Rarity."
"Oh such a gentledrake." She said giving Spike a kiss on the cheek and he fell over the the side like a mannequin tipping over.

"Spike are you alright?" Rarity said poking him lightly, Sunset scanned him with her magic, "He's fine, just went into a love coma. He'll snap out of it eventually."
"Is this typical dragon behavior?"
"No but it is typical male behavior."
"Oh don't worry Spike. I'll sit right here until you snap out of it." Rarity said sitting down, Sunset sat as well, "Might as well get cozy this could last for hours." Dash groaned, "But that's boring!"
"Sorry Dash but we can't just leave him here."
"She's right you know, might as well get comfy." AJ said grabbing some magazines, "Come look at these clothes, some of them are a hoot." Dash laid down looking at them and laughing, "Is that a disco ball? What is that outfit for, 70's disco night?" They both laughed as Rarity huffed.

So for those who don't know Brony Notion or sawtooth had a video that went into the theory that Sunset Shimmer, Sunburst, Stellar Flare and Sunspot (rename Solar wind because it does fit better) are a family, yes I know the wiki doesn't support this but I do also why is Starlight with Sunburst shouldn't she have gotten mad and started that cult town well again there is no Celestia so no school for Celestia's school for gifted unicorn's, so Sunburst didn't leave when he got his cutie mark they grew up together and moved together, at least that's how I think it would go.

My heart has enough kindness for all

When Spike finally woke up Dash and AJ were still going over how ridiculous the outfits were, "Look this one looks like a marsh, what are they doing, going to a swamp?"
"Enough already! Making fun of fashion is a major faux pas in my presence!" Rarity said trying to take the magazine out of their grip. "Come on Rare it's funny."
"Oh you want to go down that route do you? Well the wonderbolts are just a bunch of fancy fliers who get paid to do silly air maneuvers!" Dash gasped letting go of the magazine and curled in on herself as if struck. "Yeah doesn't seem so funny when the horseshoe is on the other hoof does it darling?!"

"You take that back!"
"Only once you apologize for making fun of fashion!"
"No you take it back first!"
"Correct me if I'm wrong but you darling started this, so you must be the first one to end it!"
"Enough both of you, your both braying at each other like a bunch of donkeys. Now you both should just apologize and move on already!" AJ shouted pushing the two apart. "Rarity why is your mane messy?" Spike asked slowly as he got up, Rarity gasped grabbing a brush and fixed her mane, "Just a little tizzy my darling Spike, I'm so glad to see you moving again."
"Yeah last thing I remember is you kissing my cheek."

Spike said shaking his head. Rarity helped to steady him as he looked around, "How long was I out?" "Minimum two hours." Sunset said steadying him on the other side. "Are you alright to move?" Spike moved his joints showing off his muscles making Rarity blush, "Yeah I'm good, let's get moving." Spike moved ahead and after everypony was in the chariot and Spike hooked himself in he took off, "So where to next?" "Well I've been thinking that it's awfully convenient that our old friend group is becoming the new guardians, so I've come to the conclusion that our last two friends are the other element holders."

Sunset said as Twi nodded, "Yes we talked it over while you were out, those two were laughing at outfits in magazines, and Rarity just got huffy until she snapped."
"First we should try Fluttershy, she's the closest living in Rainbow Falls."
"Got it! Heading towards there now." Spike said moving to the side slightly to turn himself and the chariot towards the new direction, they reached their destination in what should have been mid afternoon but the sun hasn't moved an inch so they had to go off clocks. "There's her animal sanctuary just out of town!" Sunset said pointing and Spike landed not to close, "I'll just stay here, animals freak when they see a major predator like me."

Rarity gently stroked his scales, "It's alright my dear, you stay here we will be back soon." She said before walking into the sanctuary with the others. The whole place was natural using nature to the fullest, animals were relaxing or eating in peace. They eventually spotted a pale light grayish gold pegasus, her long pale light grayish rose mane covered one eye, her tail just barely touched the ground as she was feeding baby birds in a tree. Her moderate cyan eyes noticed them and she meeped hiding behind her mane even more.

"Oh hello everypony... It's so nice to see you... What are you doing here?" She asked barely above a whisper. "Fluttershy this is Twilight Sparkle and she's here to test something out."
"Don't you dare hurt my animals by using magic on them, or I will use the stare on you!" Shy snapped surprising Twi, "Ah no it's not about the animals it's about you."
"Oh dear... I'm sorry about that... Um what are you testing on me... Is it dangerous?" Shy said whimpering the last part out. "Oh no it's nothing dangerous at all in fact the test is quite easy, please tell me what your doing for Equestria."
"That's it? That's all you want to test me on?"

"Uh yes..." Twi said tilting her head, gosh she got whiplash from Shy's mood swings. First she's timid, then she's angry, then she's cautious but hopeful. "Oh okay... Um since Daybreaker has been keeping the sun in the sky I had to work very hard to help nocturnal animals sleep, they can get very cranky when they get no sleep, but I try my best to be helpful because spreading kindness doesn't cost anything." Both pendants crystal and Shy glowed green, a quick touch and Shy got golden hoof shoes on her front hooves with a green butterfly gem on each, "Oh goodness..."
"It seems healing has become kindness."

"Healing as in the mage Meadowbrook pillar of healing?"
"Yes... You girls seem to know the pillars very well."
"We read about them together growing up."
"Darling I just noticed that pendant around your neck, it seems the crystals are in the correct order of the rainbow going clockwise except blue is missing."
"These are the original elements of harmony that were used on Daybreaker to seal her in the sun, and they were turned into these crystal shapes for easier transport. As for the missing color we still have a missing element."
"Wait there are seven pillars so there should be seven crystals."
"Yeah I wondered that too but one seemed to have vanished."

Twi looked in the sky, "And Eternity is coming." Eternity landed looking a bit rugged and tired, "You yellow pegasus you should be the easiest to convince. Your the element of kindness, would you kindly give it to me?" The animals were freaking out, "Um... Would you please..." She muttered the last part. "What was that?"
"Um... I want you..." She muttered the last part again. "Speak up." Shy squeaked out words. "Just spit it out!"
"Um... I want you to leave your scaring the animals."
"These pathetic pieces of fur?!" His horn ignited as he glared at them, "Oh I see! Give me your element and I won't kill them!"

Shy was in his way in a second, "Don't you dare threaten my animals!"
"As if you can stop me!" Shy flew up to face, "All right you forced me to do this." Shy said closing her eyes, she snapped them open, her eyes huge as she stared him down. Eternity held out longer then everything or anypony else but he finally buckled under her stare, he whimpered as he slowly crawled away with Shy staring him down until he flew off, she took a deep breath calming herself down, "I'm so sorry about that..." Shy muttered as Twi came up to her, "I didn't want to do that but he pushed me by threatening my animals."

Twi hugged her gently with one wing, "Hey it's okay even the sweetest of ponies have triggers, what was that you did though?"
"Oh that... I call it the stare, it works on difficult animals but it can be used on other ponies. I just rather not, it makes me feel awful afterwards."
"Hey he was threatening your animals. You acted in self defense for the animals at that point." Shy's animals hugged her showing their thanks, "Oh that makes me feel a bit better." Twi hugged her a tad tighter, "You have a big pure golden heart don't forget that." The animals started singing a soft tone, and Shy smiled, "Yeah I definitely won't forget it with all my friends reminding me."

Twi looked at the sun. Somepony used to have the same heart, could it be brought back? The rest of their friends joined them, it was a sweet scene as they walked to the flying chariot, Shy did freak out at the sight of Spike, "What's wrong?"
"Dragon!" "It's okay he won't hurt you." Shy slowly walked to Spike who just stood still. After a while Shy got comfortable. "Oh... your a friendly dragon... And your not that big... I guess I can trust you." They all climbed inside the chariot and Spike took off into the sky, "Where too now?"
"We need to go to Rockville that's where Pinkie pie is, not sure why though but that's just Pinkie for you."
"What do you mean by that?" All of them smiled, "Well..."

Let's bring laughter back

Spike landed in Rockville as Sunset finished, "And so when Pinkie is twitching you should listen." Twi's eye twitched slightly, "But that doesn't make any sense... Unless she's not a normal earth pony." They all got off and were greeted by a pale light grayish raspberry earth pony who was bouncing in place, "Well it's about time you showed up, the author really was making those Pinkie fans wait huh? Oh look! Now Wolfgoddess1990 is going to write about my poofy mane being brilliant raspberry and my eyes being light cerulean!" Um... "Opps, Pinkie you silly pony! You shouldn't speak about the script that's going to spoil the whole story and that won't be fun."

"Ugh hi my name is..."
"Twilight sparkle I know. I also know your here because I'm the last element bearer." Pinkie gasped, "Oh no I did it again!" Pinkie looked at the screen, "Please forgive me! I swear no more spoilers." She smiled as she hugged the screen, "But that doesn't mean no more fourth wall breaks!" Twi pulled Pinkie back using magic, "Ah what are you doing?"
"Hugging Lillian... Oh I mean wolfgoddess1990, I shouldn't give out her private information." Twi looked around towards the screen, "Is this normal for Pinkie?" All the others nodded and said, "Yes." Twi put her down, "So her hugging air is normal?"
"Yes!" They all said.

"Just don't think about it to hard darling." Sunset sighed nodded, "Trust me I tried to logic Pinkie, I got so mad my mane burst into flames."
"Ooh this is the part where viewers would say she turned into rapidash, then the author would nod saying it's a pokemon reference..."
"Just don't think about it just accept that Pinkie is just herself." Pinkie squealed as she pulled out her party cannon, "Let's throw a gathering the guardians of harmony party!"
"But we have to yet make yours appear..."
"Oh right! Such a silly pony I am, anyway I'm laughter, you know it and I know it." Pinkie said looking at the screen again as she glowed blue, "See I'm already glowing, touch me, touch me!"

Twi touched her. The flash of light happened and Pinkie got body armor with a blue balloon gem on both sides, "Look see I got Somnambula the pillar of hope remade into laughter!" Pinkie then looked at the sky and Eternity landed as she watched him, "Oh your here!"
"Yes no more games..."
"Games?! I love games! My favorite is tag!"
"Enough I'm just going..."
"Tag your it!" Pinkie said poking Eternity's nose before running off. "Kill you!" He shouted blasting after Pinkie who was laughing as she bounced around, "Whee! This is the funnest game of tag ever!"
"Stop moving and take this seriously!"
"Sorry but... the rules of tag... are important... to me."

Pinkie said jumping to new locations each time Eternity tried to blast her. The others were watching and Twi spoke up, "Should we step in or..."
"Oh don't worry about Pinkie, she's as slippery as an eel when she gets started." AJ said chuckling. Eternity stopped blasting and started to try to catch her. He ran into the ground, then a bush, then a tree trying to catch her, "Ouch that looks like it hurts." Pinkie said bouncing beside Eternity who groaned as he peeled himself off the tree, "I'm going... To still... Kill you..." Pinkie chuckled as she touched his nose, "Boop your still it!" He yelled getting up chasing her. When he chased her around a rock pile she was gone, "Wait what! Where did she go?"

"Boop still it." Pinkie said poking his wing from around the other side of the rock pile. He looked quickly but she was gone again. He looked around at the other rock piles, he moved looking around them, being poked in different locations each time, and each time he checked and she was gone. "Are you playing tag or hide or seek?!"
"Por qué no los dos? J'aime jouer, gør du ikke? An óchi den écheis pláka." Pinkie said popping out of random locations for each different language. "What the heck does that mean?"
"Like I would tell the audience, that would be cheating."

"Your making no sense!" The jaws music started to play, "Sense?" She said popping up far away before vanishing. "Sense?" She said popping up closer. "Sense?!" She said popping up even closer, then finally she popped up right in front of him scaring him, "Sense! I don't need to make sense! TASTE MY PARTY CANNON!" She said pulling it out of the ether and hitting him with confetti. Eternity's eye twitched as he yelled trying to blast her but Pinkie vanished again and Eternity found himself in a giant party cannon and Pinkie blasted him away, "Soshite chīmudākunesu ga futatabi bakuhatsu suru!" She shouted as she watched him fly.

She giggled as the rest of the gang joined her, "Well that was fun, now we hug, have an epiphany, then... Opps almost spoiled it again!" Pinkie said pulling them all into a hug by stretching her front hooves, "Now wait for it..." The pendent glowed brightly. It flew off Twi's neck, the crystals shooting out their respective colors then coming together. It was so bright it was like a star. Finally the light landed on Twi's head making a helmet and crown in one with a white star gem in the middle of the crown. Twi gasped summoning a mirror to look at it, "I got the last element... Star swirl the bearded pillar of sorcery has become magic!"

Pinkie set off her party cannon making more confetti appear, "Now let's throw that gathering the guardians of harmony party!"
"But what about taking down..."
"Party first!" Pinkie said slowly pulling out a knife, she rubbed the blade before cutting the rope on a box releasing a rainbow of balloons, "See I already got the balloons!" She stared at Twilight slowly rubbing the knife blade, "We do have time for at least one party... RIGHT?!"
"Uh... Sure one party won't kill us..." Twi sweat-dropped as she thought, please don't hurt me! Pinkie smiled, "Great I'll get the cupcakes!"
"Please tell me that isn't normal Pinkie behavior."
"No it's not." They all said.

Friendship is Magic!

After the party was over and they cleaned up the mess, Spike took off into the sky, "I can't believe I was an element all this time." Said Twi.
"Believe it but the readers all ready knew that your element was magic but the author thought that building to the reveal at the end would be a nice reference to the first two episodes of season one of our show, my little pony friendship is magic."
"I'm sorry what?"
"Well a lot of Bronies and pegasisters griped about those episodes being sloppy at best and badly put together at worst, us proving we are the elements was too rushed and the boss fight was squashed too quickly to be a boss fight."

Twi looked at her oddly, "Your saying strange things. Spike the castle is a little more to the left." Spike moved as Pinkie smiled, "Well also in the show your not the daughter of Selena. In fact Selena doesn't exist. Her name is Luna and she looks like a wooby, your the daughter of two normal unicorns, Twilight Velvet and Night Light. Your also the personal student of princess Celestia who needed one after Sunset Shimmer jumped through a mirror portal."
"I'm sorry but why would I jump through a random mirror that can go anywhere? That doesn't seem very smart."
"Well you were a bit pissed when Celestia kicked you out."

"Still that doesn't seem very safe, what if that portal opened to a dangerous realm!"
"Oh the realm you entered was pretty dangerous all right. No magic only technology, the air is thick with toxic fumes, weapons like guns or missiles, deadly machines that can crush you, and worst of all SCHOOL!" Sunset was shaking until the last part was said, "Wait school? School isn't that bad."
"This school isn't fun, you have to sit in small rooms in equally small desks for eight hours, listening to teachers drone on about pointless things, you only get two breaks both barely lasting an hour, and you have to deal with peer pressure from students."

"You also have to carry a mountain of books, cram knowledge into your brain for tests, and hopefully at the end graduate, and maybe get a pointless job that also lasts eight hours for crummy pay!" Sunset shivered, "My gosh I'm so glad our schools aren't like that." Spike looked down wondering if he was going the right way, Twi also looked, "Try going a bit more North." Spike moved flying North. "Also Sunny you don't have a family! Your an orphan, and Sunburst isn't in a loving relationship with his girlfriend Starlight. She started a cult against cutie marks because he left her, she even used her magic to remove cutie marks."

Pinkie shouted dramatically, "She was coo coo, bonkers, crazy banana sandwich! Also Amore isn't alive and she didn't raise her daughter duchess Cadance in the crystal empire, plus the empire was gone for a thousand years because Sombra made it vanish!"
"Okay hold on Sombra is Lucian's dark side."
"Not in the Canon universe, Sombra is the only side he has and we completely disintegrate him!"
"Oh look there's the castle!" Twi shouted thinking thank god for distractions. They landed just far enough away so that no guards would spot them, Twi poked her head through the foliage and spotted stone golems at the front door.

"Oh great, those stone golems won't move unless there is a threat." Spike came forwards, "What about me? I can be seen as a threat."
"Your too young, maybe you'll get one to chase you but not both. Rarity can you find gemstones?"
"Well yes Darling but this is hardly the time."
"Please I need one." Rarity's horn ignited she found gemstones in the dirt and Twi dug them up, she carefully examined them one at a time before keeping a pink gem. Twi poured magic into it then sinked the gem into the metal, Spike grew bigger until he was a young adult, "Whoa growth spurt!"
"Not exactly. It's an illusion but those golems won't be able to tell the difference. They are dumb like rocks like that."

Pinkie laughed, "Hey that was a good joke."
"Anyway go distract them." Spike stomped towards them then roared in their face, they both turned their heads to look at Spike before moving to attack him, Spike ran off and the two followed trying to chase him down. The girls sneaked into the front door being cautious, "Careful girls there could be more guards."
"What about traps? Spooky old castles always booby traps!"
"Sorry Dash but this is a lived in castle, no booby traps here. Be kind of silly putting them in don't you think?"
"Augh bummer this is..."
"Shush!" Twi said clamping Dash's mouth closed, a golem slowly passed by them. It didn't notice them because they were in the hallway.

"Try being a bit quiet! Fighting those golems isn't easy, they have the power to resurrect themselves and unless you crush their crystal heart they will always come back." Twi whispered as she looked around. Once the coast was clear they moved ahead. Dash was grumbling lightly but was staying quiet. They heard yelling and they entered the throne room, Daybreaker was yelling at Dark Eternity, "A bloody game of tag got you this time?!"
"But mother she was teleporting around without a horn, that isn't normal!" Daybreaker hit him in the face so hard it drew blood, "I don't bloody care! You didn't get a single..."

Daybreaker noticed Twi and her friends. "Element." She smiled, "Sombra we have company!" Sombra came into the room as Eternity whipped his bloody lip. "Ah if it's not my darling niece, you look different."
"Daybreaker you and your family have one chance to stop this, please we don't have to go down this route."
"Your right we don't, give me the elements and surrender yourselves to me!"
"Like we would ever do that!" All six of her friends flanked her, three on each side. "Do you even know how to use those trinkets?"
"Uh..." Daybreaker laughed, "Oh how pathetic!" Her firey mane bellowed into the air making a vortex of fire.

"Those miserable gems are nothing but decorations and soon they will be accessories to hang on my wall!" Daybreaker blasted her magic towards them and Twi put up a shield protecting them all. "Hmm, where have I seen this before? Let me think..." Daybreaker hummed some more as Twi strained against the blast, "Oh yes! I remember. This is just the way your mother looked before she was turned to stone!"
"Maybe but I have something she didn't have!" Sombra and Eternity joined in as Daybreaker laughed, "Oh yeah and what's that?" Twi stood proud as she put all her power in the shield, "Friends!" Twi shouted.

"Eternity foolishly told me we can transfer our elements to an Alicorn, let's give them to Twi!" Applejack stated focusing on Twilight. Her element gem glowed, Rainbow Dash did the same, as did Sunset Shimmer, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie pie. All their elements glowed as they transferred to Twilight and she felt a power surge. She looked at her friends, they were all passed out from exhaustion, she looked back at the three corrupted ponies, she tried to use the elements but they weren't doing anything. Daybreaker whispered something to the other two and they put their horns together and the blast gotten three times stronger.

Twi stood her ground but she felt like it was a losing battle. Then she heard her parents voice in her ear, "Accept who you are, your not just Twilight Sparkle." Twi planted her hooves and spread her wings out, "I am Princess Twilight Sparkle, alicorn of the stars and guardian of harmony! YOU WON'T HURT MY FRIENDS!" The gems glowed then moved to the crown, Twi finally connected to the stars, she grew bigger until she was the same size as her mother, her eyes became like a burning white dwarf star, bright and ethereal, her wings have gotten huge sparkling like comet tails, the armor looked better on her now more then ever.

Twi slowly walked closer to them as they tried to push her away with their triple beam, but she kept on moving forwards as if she barely felt the beam at all, "No, I won't go down like this, do you hear me? The day will last forever!" Twilight was lifted off the ground without flapping her wings and they stopped attacking transfixed by her. Finally the crown glowed and blasted them with a rainbow, they screamed until it was over. Twi floated back down looking completely drained, she went back to her previous form before the upgrade to adult alicorn, she managed to see that her parents were back to normal and as was Celestia and her family before completely blacking out.

Twi woke up surrounded by her friends, she slowly got up, "Hey girls... Don't worry I'm fine." "Well darling your not the only one." Rarity said moving aside, Twi saw Celestia talking with her mother, Stygian looking over Lucian for any injuries, and finally... "Chronos!" Twi cried as she ran towards him and tackled him to the ground. They both fell into a tangled heep on the ground as he chuckled, "Wow you really missed me." Twi kissed him like crazy as she hugged him deeply, "Of course I did, I was afraid to never see you again!" Chronos simply hugged her back, "I missed you too."
"Ah hem!" The two jumped apart as their mothers stared at them.

"Queen Selena has agreed to give the sun duties back to me. Of course after I make a public apology for the day lasting so long."
"Oh it's alright Queen Celestia. It only lasted two days at the most."
"I'll still apologize, then we will hopefully take over the castle in Canterlot, my sister told me the Baron is being a burden." Pinkie laughed, "Ha I get it!"
"So we will take over and make things easier in Canterlot."
"But mother I was just reunited with Chronos, do we really have to be separated now?!"
"Oh don't worry, you two are still betrothed so if you want to move ahead with the wedding now..." Twi hugged Chronos who sighed but nodded.

It was a most historical day in Canterlot, a royal couple was getting married! And everypony was simply buzzing with excitement. In the kitchen Applejack was whipping up the banquet for the royal wedding but she wasn't satisfied with the flavors, "Dang nabbit, at this rate I'll use up all the ingredients trying to figure out what's wrong!" A light amber earth pony male walked passed AJ. She saw his grayish tangelo mane first then the tray he was carrying on his neck, it was filled with jars of something, "Hey you, what are you carrying?" He looked at her with his moderate cerulean eyes and AJ noticed his cutie mark was a caramel piece surrounded by what looked like a splat of chocolate.

The pony looked around before looking back at her, "Are you talking to me?"
"Yeah I am, get your tail over here!" He trotted over, AJ grabbed a jar looking at it, "Who are you and what are these?"
"My name is Caramel and that jar is filled with cinnamon." He said taking it back, "I also got cream, honey, and of course caramel."
"That's it, that's what I was missing! I need these to make my meals better, do you have any another flavors?" Caramel nodded smiling, "I also got chocolate, and vanilla..."
"Great get them all, and I should add pears and oranges for extra flavors!" She side hugged him, "Oh thank you my food muse!"

Caramel blushed before bringing all his jars from home. He helped AJ in the kitchen, helping her add the extra flavors when necessary. The two were whipping up new food like cinnamon apple pie, pear cupcakes with vanilla frosting and caramel drizzle, and creamy orange mousse, he even made chocolate dipped strawberries introducing berries to the tree fruit farmer, who was surprised to learn they grew on bushes. "But you can't buck a bush!"
"Your supposed to hoof pick them."
"So how do you manage to not squish the tiny buggers?"
"You pick them from the steam very carefully."
"How can you even see them with all those leaves in your way?" Caramel sighed as he continued to answer her questions.

In the sky, Rainbow Dash was practicing her aerial show that she was planning to put on then a new pegasus joined her. He was a very pale cornflower blue with a dark grayish phthalo blue mane and moderate green eyes, "Hey your pretty good."
"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! Your a wonderbolt!" Dash squealed as he chuckled, "Yeah names Soarin."
"Your the commander of the wonderbolts! What are you doing talking to me?!"
"I saw your slick moves and was hoping to see more." He said landing on a cloud, Dash tried to play it cool but inside she was bursting, "Oh sure, I am pretty awesome, you can watch me."

Dash was doing more stunts, until eventually Soarin joined her trying to copy her moves, "Hey not bad, but you have to practice these moves pretty hard to be as awesome as me."
"Maybe you can show me how to do the moves?" Dash nodded blushing as she slowly showed him how she did her stunts. Soarin copied her as best as he could, he was wobbly at first but eventually he managed to pull them off, "Hey maybe you should try this." Soarin said doing a stunt. "Like this?"
"Hey not bad, but you need to twist your body more to the left." Dash took his advice doing the stunt perfectly and Soarin clapped, "There you go, let's go over some more stunts. If you want that is." They both blushed as she nodded.

At the guard barracks Sunset Shimmer was going over details of where every guard had to be, what their patrols looked like, making sure no blind spots were anywhere, "And so we will use the towers, pegasi only, that way you could fly out the windows in case of emergencies." A brilliant gamboge pegasus with a two toned moderate sapphire blue mane and tail came forwards. He looked at the map of Canterlot with vivid cornflower blue eyes, "That makes sense, maybe we should move the red squad here and green squad here." He said moving colored pieces around, "Red is better at being in the front, green can use their magic from the back."

Sunset nodded, "Orange squad and blue squad should go here."
"Yellow and Purple squads should be here!" They said as the moved pieces around, "Pink squad needs to be here..."
"And brown squad needs to be here." They moved pieces around, they touched hooves, and blushed at each other, "I'm Sunset Shimmer."
"Flash Sentry." They looked at the colored pieces on the map, and smiled at each other. "I really think white squad should be here."
"Yes but they are made up mainly of fliers so they would be better here."
"How about black covering the back entrance?"
"That would be best. They are mainly made of unicorns and earth ponies."

Meanwhile Spike was bringing baskets of gems to Rarity who was working on the bridal attire for the bridesmaids, groomsmen, the bride and groom, "What do you think Spike, blue or yellow?"
"Why not use both? Make them look like the sky going day to night." Rarity hummed putting the fabric in a color gradient making it look like a blue sky, going to sunset, and finishing to midnight. "Why that's simply stunning, and these gems will make the colors pop!" Rarity said using her magic to pull all the gems to her and placing them on the outfits, "Yes they look perfect!" She hugged him, "I'm so glad your here to help me." He blushed as she moved on, "Now for the bride's dress..."

In the gardens Fluttershy was working with her animals. She was listening to her bird choir and when they were done she sang a chord herself and her birds copied her tone, "Ah my dear, you still have the most beautiful voice." Shy was spooked slightly by the voice so she turned and she saw a dark grayish reddish brown unicorn with a black and white mane, tail, and beard, his cutie mark was arrows that were pointing in eight directions. He looked at her with brilliant crimson eyes and brilliant yellow sclera. "I'm sorry who are you?"
"Right now I'm professor Chaos Theory." He said chuckling, his horn glowing a familiar light yellow white color, as he picked up an orange changed it to an apple and bit into it.

"Oh Discord is that you? You look so normal... I'm surprised you kept that up for so long."
"Oh I know this form is so plain and boring but I didn't want to scare everypony with my true form. They are still recovering from one super scary villian, they don't need to think another one has come to take her place." He said coming up to her, "But don't worry I'll be back to my normal chaotic self as soon as things calm down, but for now..." He made another orange appear turned it into an apple and presented it to Fluttershy, "Would you like to try an apple that was changed from an orange?" Shy took it then bit into it, "Tastes like a normal apple... I'm a bit disappointed." They both laughed.

Pinkie pie was working on setting up the reception area, well she called it the party area but who was she to argue over silly things like the name of an area. A light brilliant gamboge earth pony male came into the area, his poofy mane and tail was dark brown. "Hey this looks like fun!" Pinkie looked down and he looked back with his brilliant chartreuse green eyes. "Oh hey I know you!" She said jumping down, "Your Cheese Sandwich!" She said landing with a bounce. "You know what that means!"
"Extra chapter about the main characters finding their soul mates?"
"Yep wow you just totally read my mind!"

"Hey now that the author added me in this story and I read the script, I know I'm supposed to help you set up this party and as an official party planner we can kick this party up to the extreme!" They both pulled out party cannons then laughed as they bounced around the area setting everything up. "Hey do you think the audience will catch all the little references and funny moments the author left behind?"
"I don't know but I'm sure they are going back to previous chapters right now to find them."
"Yeah your totally right especially now that we told them about it."
"I love it when we break the fourth wall." They laughed continuing setting up the reception/party space.

Finally it was time for the wedding! The cutie mark Crusaders were the flower girls, as they were still young enough for that role. Spike was next carrying a pillow with the rings on it, then came the bridesmaids who were the main six and the groomsmen who were their new crushes. Chronos gasped as Twilight appeared, her wedding dress was a soft lavender color, bismuth gems accented the dress, their rainbow colors gently sparkling in the light. On her head was a new crown, and her magical mane and tail still flowed like a galaxy. Twi stood next to Chronos and whispered, "Your mouth is still open." He closed it, after remembering to breath he said, "Wow."

They both looked at Dutchess Cadance, the alicorn of love, "Ponies of Equestria, today we celebrate the union of Princess Twilight Sparkle and Prince Chronos who, after some turmoil, can finally be connected for life! Can I have the rings please?" Spike held up the pillow and Cadance's very light cornflower blue magic aura grabbed the rings off the pillow and put them on Twi's and Chronos' horns, "I pronounce you husband and wife! You may now kiss the bride." Both Twi and Chronos' kissed as their parents in the front row cried happily, the two happily waved to the crowd and eventually it was time for cake and dancing.

"Oh are you excited for the ending, I'm excited well not as excited when I went..." Pinkie gasped, "But really what could top that?"
"How about the most romantic ending ever!" Cheese said hugging her. "Hey you two stop staring at air and come join us for the couple dance!" They both winked at the people reading this story before joining the dancing, "Hey maybe if this story gets enough views and comments the author will write a sequel!"
"Oh it could be called Champions vs Changelings."
"What are you two going on about now?"
"Oh it's nothing you wouldn't understand."
"Yeah it's a fourth wall joke."
"Dear Lauren Faust there are two of them now!" The two laughed as the party went on through the night.
