Diamond Tiara a very harsh and ruthless bully is about to learn a lesson, when Fluttershy catches her bullying the crusaders something sparks in her, something telling she needs to stop her from bullying them before she goes to far.
Fluttershy, a kind hearted mare, is about to show Diamond Tiara the errors of her way, she is going show Tiara that sometimes being a bully isn't the best of idea's, this is going to be a hard and long journey to get her to act better, but to Fluttershy its worth it.
It was spring time in Ponyville. The sun was shining brightly and the birds were chirping, giving some tasty worms to their children, the flowers were blooming and the bees were gathering honey.
Fluttershy was out tending to her wonderful animals. The yellow mare had just struggled feeding angel after he tried to throw a carrot at her face, which she dodged.
“Now, Angel, you know you shouldn’t do that,” she said softly in a sweet tone. Once she finished feeding her animals she went into her cottage to get her grocery list. She was out of food and needed to do some major shopping. Picking it up in her hooves she put it in her saddlebag that she had just put on, and began walking out the door and into town. On her way there she walked passed Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow Dash saw Fluttershy and smiled “Hey, Flutters. Would you be able to come to my house later today and help me with tank? He's been chewing on my books for some odd reason”.
“Sure. If I got time I will,” she said, walking away. In the market area she was able to get some really good produce this time. She got top notch quality carrots, bird food and everything else her little critters would need.
Instead of going home first she wanted to go visit Twilight to see if there was anything she could help her alicorn friend with. She just wanted to be a nice friend.
Getting to the castle she knocked on the big doors, waiting patiently for somepony to answer. Hearing hoofsteps she backed away a little, hiding her face in her mane.
Opening the door Twilight smiled at Fluttershy. “Ah, nice to see you could make it. I was just about ready to put some books away in the library section of the castle. Maybe you could help me,” she said, stepping out of the way for Fluttershy to come in, which she did.
Fluttershy started putting the books away that Twilight gave her into the bookshelves. She enjoyed helping a friend. She’d do anything for her friends if she could.
When they finished Twilight thought it would be nice to have some tea so they drank it outside. Twilight had decided to ask Fluttershy some things.
“So how was flight camp for you as a filly?” she asked, a little curious. She didn’t know the full story on this. All she knew was that Fluttershy fell from Cloudsdale as a filly.
Fluttershy spit her tea out, surprised by the question. “What… you want to know how my life in cloudsdale was?” she asked. Twilight nodded.
“Well, my life there wasn’t a good one. I had no friends until I met Dash. I was bullied every single day. I still remember the chant those mean bullies did. It was the most horrible thing in my life. I never want anypony else to experience what I did” she said, starting to cry a little.
Twilight put her tea down and gave Fluttershy a warm hug. “Sorry I even asked, but I take it that Rainbow Dash saved you when things got… out of hoof,” she said, smiling at Fluttershy. The yellow mare was truly a good friend. A nice friend at that. She couldn’t understand how anypony could be mean to her.
Fluttershy nodded. “Yeah…shes a great friend. Standing up to bullies for somepony as weak as me. Heh! She truly was loyal even as a filly,” she said, smiling.
Finishing the tea Fluttershy sighed, “If anypony else is being bullied I… I don’t know what I’d do, but so far it seems everypony is nice to each other,” she said, putting the tea cup down then bowing to Twilight respectfully. Once finished she left back to her home. She knew that Angel would be mad at her if she came home late and she did want him to be upset.
The sun slowly started to come down as it was starting to get dark. Fluttershy couldn’t believe she was out for that long. It seemed like she was only away for an hour but maybe it was longer. She shrugged it off and continued walking home. However she heard somepony talking on the road home.
When she was in view of the voice she heard she saw Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, and Apple Bloom talking to some filles. The ponies they were speaking with was Diamond Tiara and her trusty sidekick Silver Spoon, “Aw, they must be playing tag,” Fluttershy said, but she decided to keep an eye on them and stay hiding in the bush. She couldn’t put her hoof on it, but something seemed off about the pink filly with the Tiara.
The pink filly snorted at the crusaders. “Ah, it's good to be a princess and have a talent, wouldn’t you say so, Spoon?” Silver Spoon nodded to her friend. “I mean, look at you crusaders. Blank flanks? Thats like, so last year. When will you ever get your cutie marks?” she asked, not even caring about their feelings, laughing a little, as did her friend.
Apple Bloom got up, wiping some of the dirt off of herself and helping her friends up. They had just tried to get their cutie marks in being sap gatherers but didn’t go as planned and they ended up getting some sap all over themselves, Apple Bloom glared at the rich fillies.
“We’ll get our cutie marks soon, and it will be way better than your stupid ones” Scootaloo said, furious, hovering for a few second before coming back down.
Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon were taken aback by this, but Tiara smiled evilly toward Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle. Since bullying them for their cutie marks wasn’t working maybe she could change it to something that would break them.
“Well, you know its too bad you can’t fly, Scootaloo. I mean, just look at you: a pegasus that can’t fly, or maybe I should say a chicken When are you going to put those baby wings away and get your big girl wings?” she said hurtfully, and turned to Sweetie belle. Scootaloo’s ears drooped, hearing that.
Fluttershy’s body tensed a little hearing that. “Heh. Maybe… she’s just messing around,” she said, trying to come up with an excuse. She kept hidden just in case. If she had to jump in she would.
“And you, Sweetie Belle... you're even worst then Scootaloser. You can’t even use your magic. No wonder why your sister can’t stand you. I bet Rainbow Dash and Rarity would be better off without you two, you're so worthless” she said. Fluttershy finally had enough and marched over to the pink filly.
reaching a hoof towards Tiara she poked her in the sides, to get her attention, “How dare she say that to them. They can’t help it if they’re late bloomers like I was as a filly, and how dare she say they're worthless.” she thought. She wasn’t angry but she wanted to put an end to it.
Diamond Tiara’s pupils shrank seeing Fluttershy in front of her, but then remembered its just the mare who can’t do anything to stop her, “What do you want?” she asked in a bored voice.
“HOW DARE YOU! I never thought anypony could be as mean as you are, but this is the most harsh thing anypony could say. Now you are going to march home and tell your father what you did?” she asked, glaring at Diamond Tiara.
Diamond Tiara remembered a taunt that Fluttershy hated “Fluttershy… Fluttershy can hardly fly,” she taunted, not realizing she was digging her own grave.
Ordinarily the reminded or her past bullying would have gotten her upset, but she was doing this for someone else so it only made her mad. Fluttershy took a deep breath and gave Diamond Tiara the stare. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon’s laughter immediately stopped. The two of them began to tremble, unable to turn their eyes away. By the time she was finished Diamond Tiara looked like she was about to cry, “Now stand right there. I’ll take you home myself.”
In the most genuine and polite tone she had ever used she quickly said, “Yes, Fluttershy.”
Fluttershy walked passed Diamond Tiara and gave the three crusaders a big hug “I hope she didn’t hurt your feelings too much, but don’t worry. I got a plan on how I can fix her,” she said smiling.
The crusaders nodded and went on their merry way. Seeing their two bratty bullies scared out of their minds brought them great joy.
Silver Spoon was about to leave but Fluttershy told her to come with her to Tiara’s mansion. Silver Spoon was too scared to disobey.
Upon reaching Tiara’s mansion Fluttershy knocked on the door and put Tiara in from of the door “Now you tell him the truth or I’m sure Silver Spoon wouldn’t mind doing it for you,” she said in a firm voice. “And if Silver Spoon doesn’t want to fess up she can get a stare just for her.”
Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon both gulped. The door opened, revealing a brown stallion with a bag of money for a cutie mark, “Ah, my wonderful pride and joy, Why are you home so soon? Shouldn’t you be playing with those friends of your, the Cutie Mark Crusaders?” he asked, unaware of the situation.
Diamond Tiara gulped again. She knew either way if she lied she would either get the stare and knowing Silver Spoon she would tell the truth. She was totally trapped. Ordinarily she would be mad, but she was too wary of getting the stare again to risk mouthing off.
“No, daddy. I, uh, got something to… to tell you” she said as she began her story on how she treated the crusaders. She kept shooting nervous glances at Fluttershy every time she got the urge to lie or to minimize what she had done. Her father was very disappointed in her but he and Fluttershy talked and Shy came up with a great punishment for her.
“Ok, Diamond Tiara. Me and Fluttershy have decided on your punishment. I love you, princess, but you need to learn that bullying is bad. So starting now you will be living with Fluttershy until you can behave like a good filly.” He sighed. It pained him to do this to his pride and joy, but it also made him feel pain that he was never there to stop this. He had picked Fluttershy because she had shown a great skill in reforming others, just like she did with Discord.
“WHAT!” she yelled. “You can’t do this to me! Leaving me with this stupid animal caretaker!”
Silver Spoon backed away. She was lucky that she didn’t have to be reformed “Tiara, I, uh, I have to agree with them. I only wanted to be your friend to get popular but…you're nothing but a stubborn brat,” she said, trotting away back to her own home.
“YOU TRAITOR! Fine! Go. Leave. I don’t care. I got more and better friends than you,” she lied. She truly only had Silver Spoon but she never told anypony that.
Fluttershy and Diamond Tiara began walking to her home. This was going to be one tough challenge for the yellow mare.
“How could daddy do this to me?” Diamond Tiara thought. “How could he leave me alone with this mare? I didn’t do anything to deserve this. I mean, I’m his little princess and he goes off on his merry way and makes me stay with her. Well, then. I’ll give her a very hard time. She will see that she can’t make me do anything.”
They reached Fluttershy’s house. The place looked like a dump to Tiara. She was only looking at it from the outside but still she didn’t care. She needed a place worthy of her perfection, and this little house of hers would not work for her style.
Fluttershy saw Rainbow Dash laying down on her doorstep with Tank. Fluttershy had forgotten she had to see him. She motioned for Diamond Tiara to follow and she did with a huff.
Rainbow Dash looked at Fluttershy, a little furious. “Where the heck were you? You were supposed to come get Tank like an hour ago,” she said, not even noticing Tiara yet.
“Eek,” she squeaked out, frightened. “I’m sorry, Dash, but I was busy. I had something more important to deal with,”she said, looking down to Tiara and giving her a small smile. The filly only stuck her tongue out at her.
“Why did you bring her? Isn’t she that Rich ponies, uh, daughter?” Rainbow asked, unsure. She wanted to know why Fluttershy even had that filly with her. She had heard rumors that that filly was a trouble maker.
Diamond Tiara shrugged, pawing at the dirt while the adult ponies talked about their business. “This will totally be a lame week, spending time with her, I mean, she’s so lame.”
“W-Well... you see... I’m looking after her for a while,” Fluttershy replied, hiding her face in her mane. She heard what Tiara said but it didn’t bother her much. She was just a lost soul who didn’t know right from wrong.
“For bits or is it something else?” she asked, winking at Fluttershy. The athletic pony flew in the air for a bit as she waited for an answer.
“Ok, I’ll tell you. Just please,please don’t get mad, I know you too well, Dashie,” she said. Dash did a little Pinkie promise. You never break a Pinkie promise or bad things happen.
Taking a deeper breath Fluttershy began to explain what she caught Tiara saying to the crusaders. Fluttershy told her that she was going to reform Tiara no matter how long it took.
Hearing that made Rainbow Dash angry. “WHAT! She’s the reason Scootaloo got all sad. Why that little-” Rainbow Dash said, as she walked over to Tiara, glaring at her. She wanted to hit the little brat but knew she couldn’t. It was against the law so she turned to Fluttershy, a little calmed down.
“Do you really think you can reform this...this BRAT?” she asked in disgust, after hearing that it was Tiara’s fault for making Scoots believe she wouldn’t fly, Dash couldn’t help but hate her. Tiara stuck her tongue out at the blue mare and Rainbow Dash stuck hers at Tiara.
Fluttershy simply smiled and looked down at Tiara, brushing her purple mane with a hoof. Tiara smacked the hoof away “Did I say you could touch me? No, I didn’t so you have better not do it again,” she fumed.
Fluttershy sighed and looked at Rainbow Dash “Yes, I think I can. It will just take some time. I got so much stuff planned for the two of us and I bet in due time she will be cured,” she said, smiling at Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow dash still couldn’t believe Fluttershy would do this, but then again this was Fluttershy, the same pony who got Discord to quit using his chaos for bad and was now living happily in Canterlot somewhere. “Ok, Flutters. I trust that you can fix this brat but if she dares hit you or treat you badly,” she smiled as she continued, “tell me and I’ll be sure to see if there’s any room in Tartarus for her. I’m sure she’d enjoy it there,” she joked to try to get Tiara scared.
“Ha! You thank you scare me. I could just pay them money to let me out of that place. No big deal. I am, after all, rich and money buys EVERYTHING!” she said with pride.
Rainbow Dash face hoofed. Talking to that brat was a waste of her time and patience so she dropped it and gave Shy a hoof bump before walking away with Tank.
Fluttershy waved goodbye to Rainbow Dash and looked down at Diamond Tiara “Well… let’s go sweetie.” Fluttershy walked to the door of her cottage and opened it and excitedly said, “Welcome to your new home, at least for a while. Oh, I bet you and Angel will get along great!” she squeed.
Diamond Tiara rolled her eyes, “Ok, fine. Let’s just get this over with,” she said, irritated. This week was going to be very lame, especially since she had to spend the time she should be asserting her superiority over the lesser ponies with Fluttershy.
As she entered the cottage she put her hooves over her mouth “EWW! Do you really expect me to live in this messy home? PUH-LEASE tell me you have a butler at the very least?”she asked. Just looking at it made her disgusted.
Fluttershy blew her mane out of her eyes. “No, I don’t have a butler, but if I’m going to teach you some manners you're going to have to get your own things. If you're thirsty you will get it yourself. Your father can’t always be babying you, now can he?” she asked in a soft tone.
“Ba-babying me? Hey, I am not being babied around. I just get respected because I’m better than everypony, I am practically a princess” she said, pointing to her crown. Fuming, she went into Fluttershy;’s kitchen to get something to drink, She was hoping for some better drinks but all she saw was water or tea, “Hey, what gives? Where's the soda? Where's the good drinks?” she asked, just as Fluttershy came in along with Angel.
“Oh, don’t be silly. Water and tea are good drinks, and besides soda can rot your teeth. I didn’t even know you liked soda, but I’ll tell you what. If you do good and don’t be mean I’ll get you some soda as a reward, ok?” she said, setting some cups down and making tea for her and Tiara.
Diamond Tiara sighed. Her attempts to get out of the cottage weren’t really working too good so she accepted her fate for now. “Fine! Just give me something to drink”.
Once the tea was finished she brought it to the table and put one on the side next to her for Diamond Tiara, “Now listen. Once you finish that its time for bed then tomorrow we can do some fun things,” she said taking a sip of her warm tea.
Diamond Tiara growled. Going to bed early? What was she... a two year old foal? She took a small sip of her tea. “Huh. This isn’t half bad, whatever kinda tea it is.” Diamond Tiara’s face softened a bit, genuinely surprised there was something good she hadn’t been exposed to yet. “ I've never had it before,” she explained, drinking the rest.
Fluttershy smiled. “M-maybe this will be easy. Maybe she will be good. I’m sure she can’t be as hard as Discord was,” she said to herself, giggling at the memory, Fluttershy soon finished and so did Diamond tiara.
Fluttershy guided Tiara to the upstairs room. The same one she let the crusaders sleep at. She made a mental note not to tell the filly that. It would only cause issues.
When Diamond Tiara saw the room she thought it looked okay. It wasn’t as great as her room in her mansion but it was something. “Well...it doesn’t look that bad,” she said, getting on the bed covering herself up.
Fluttershy smiled at her. “Would you like me to read you a bedtime story?” she asked. As an animal and foal caretaker she knew all fillies enjoy a story from time to time.
Just like that Diamond’s reluctant acceptance faded. “Do I look like I’m some foal? I haven't been given a bedtime story since I was like…. four, so no thanks,” She waved a hoof, telling Fluttershy to get lost.
Fluttershy’s smile faded to a saddened look. “Oh...uh, okay then. I’ll just be downstairs if you need me.” With that she put the book down and walked out the room leaving Diamond Tiara alone.
Rolling over side to side. trying to get comfortable but to no avail, she just stared at the ceiling for hours and when midnight came she got really annoyed. “UGH! WHY CAN’T I GET ANY SLEEP!” she shouted.
The door slammed opened as Fluttershy ran to Tiara and held her close. “Oh my goodness. Are you okay? I heard shouting and thought you were in danger. Did you have a bad dream?” she asked, holding an irritated Diamond Tiara close.
Diamond Tiara hissed at Fluttershy, “Don’t touch me! I… I just can’t get any sleep, okay?” she said.
Fluttershy simply smiled “Oh, I get it. You're so used to your own bed that you can’t sleep in this new one well. I got an idea. How would you like it if I slept with you? I’m sure you'd get some sleep then,” she said, rubbing Diamond Tiara softly on the back.
Diamond Tiara would normally yell something back but due to being too tired she just sighed and layed back on her pillow “Whatever. Just don’t touch me again.” She rolled over.
Fluttershy simply nodded and laid down next to Tiara, but still giving her some space.
The night went by nicely for Diamond Tiara. It seemed sleeping with another pony sure helped her sleep. When she woke up she saw she was hugging Fluttershy. Pulling away she spat out,“Ugh! Ew! Why did I touch that stupid mare?” She walked downstairs just as Fluttershy began waking up.
Fluttershy started to panic. She saw Diamond Tiara was nowhere near her. “Oh, no. Oh, no! This isn’t good. Oh, the poor dear could be scared.” She gasped. “What if she is in the Everfree forest?” Terrible thoughts of what the pink filly could be experiencing came to her. She felt someone touch her on her leg.
“What are you doing?” Diamond Tiara asked, not amused by Fluttershy’s reaction to the smallest of things.
Fluttershy picked Diamond Tiara up and hugged her. “Oh, I’m so happy your safe! From now on you tell me when you wake up, understand?”
“Ugh. Fine. Whatever,” Diamond Tiara said, pulling away from the mare.
Fluttershy made them the usual: a daisy sandwich. Fluttershy and Tiara finished soon after ten minutes. Walking outside with a bag of bird food on her back she gave it to Tiara.
“The first step of my lessons is being generous. Feed those birds over there and return to me when you're finished and I’ll tell you how you did. And after that we get to go to Applejacks farm,” she said, smiling as Tiara ran off to the birds in the tree slowly.
Diamond Tiara walked over to the blue birds which were on the tree. She got some of the bird food out of the bag and threw it at the tree, “Eat it you dumb birds,” she said. If she had been in charge she would have made the birds pay her for the food, however she couldn’t because of Fluttershy, but even so an idea came to her. Fluttershy said they were going to Applejack’s farm, maybe she could make Applebloom suffer while she was there.
Finishing up her assigned chore she went to feed the other birds, frowning all the while. “Do this Diamond Tiara, do that Diamond Tiara, jeez, I wish mommy was still living with us. I don’t understand why daddy and mommy had to get a divorce,” she said out loud not realizing Fluttershy was standing behind her.
Tears built up in Tiara’s eyes. “Mommy was always there for me when I needed her while daddy was off on his business.” She started to sob, “Why...Why couldn’t she of stayed? Daddy’s always at work, it makes things lonely at home,” she finished and put her hoof on her eyes to try and wipe the tears away.
Still unbeknownst to the pink filly, Fluttershy was behind her. She wanted to just give the crying filly a big hug, but decided that it might be best to wait and talk about it tonight. Fluttershy walked back to the entrance of the cottage and waited patiently for Tiara to come back.
Diamond Tiara finished her crying and wiped away the tears. She couldn’t quite understand why she started crying all of the sudden, but she just shrugged and let it go. She made her way to Fluttershy and handed her the bag of bird food.
Fluttershy smiled and took the bag of bird feed in her hoof then put it on the ground next to her cottage. “Now before we go I want to show you how to feed my little Angel Bunny.”
The pair entered the cottage to find Angel Bunny taping his little feet, waiting impatiently for his food. When he saw Fluttershy walk in he glared at her giving her a look that could only mean “Where's my food?”
Fluttershy went into the kitchen and got some carrots for her bunny. She walked over to him and gave him the three carrots. Almost immediately two of them hit her in the face, and the third one missed her. Diamond Tiara giggled “That bunny sure hates you. I like him” she said.
Fluttershy ignored what Diamond Tiara said and just walked away “I’ll just feed you later then Angel.” She walked away and went outside waiting for Tiara to join her.
Diamond Tiara smiled at Angel. “Nice job bunny. You like to bully her as much as I like to bully those stupid crusaders,” she said as she patted Angel on his head and went outside to join Fluttershy.
Fluttershy smiled down at Diamond Tiara. “Ready to go to Applejacks, place?” she asked. In response she only received a nod and with that they walked off.
As they walked Diamond Tiara smiled an evil smile, she was going to get to to tell Apple Bloom how worthless she was, and it always made her happy to see her enemy suffer.
Soon the two arrived at sweet Apple Acres. Before Fluttershy knocked on the door she turned to Diamond Tiara, “I want you to promise me you won’t do anything mean while we’re here….please” she said.
“Don’t worry, I feel like a nicer pony already. Me and the blank f-er Apple Bloom will play some type of game,” she lied. Of course Fluttershy believed her.
Fluttershy knocked on the door and within seconds Applejack answered the door and smiled at Fluttershy.
Diamond Tiara walked passed Fluttershy and rudely pushed Applejack out of the way. “Hey that’s not very nice. Apologizes right now missy!” Fluttershy said in a more stern tone.
Diamond Tiara pouted, “Ok fine… sorry that you got in my way… happy?” she said annoyed, and walked off to Apple Bloom’s room. She had big plans for her.
Fluttershy helped Applejack up and wiped the dust off of her friends body. “I’m so sorry she did that. I’m still trying to teach her how to be nice. If she does something else I might just have to take away that Tiara of hers for a while. Maybe that will teach her some discipline,” she said as Applejack got up.
“Aw don’t worry about it none, Twilight told me you were looking after her. So how’s things been with you and her?” Applejack asked.
“Twilight told you? but I didn’t even tell her, unless Rainbow Dash told her yesterday… anyway things are going… nicely. I think by next week she’ll be a better pony. I might even know why she acts the way she does” she said smiling and getting out some daisy sandwiches from her saddlebag, giving them to Applejack.
“Oh really?” Applejack asked. If Fluttershy knew something, that could make things alot easier for her.
“I overheard her talking to herself when I made her feed the birds and well apparently her parents got a divorce. I think the reason she’s mean is because she’s lonely at home. She probably bullies other fillies because she misses her mother,” she explained, leaving Applejack surprised.
“Ya really think that’s the reason?” Fluttershy simply noded and Applejack shrugged. “As long as she and the crusaders start being nice to one another, I’ll be happy” the cow pony said as the two mares headed upstairs to check on the little filles.

Diamond Tiara was in Apple Bloom’s room looking at all the crap she had. However one object got her attention; it was a picture of what looked like Apple Bloom’s parents. Smirking she turned to Apple Bloom. “So blank flank where are your parents? Did they leave you because you're worthless?” she asked.
Apple Bloom hated being called worthless, in some ways it was the worst thing you could call a farm girl. “My ma and Pa aren’t in this world no more. They died when I was just a foal, ok” she said, feeling a little sad about those memories.
Diamond Tiara threw the picture of Apple Bloom’s parents on the floor and stomped on it with her hoof, breaking the glass. “Woopsie my bad, I’m so clumsy sometime hehe.” Deep Down Diamond Tiara knew what she did was wrong, but she just couldn’t pass up an opportunity to make Apple Bloom feel sad.
“STOP THAT! APPLEJACK I NEED YOU!” Apple Bloom shouted to get her big sisters attention. Within a few seconds the doors were swung open by an enraged Applejack and a shy mare.
Fluttershy saw the picture under Tiara’s hoof. “What happened? Why is that picture on the floor?” she asked. Tears started to build up, if Diamond Tiara lied to her about being nice she would feel heartbroken.
“What? I accidently dropped it, thanks to blank flank,” she said glaring at Apple Bloom.
Applejack wasn’t buying it. She could tell that Diamond Tiara was lying. “Tell the truth...NOW!” she said, still a little calm.
Diamond Tiara pouted “Fine I broke it. But what do I care she's worthless anyways, just like her little friends,” she said. Something inside her made her feel a bit sad, she couldn’t understand what made her feel that way though.
Fluttershy knew she had to discipline her, and there were only two ways she could. She flew over Diamond Tiara, and took the tiara off her head. “I’m sorry but until I see some improvement you won’t be getting this back,” she said as she put the tiara in her saddlebag.
“Hey give that back, it's mine,” she ordered.
Fluttershy shook her head, not amused about this whole thing. “Sorry, but until you act like a good little filly you won’t see this. Also if it’s ok with Applejack you will be helping her and Apple Bloom around the farm,” she said leaving Diamond Tiara dumbfounded.
Diamond Tiara wanted to just yell at Fluttershy, but by now she knew nothing would work on the yellow pegasus. She started to cry a little. “Fine I’ll help these stupid farmers get their stupid apples,” she said sticking a tongue out at Apple Bloom.
Soon Applejack was outside with Diamond Tiara teaching her how to buck the apple trees, though it was harder to teach a rich pony like Tiara then she imagined it would be. After all a rich pony usually had other ponies to do her work fro her.
After teaching Diamond Tiara she left her alone bucking trees with Fluttershy keeping a good eye on her. After about five hours of bucking she managed to only get ten apples down and she was sweating a lot.
“Are...Are we done yet please I wanna go home,”she said.
Fluttershy sighed. “Ok we’ll go home. Just tell Apple Bloom you're sorry,” she said in a motherly tone.
Diamond Tiara didn’t fight it this time. She went over to Apple bloom who was sitting on the ground by her house.“ Listen blank- or Apple Bloom, I’m sorry,” she said truthfully as she wanted to go home and rest. Apple Bloom felt stunned by this “Uh, thanks Tiara..”
After apologizing Fluttershy put Diamond Tiara on her back and allowed the small filly to rest.Oh my this is going very well, I feel so much change in Tiara, I’ll give her about a week before I decide shes truly changed then I can put her up to the test, she thought while smiling.
Fluttershy arrived home and put Diamond Tiara on the couch. Waiting for the filly to wake up from her nap, Fluttershy walked into the kitchen and made some tea. Several minutes later she walked out and saw Tiara had woken up.
Taking a sip from her tea she placed it down on the tray, “Did somepony have a nice nap?” she asked. Diamond Tiara noded, still a little sleepy. The day had gone by so fast it was now practically night.
“Diamond Tiara, I saw you crying earlier you mentioned something about your mom and something about divorce. What happened?” Fluttershy asked.
Diamond Tiara looked at Fluttershy. She couldn’t believe she had heard her, but she didn’t bother fighting it. She started to tell Fluttershy the story about her mom and how her mom was alway there for her when her daddy was busy.
After Diamond Tiara finished the long story she sobbed into Fluttershy’s chest. “I...I miss my mommy ok? It’s the reason I bully. I’m always….lonely,” she said burying her head into Fluttershy’s chest.
Fluttershy felt sorry for her and carried Diamond upstairs. She placed her in bed and got on the bed with her, it was strange but Diamond Tiara didn’t want to let go of Fluttershy.
Fluttershy stroked Tiara’s mane. “Listen little filly I know what it’s like to lose a mother. I lost both of my parents when I got my cutie mark….they disowned me. They didn’t want a pathetic flyer like me as a daughter,” she said, tears coming down her face. The memories hurt.
Diamond Tiara now felt sorry for Fluttershy, it also made her feel sorry for bullying, something inside her felt like she was changing. “I’m so sorry to hear that,” she said hugging Fluttershy.
Fluttershy simply smiled “It's ok, I’ve got my friends, the crusaders and, even you. You're all like my family”.
Diamond Tiara blushed. “You really consider me a friend? Even after how I've treated everypony?” she asked shocked.
“It doesn’t matter how you've treated us. Everypony makes mistakes. You’ve made some big ones, but that doesn’t mean you’re hopeless. Just try and be a good pony please” Fluttershy said.
Diamond Tiara only noded and tried to get some sleep.
About a week had passed since Diamond Tiara had started being reformed by Fluttershy, and things were going by smoothly. Diamond Tiara had gotten better at doing her job and she had gotten a lot nicer around Fluttershy. But today was going to be different, she was going to hang out with the Crusaders as her final test. This was her final chance to see if she was truly reformed.
Diamond Tiara swished her tail as she cleaned up dust in the house with a broom. She had gotten used to getting messy, she had fallen into mud yesterday but she didn’t get mad, it actually made her laugh. Soon she finished cleaning the house.
“Ah, perfect,” she said putting the broom down. She went into the kitchen and got a kettle of water and waited until it was boiling to turn the stove off, she then put the water in two separate cups.
Fluttershy walked down the stairs and smiled at Tiara. Today was also the day she would get her tiara back but Fluttershy wanted to wait till they drank their morning tea.
“Good morning,” Diamond Tiara said happily as she waited for Fluttershy to take a sip of her tea.
Fluttershy smiled “Goodmorning, I do hope you're ready, because today you will be hanging out with the Crusaders, it is a school day after all,” she took a sip of her tea and gulped it down, “This is really good, what kind of tea is it?”
Diamond Tiara smiled brightly, “It's green tea silly,” she said as she finished her own cup.
Soon Fluttershy finished her tea and this time she made Tiara some special chocolate pancakes. The pink filly thanked Fluttershy and ate fast, getting syrup all over her mouth.
Fluttershy let out a soft giggle. “You're a messy eater aren't you?” she said softly as she got a napkin and started cleaning Diamond Tiara, after getting the sticky syrup off her she gave Diamond Tiara a hug.
“Are you ready for today? You'll be hanging out with the Crusaders most of the day, and I just want to make sure you're ready,” Fluttershy said walking over to her saddlebag and putting it on.
“Don’t worry miss Fluttershy I’m ready. I've handled a lot of hard work this week, I think I can handle those Crusaders. I just hope I can at least make things up between me and Silver Spoon,” she said remembering the events that happened a week ago.
Fluttershy smiled “Good, oh and you don’t have to call me miss you could just call me Fluttershy, um that is if you want to.”
Diamond Tiara simply noded.
Diamond Tiara brought her place over to the sink and turned around “May I do the dishes Fluttershy?” she asked politely.
Fluttershy shook her head, “No thanks sweetie, you've helped me so much this past week and that's all I could ever ask for,” she said softly as she motioned for Diamond Tiara to follow her.
Diamond Tiara followed Fluttershy out “Would you like me to feed the birds?” she asked, eager to do something nice for Fluttershy.
“No thanks. I already took care of that while you were asleep. For now just focus on your time with the Crusaders,” she said patting Diamond Tiara on the back.
Diamond Tiara mumbled under her breath. “I just wanted to do something helpful.” She was then brought into a tender loving hug.
“Aww its ok ,you have been helpful all week. How about this if you are good I’ll let you cook supper for us tonight,” Fluttershy said.
As the two made it to the school Diamond Tiara began shaking when she saw the Crusaders playing four square.
“Ar-Are you sure I’m ready?” I mean I don’t think I can handle it,” she said sitting down on her rump.
“I know you are ready. You have proven that to me this week and I have faith in you,” Fluttershy said giving Tiara a kiss on the head. “Now go on.”She pushed Diamond Tiara forward a little.
Gulping Diamond Tiara walked forward. “Um hi Apple Bloom Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo, I-” she got interrupted.
“What do you want? Don’t you have ponies to bully? Or are you here to make fun of my flight or the fact that Sweetie can’t use magic?” Scootaloo said with a small bit of anger.
“If you just le-” again she was interrupted, this time by Sweetie belle.
“You can’t just say that Scootaloo, I mean she has been with Fluttershy this whole time, maybe shes actually learned a lesson… I say she should be given a chance,” Sweetie said warmly.
Diamond Tiara was about to say something but Apple Bloom spoke before her. This is really annoying me she thought.
“Maybe y’all should just let her speak first? she said.
“Look if there is any way I can prove I’ve changed I’ll do it,” she said honestly.
Scootaloo smiled with an evil grin, “You want to prove you changed? You will do two things; hang out with us all day and smash your tiara,” Scootaloo said knowing full well Diamond would never do such a thing.
Diamond Tiara was in shock at hearing this but she simply noded. “Ok bring me a hammer and I’ll do it,” she said. Scootaloo looked at her with a strange look, truthfully she was only joking.
“Awh you don’t have to smash it, I was just joking,” she said.
The three ponies decided to walk back in but before they did Diamond Tiara stopped right by the school trash can and threw her tiara inside. “I don’t need that dumb thing,” she said softly.
When she caught up, the Crusaders were a little surprised by what she just did, but they said nothing and continued walking back inside. When they got in they each sat in their own seats, this time however Diamond Tiara sat next to the Crusaders in the back, she also noticed Silver Spoon, she wanted to talk with her later.
When Cheerilee walked in she informed everypony that Diamond Tiara had been reformed by Fluttershy. She herself was informed of this news by Fluttershy and thought it be nice for the school to know this. After she finished telling them she moved on to teach the class.
During school Diamond Tiara treated everypony with respect, even the Crusaders, but now she had to spend the rest of the day helping them with getting cutie marks.
Once they left the school, Scootaloo had an idea to get one, but it was a dangerous one, one that Scootaloo knows Diamond Tiara wouldn’t agree with.
“You want to do what?” she asked as they were standing on top of a tree about a few meters from the ground not that high but it was pretty tall.
Scootaloo nods, “Yup we are going to try and land in that lake over there,” she said pointing to it. It wasn't too far, but there was one problem; there was mud next to the lake so if they missed they would land right in the mud.
“Now jump,” she said, even though the Crusaders had no idea what type of cutie mark they might get from this.
When they jumped Diamond Tiara was just stuck in place not moving. She had two choices; jump and get dirt in her mane or jump and get wet, both sounded bad.
Gulping Diamond Tiara jumped. She landed one inch from the lake and fell right in the mud. “Eww I got it in my mane,” she said trying to get it out but there was too much.
“Uh if you don’t mind me asking, what kinda cutie mark were we even trying to get Scootaloo?” Sweetie Belle asked a little concerned.
Scootaloo put on a weak smile, “Well…. to be honest this really wasn’t to earn a cutie mark… I just wanted to test Diamond Tiara and see if she would snap,” Scootaloo said blushing a little.
“Scootaloo, you of all ponies still don’t trust her? Why?” Sweetie asked.
“I just can’t trust her after she made fun of my wings,” she said.
Sweetie softly sighed “Scootaloo she's been nice to us all day just forgive her already. Now go over there and apologize,” she said giving Scootaloo a disappointed look.
Scootaloo realised her mistake and thought about it. She really did do the wrong thing here, walking over to Diamond Tiara she helped her out of the mud.
“Uh I’m sorry about what I did,” Scootaloo said. Diamond Tiara only glared at her but didn’t get mad instead she said, “Hay what's that,” she said pointing behind Scootaloo.
Scootaloo fell for the trick and got pushed into the mud herself “Ok, I deserved that,” she said knowing full well this was a worthy punishment for her own action
The fillies couldn’t help but giggle at this, as they got up they decided to clean off by jumping into the lake, it was after all the easiest way to get all that mud off.
As the day finished it was time to leave, Diamond Tiara managed to do a lot with those filles.
She went kiting, they went to sugarcube corner and a few other places that were rather enjoyable.
Diamond Tiara walked over to the Crusaders and hugged them, “Thank you for the wonderful day, does this mean were friends? Do you girls finally forgive me?” she asked.
The Crusaders noded and hugged back.
Diamond Tiara waved goodbye to her new friends as she did Fluttershy came up to her smiling excitedly.
“I take it you had a wonderful day with your….new friends?” Fluttershy asked, curiously, and hoping that everything she did helped Diamond Tiara see what she had done was wrong.
Diamond Tiara walked over and hugged Fluttershy. “Yes Miss Fluttershy I did, I truly did. I now know I should never bully others, just because they are poor or have a disability.”
“Good, I’m so happy you learned your lesson. Now what do you say we get you home?” she asked.
“Yes Miss Fluttershy” she said obediently.
As they approached Diamond Tiara’s house, she thought of her friend Silver Spoon.
“Wait, before we go, can I go see Silver Spoon? I’d like to apologize to her,” Diamond Tiara said.
Fluttershy smiled, “Of course go right ahead,” she said as Diamond Tiara walked away. Luckily Silver Spoon’s house was right next door. When Diamond Tiara gotta Silver Spoon’s house she was on her door steps, it seemed as if she had been watching this whole time.
“Hi Silver Spoon,” she started. Silver Spoon didn’t pay much attention to her old friend. Diamond Tiara continued, “I just wanted to tell you… I’m sorry for how I've treated you all these years and that I forced you to bully others,” she said truthfully.
Silver Spoon could tell Diamond Tiara was actually sorry. “I…. I guess I’ll forgive you, just don’t screw things up, ok?” Diamond Tiara gave Silver Spoon a big hug.
“I’ll be honest, I've missed you a lot,” she said releasing herself from the hug and walking into her mansion, “Well… I’ll see ya tomorrow, best friend.”
Diamond Tiara returned to Fluttershy and they walked back to her mansion.
Knocking on the door, they waited for Filthy Rich to answer, and he soon came.
“Greetings Fluttershy, and hello Diamond Tiara. Might I ask if you have you learned your lesson?”
Diamond Tiara noded. “Yes daddy, I did.” she walked over and hugged her father and waved bye to Fluttershy.
“Thank you for all the help,” Filthy Rich said.
Finally seeing that she managed to take a small mean filly and turn her into a nice loving filly, made Fluttershy smile with pride. She walked back to her cottage, her job was now finished.
