It's been about eight years since Phoenix proved Rainbow Dash's innocence. And a lot has happened during that time. Not just for Phoenix, but for the Ponies as well.
Eight years has passed since the famous Phoenix Wright, cleared the name of the Pegasus Pony Rainbow Dash After being forced into Equestria... and gained nothing but old evidence, an embarrassing picture, and less respect from his friends... so much for that new sports car. Nevertheless, A lot has happened in those eight years, and Phoenix has made new friends on the way.
“Ughhhhh…” Phoenix let out a groan, just starting to recover from his bizarre experience.
“Hey! Who the heck are YOU?!” an unfamiliar female voice broke the silence, ignoring his moan of pain.
Whose voice is that? he wondered to himself, still unable to see.
“For that matter… WHAT the heck are you?” the voice added.
What am I? What kind of question is that? Does she mean my profession? he thought, more confused than ever.
“I wanted the best attorney in Equestria, not some… porcupine thing!”
Despite his disorientation, the defense attorney couldn’t help but grumble over the insult to his spiky hair. Does my hair REALLY look like a porcupine…? he silently groused, realizing he could move again. My muscles are coming to; I think I can open my eyes… Phoenix slowly did so, only to be greeted by a much different place than his own office.
He was in a wide, multi-level room that looked like it had been hollowed out of the interior of a large tree. The space—a library?—was lined with well-stocked bookshelves seemingly carved directly out of the trunk; on the far end of the room was a loft with a bed small enough to fit a child. “Huh? Where am I?” he asked, not recognizing his surroundings. Suddenly, a small purple horse with a darker-striped mane and a single spiral horn on its forehead entered his view.
“Hey… you’re a human, aren’t you?” the equine asked in the same unfamiliar voice as before, studying him closely.
“Y-yeah, I’m a human…” he confirmed to the talking horse in front of him… at which moment his common sense finally kicked in. “WAIT! WHAT?!”
“A human in Equestria, that’s amazing!” the small horse said, delighted and intrigued.
Phoenix gaped. “Y-YOU’RE A TALKING HORSE!!” he blurted out, completely unable to accept what lay before his eyes.
“Excuse me! I am not a horse, I happen to be a pony,” the equine corrected him with a slightly offended air.
“Oh! Okay! A talking PONY! That explains everything!” Phoenix retorted, still freaked out over the creature in front of him. “I must be in a dream… a really REALLY bad dream…” he told himself, clutching his head.

I can’t believe it’s been eight years since that day… it seems like it happened only yesterday; Twilight “Accidentally” bringing me to Equestria because her ruler ordered her to do it. And before I knew it, I was defending a rainbow maned flying pony. Who would’ve guessed that whole murder trial was really just an accident? I guess it’s better to have no murderer for a change. Especially since it saved Sonata for a crime she didn’t commit either. I still don't understand how Celestia knew about me though... Anyway, I’m not really here to talk about the past. I’m here to talk about the present and what’s been going on lately.
“Mr. Wright!” A voice yelled from the other room. Right then an 18 year old woman walked in the room where i was. “What are you doing?” She paused and she looked at the picture I was holding. “What’s that?”
“Huh??” I said looking up at her, hiding the picture in my suit. “It’s nothing Athena… just an old photo.”
This is Athena Cykes, a new defense attorney who received her badge at the remarkable age of 18. I suppose there is good reason for that though. She is a specialist in analytical psychology, which she studied in the Europe. She has a special ability to pick up subtle emotions from witnesses' voices, and she examines these using a device called the Mood Matrix.The Mood Matrix is linked to a necklace she wears that changes color with her emotions. She’s been with us for about a year, and her power has really helped us get through tight spots. “Hey, where’s Apollo by the way?” I asked trying to change the subject. “He said he’d be here a half hour ago.”
“Relax, he’ll be here.” Athena sighed. “But he is taking a while…”
“Now that I think about it, Where’s Trucy?” I asked.
“I haven’t seen her all day…” Athena admitted. “It’s so weird…”
“I wonder where they could be…”

“Trucy, why exactly are we here again? Phoenix and Athena are expecting me to be there by now.” Apollo said in a sort of annoyed tone.
“Don’t worry, we’ll be back eventually. And I told you, daddy said that he has a friend who lives here.” Trucy replied.
“A friend who lives in a village that believes in channeling spirits… that’s totally normal.”
“Oh, and those hair horns are normal?” Trucy asked sticking her tongue out.
“THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY HAIR!!” Apollo shouted. All of a sudden he got a lot of strange looks from about everyone in the village. “Uh… eheheh…” he said rubbing the back of his head. “Sorry…” he said speaking to the villagers.
“Well, you sure are loud.” a woman said walking up to Apollo. She was dressed in robes so strange, she made the entire village look like everyday people. “May I ask why you two are here?” the woman asked.
“Well, I’m Apollo Justice, and this is Trucy Wright.” Apollo said pointing at Trucy. “We were wondering if you could help us find someone…?”
“Who are you looking for?” the woman asked.
“We’re looking for a girl named Maya Fey.” the young magician girl answered.
The woman chuckled at the two of them. “Well, there’s no need to look, because you’re looking at her.”
Apollo looked at her mouth agape. “YOUR Maya??”
“The one and only.” Maya giggled. “So how did you two know about me?”
“Well… uh…” Apollo let out lost in thought. “We were told that… you knew Phoenix Wright?”
Maya simply smiled closing her eyes for a moment. “Heh… it’s been a long time since I’ve spoken to Nick.”
Apollo and Trucy looked at each other. “Nick?” Apollo asked.
“Yeah.” Maya answered. “It’s what his friend Larry called him, so I call him that too.” she paused and sighed. “I can’t believe it’s been eight years… I would sure love to see him again.”
“Well, why don’t you come with us to the Wright Anything Agency?” Trucy Offered. “I’m sure daddy would love to see you too.”
“Wright Anything Agency…? Daddy??” Maya said a little shocked. “What happened to Wright and Co. Law Offices? And since when did Nick have a daughter??”
“It’s a long story…” Trucy giggled. “So what do you say? Do you want to come for a visit?”
“I’m not sure…” Maya admitted. “Don’t get me wrong, as much as I’d love to see Nick again, I have duties here as the Master of the Kurain Channeling Technique.”
“What’s that…?” Apollo asked.
“It allows us to channel the spirits of the dead from our body.” Maya answered which made Apollo instantly go into shock. “Yeah, Nick had the same reaction when I told him.” she giggled.
“How does this… whole spirit thing work…?” Apollo asked.
“Well…” Maya started. “The Kurain Channeling Technique is mainly used by the woman of this village. Hardly any men learn this technique.”
“Could you possibly demonstrate it for us?” Trucy asked.
Maya grinned and closed her eyes for a moment to concentrate, and almost instantly, her form changed along with her voice. “Hello.” the woman spirit said.
“Whoa… so… who are you?” Trucy asked.
The woman smiled at the two. “My name is Mia Fey.”

I can’t believe it’s already been two years since that day… I’m so glad Celestia knew about him, otherwise Rainbow Dash would be on the sun right now… although, how she knew about Mr. Wright is still a mystery to me. Everytime I bring up the subject during our royal meetings, she always changes the subject. What isn’t she telling me? I guess I shouldn’t be thinking about it too much, but the thought has come to mind many times… and strangely more frequently after my little trip to that alternate world where I wasn’t even a pony anymore… but… into a human. Has something happened? Is Phoenix in trouble??... And is he having the same thoughts as me…?
“Twilight!!” a voice called. “What are you doing??”
“Huh?” I responded. “Oh, hey Spike… Sorry, I was just thinking…”
“Thinking about what?” Spike asked. “That royal guard who reminds you of--...”
“No!” I retorted. “I wasn’t thinking about Flash…” I sighed and took out the group photo of my friends with Phoenix. “I was just thinking about him…” I said showing Spike the picture.
“Oh yeah… it has been a while since we’ve seen him.” Spike said holding the picture.
“I still feel bad though…”
“For what?”
“Well, he did get Rainbow Dash proven innocent, but he didn’t get a proper reward for doing it…”
“I thought Princess Celestia gave him over 70,000 bits!” Spike said tilting his head in confusion.
“He couldn’t use that money in his world, remember?” I sighed. “And he gave the money to Trixie…” I took the picture back and placed it over the fireplace. “I wish there was something we could do to properly thank him for what he did for us…”
Spike held a claw to his head, lost in thought but then his eyes widened as if he had thought of an idea. “I know! How about we ask Princess Celestia? Since those two are friends, she has to know what we should do for him.”
“Spike, Phoenix isn’t exactly friends with Princess Celestia, remember? I summoned him to my library and he had no idea who she was… or that Equestria even existed for that matter.”
“You’ve got a point there…” suddenly his eyes widened as if he had another idea. “I’ve got it!” he exclaimed. “We could go visit him in his world!”
“Are you crazy!?” I exclaimed. “I highly doubt that Princess Celestia would allow us to visit him this sudden…”
“Aw come on Twilight, it has been 30 moons… plus I don’t mind being a dog again if it means seeing Phoenix again too.”
“I suppose we could ask her…” I sighed. “Although I’m not going to be extremely thrilled walking on two legs with hands again…”
“Don’t worry Twilight, You’ll pick it up like you do with everything!”
I just looked at him and sighed nervously taking out a blank letter. “Dear Princess Celestia… I’m sending you this letter for a request. A personal request that has been bothering me for quite some time now. I assume you recall Phoenix Wright. Well, before he left, he wasn’t exactly rewarded properly. Spike and I figured since it’s been 30 moons, we could give him a proper gift by visiting him in the human world. I realize you may have second thoughts about this, but it would be really nice to see him again. Expecting a response from you soon, you’re most faithful student, Twilight Sparkle.” Spike then rolled up the letter and sent it to the princess. I just sighed and waited.
“Relax Twilight, I’m sure Princess Celestia will let you go and visit him.” Spike said reassuringly. “Hey, maybe she’ll let all of us go!”
“Huh? All of us?”
“All our friends?”
“Oh right…” I sighed.
“What? You don’t want them to come with us?”
“No, it’s not that Spike. It’s just that last time we went into the human world, it was just the two of us. The others would get freaked out and confused about their bodies.”
“I’m sure they’ll get used to it. After all you did too.”
I thought for a moment. “I guess you’re right…”
A few moments of waiting had passed, and Spike finally received a reply from Princess Celestia. “Okay, let me read it…” Spike said opening the letter and clearing his throat. “My most faithful student Twilight Sparkle,” he started. “You are not the only one who has been thinking about him. And I will admit, I did not think all the way through when I paid him for his job well done. So to answer your question Twilight: Yes, I think it’s a great idea, and that you should bring your friends with you too. One more thing Twilight; by the time Spike finishes reading this letter, I will already be at your door.” Spike finished tilting his head. And without another word, there was a knock on my door. “Whoa…” Spike let out.
I then walked up to the door, opening it, revealing my teacher Princess Celestia. “How did you get here so fast…?”
“Well, it shouldn’t be too surprising Twilight.” Celestia grinned. “After all, I have been alive for over 1,000 years.”
“Point taken…” I said realizing how powerful her magic is. “Anyways, how are we going to travel into Phoenix’s world? The Magic mirror in the Crystal Empire?”
“Not this time, Twilight.” Celestia said.
“Huh? then how--...”
“Ever since your last encounter with the human world, I have been studying the mirror and this world to see if I can find a way to transport another pony, without using the mirror.”
“And… you found a way?”
“Indeed I have Twilight.” Celestia said with a warm smile. “Also if you wouldn’t mind, I would like to accompany you as well on this trip.”
“You want to come with us…? But what about your duties as Princess here? the rising and setting of the sun!”
Celestia giggled at me. “Don’t worry Twilight, I left that responsibility to my sister.”
“You think Princess Luna will be able to look after everything…?”
“I trust my sister completely.” Celestia Smiled again. “Now, why don’t we go and inform the rest of your friends about our little trip shall we?”
“Good idea.” I smiled as the three of us walked out the door.
“Where can Trucy and Apollo be…?” I asked pacing around the room.
“I have no idea…” Athena sighed as she was watching television. “I’m so bored, and there’s nothing good on right now…” she whined.
“What are you watching anyways?”
“The news…” Athena groaned. “There’s never any good news anymore is there?”
“If there was good news, it would be surprising. But the only good news that mostly comes up nowadays are sports scores and holidays… and that’s about it.” I said sitting next to Athena. “What’s on the news today anyways.”
“Apparently some girl is accused of murdering some other guy…” Athena tilted her head looking at the TV. “I’ll tell you what though, she looks really strange…”
“How do you figure?”
“Well for one thing, she has like… red and yellow hair, and her skin is… light orange…”
“That is strange…” I admitted looking at the girl as well. “Did they say her name?”
“I think it was… Sunset… Shimmer…?”
“Wow… strange girl with a strange name to boot.” I sighed. “What about the victim?”
“He has a weird name too…” Athena said. “His name was Flash Sentry…”
“I swear, I didn’t kill him…!” Sunset Shimmer pleaded. “Why in the world would I ever kill my friend!?”
“We have clear evidence that points to your guilt! And you have a clear motive!” Another person said… It looked like detective Fulbright. “Isn’t it true that you were together at one point, and he left you?”
“Yes that’s true, but that was years ago! Why in the world would I hold a grudge for so long!?” Sunset Shimmer exclaimed.
“It’s obvious!” Fulbright exclaimed. “You were clearly waiting for the right moment to strike; when he least expected it!”
“No! Please!” She pleaded close to tears.
“We even have proof that you killed him!” Fulbright exclaimed revealing a bloody pocket knife.“This was found pierced through the chest of the victim, Flash Sentry. An analysis shows that it was your fingerprints on the murder weapon!”
“There must be some kind of mistake! I’ve used that knife before, but I lost it a month ago! Isn’t there any way i can prove it!?” She asked.
“Well, you’ll have to hire a defense attorney I suppose…” Fulbright suggested. “And if you truly are innocent, I believe I know the perfect defense attorney to help your case.”
“W-who…?”
“Why, Phoenix Wright of course!” Fulbright exclaimed. “If you truly are innocent, then he will be the man to prove it!”
“T…Thank you…” Sunset Shimmer said sighing.
“Well, looks like we have an investigation on our hands, don’t we boss?” Athena said looking at me with a confident smile.
“I guess so…” I got up from the couch. “I guess we should go see this Sunset Shimmer in the detention center.”
“Good idea.”

“You’ve been here a lot haven’t you?” Athena asked.
“Yeah, I guess you could say that… I was even sent here myself once for a crime that I was accused of.” I sighed. “And the one girl I thought would save me… the girl I thought who loved me… was only using me…”
“Mr. Wright…” Athena said looking as if she felt really bad for me. “I had no idea…”
“It’s fine… I just don’t like talking about it…”
“I understand…”
After a few minutes of waiting, Sunset Shimmer came into the room. “Uh… hi there.” I said starting the conversation. She just looked at me with complete sadness and a loss of hope. “Uh… so you’re Sunset Shimmer?” she nodded at me. “Could you tell me what happened…?”
“I…” She started. “I honestly don’t know… I was walking home from college, and as I’m walking… I was unlucky enough to run into Flash Sentry’s body down the street from the police station…” she said as tears were starting to form.
“Seeing him in that state must’ve been really hard…” Athena said.
“I guess this is just another punishment for what I did in the past…” Sunset Shimmer said hanging her head.
“What you did in the past?” I asked. “What do you mean?”
“D...don’t worry… it’s nothing…”
“Phoenix…” Athena interrupted. “I’m sensing some discord in her tone of voice…”
“Huh?...” Sunset Shimmer asked.
“Sunset Shimmer, if what happened in the past is really important, then you have to tell us right now.” Athena said. “It may help us clear your name.”
Sunset Shimmer sighed. “It’s true what that detective said… Flash Sentry did break up with me…”
“W...What!?” I exclaimed.
“Please listen!!” Sunset Shimmer pleaded. “It was because of the way I acted before… before…”
“Before what?” I asked.
“...Before a friend helped me…” She finally answered. “She helped me realize what friendship really means…” Sunset Shimmer admitted. “Before I actually met her, I used to always tear other friendships apart… just for my amusement.”
“Wait, WHAT!?” Athena exclaimed. “That’s horrible!! You do realize this isn’t helping your case right??”
Weren’t you the one who said it would help her case!?
“I told you, it was before a friend helped me!” Sunset Shimmer exclaimed. “A true friend…” she said taking out a picture, sliding it under the glass for me to see.”
“Hey… she looks… awfully familiar.” I said studying the picture.

“I just don’t know what to do…” Sunset Shimmer broke into tears again. “I have no one to turn to… I feel alone…”
I can’t help but feel sorry for her… because I know how it feels to have no one to turn to… to feel alone… And I won’t rest until I help her! “Alright, I’ve made my decision.” Sunset Shimmer looked up at me. “I’m going to defend you in court tomorrow.”
All of a sudden, a look of hope shone from her eyes. “Y-you will!?” I nodded. “Oh, thank you so much Mr. Wright! You have no idea how much this means to me!”
“Don’t worry, if you’re truly innocent, then we’ll find the evidence to prove it.”
“Thank you…” Sunset Shimmer repeated with a warm smile.
“So, I’m guessing we head to where the body was found?” Athena asked.
“Yeah, let’s go and hope that there aren’t many people around…” I said walking out of the detention center with Athena.

With everypony in the library, Princess Celestia was preparing her spell to send all of us into the human world. “So are we all ready?”
“I’m so ready!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed. “It’ll be awesome seeing Nix again!”
“Almost!” Pinkie Pie exclaimed stuffing her party cannon in her mane. “Okay, now I’m ready!!” I just looked at her for a few seconds processing what she just did.
“I’m also ready darling~” Rarity hummed carrying a suitcase with a bunch of her outfits.
“Uh, Rarity? I don’t think those will fit you…” I mused.
“What ever do you mean darling?” Rarity asked.
“I mean, You’ll be wearing clothes as soon as you get there, and you’ll like fine. Trust me.”
Rarity sighed and put her suitcase down. “Alright..”
“I’m ready too…” Fluttershy said with a nervous smile.
“We’re all ready to go Twilight!” Applejack exclaimed.
“Great,” I smiled looking at Princess Celestia. “How’s the spell coming?”
“It’s just about ready…” Celestia said with her horn glowing brightly. “I need all of you to get close to me.” everyone nodded and did as she asked.
“Oh and… remember what I told you about your bodies girls…” I warned them. “It’ll take a little time before you’re all completely used to them.
“Don’t worry about it Twilight!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed. “The only thing I’ll be upset about is not having my wings for a while, but that’s…” she sighed. “No big deal…”
“Alright…” Celestia said. “The Spell is ready, hang on…!” she exclaimed.
There was a bright, nearly blinding flash coming from Princess Celestia. After a few moments, we could all feel our bodies changing. Changing into the same human form I took last time.

When the light started to fade, we could start to see a glimpse of our surroundings. We were in a building… and wow, was it a mess. I then looked at myself and the girls to see we had all changed into our human forms. Even Princess Celestia who resembled Principle Celestia from my last visit. “Is everybody okay?”
“Yeah…” Rainbow Dash spoke first. “I’m okay…” she looked at me in shock. “WHOA!” she exclaimed. “Twilight!?”
“Relax Rainbow Dash!” I said. “I told you this was how we were going to look didn’t I?”
“Yeah but… WOW…” was all Rainbow Dash could let out, struggling to get up. “Ugh…”
“Take it slowly Rainbow…”
I looked over at the others who were already up, but seemed to have a little trouble standing. Even Princess Celestia seemed uncoordinated at first.. and I couldn’t help but giggle at everyone. Spike of course was a dog again, and he was able to walk around like it was natural to him.
“This is going to take some getting used to…” Celestia admitted.
“I agree…” Rarity said as her legs were wobbling a bit.
“Why don’t you all try walking?” I suggested. “Maybe it’ll help you get used to it faster…” I watched them as they slowly took one step at a time slowly… all except for Pinkie Pie who was practically running as if she were human her whole life. “How… are you…?”
“It’s easy!” Pinkie Pie exclaimed with a hop and then looked around. “Wow… this place really is messy…”
“Well, if I did my spell correctly, this should be ‘Wright and Co. Law Offices’...” Celestia said looking around. “But this just looks unprofessional…”
We suddenly heard the door open slowly and saw three other humans walk in… all of which looked at us with complete shock and confusion. There were two girls and a boy there with strange hair… and one girl looked like she was wearing a magicians outfit while the other was wearing an outfit that made the magician look normal… “Uh… hi?” I said breaking the silence.
“Uh… hey there…” the boy with the red vest said looking at all of us. “Are you looking for something…?”
“Well… actually…” I spoke out. “Uh… Isn’t this “Wright and Co. Law Offices…?”
“Well, it used to be…” the magician girl answered. “But now it’s called “Wright Anything Agency.”
“Were… all of you looking for Mr. Wright?” The boy asked, and we all nodded. “Well to be honest, we were supposed to meet up with him and Athena, but a detore sort of made us late…” he held his hand out. “i’m Apollo by the way. Apollo Justice.” I shook his hand. “And this is Trucy…” he pointed at the magician. “And Maya Fey.” He pointed at the robed girl.
“Oh!” Celestia Spoke out. “It’s nice to officially meet you Maya.” Celestia said shaking her hand.
“Officially…?” Maya asked. “You know who I am?”
“Of course. I know you very well being the master of the Kurain Channeling Technique.”
Okay, I’m officially lost… “The what??” I asked.
“It’s a technique that allows people like me to channel a dead spirit.” Maya answered.
“Wait a second!” I let out.

“Why do you ask? Is there no magic in your world?” Twilight asked.
“No, there isn’t…” Phoenix replied. “Actually, you could say there is…”
“Please do tell, you see magic is sort of my bread and butter, I want to learn everything there is no know about it.” Twilight stated.
“Well, I have been able to speak to the dead via spirit channeling.” Phoenix answered. “That can be considered magic I guess.”
“Spirit Channeling?” Twilight asked.
“It’s when the spirit of someone who departed possesses the body of the living. I have used it to keep in touch with someone very dear to me…”
“Oh, I get it…” Twilight said. “Hey! Phoenix, can’t you do it right now? We can get Ace Swift in your body and asked him who killed him.
“Heh, sorry, I forgot to mention you have to be a high level spirit medium in order to perform the channeling technique.” he stated. “My friend is the one who normally does it.”
“I see…” Twilight sighed. “Thanks for the information though, I’ll definitely look into it more.”

“I actually remember Phoenix telling me something about that…” I said. “It was during our first investigation for the death of Ace Swift.”
“Wait,” Maya interrupted. “You’ve investigated with Nick before?”
“Mhm.” I nodded. “It was about two years ago.”
Apollo then gave me a look of shock and confusion. “But… that’s impossible…”
“Huh? what do you mean?” Rainbow Dash asked. “It’s true, he proved me innocent two years ago.”
“But… he didn’t even have his attorney badge two years ago… it was taken away before! In fact”
“W...Whaaaaat!?” I exclaimed then quickly pulled out the group photo. “But I’m sure he had that badge! He tried to present it to one of the guards!”
“This is strange…” Apollo said starting to think for a bit. “And what’s even more strange is I can tell she’s telling the truth…”
“Hmm…” Trucy started thinking as well. “I wonder why daddy never said anything…”
……
“DADDY!?!?!” Everyone of us exclaimed.
“What!?” Apollo exclaimed confused.
“Since… Since when is Phoenix a father!?” I asked extremely confused.
“For a few years now… but I’m not his birth daughter…”
“Oh…” I sighed. “But wait… I have to ask… when was his badge taken away?”
“Well… around eight years ago.”
……
“EIGHT YEARS!?!?” everyone exclaimed.
“What now!?!?” Apollo exclaimed.
“How can it have been eight years?? It’s only been two years for us!!” I exclaimed.
“What do you mean two years for you…?” Maya asked.
I just stood there for a moment. I guess if we’re going to make things easier on us, we have to tell them the full truth…

“WHAT?!?!” Apollo exclaimed now.
“Hey! calm down!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed.
“After what she just said!?” Apollo asked. “You actually expect us to believe that??”
“Fine, if you don’t believe me…” ”...Then this will prove it to you!”
I then presented the group photo with me, Phoenix, and my friends. “It clearly shows Phoenix with me and my friends! This photo was taken after we proved Rainbow Dash innocent.”
Apollo took the photo with a look of shock and disbelief. “This… this is crazy!”
“I know it’s hard to understand Apollo Justice…” Celestia interrupted. “But it’s the truth…” she grinned looking at Maya. “In fact, if you channel Mia, then she will agree with us.”
Maya then looked at Celestia in Shock… and so did I. “Princess Celestia… who’s Mia…?” I asked.
“Gah!!” Athena jumped. “Don’t you ever get tired of saying that!?”
“Ah! If it isn’t Phoenix Wright and Athena!” Fulbright exclaimed. “I take it you’ve accepted the request of the defendant?”
“Uh… yeah.” I said rubbing the back of my head. “Say, you wouldn’t happen to be carrying the murder weapon would you?”
“But of course! We needed to get it analyzed for fingerprints and a DNA test.”

“So, how’s the investigation going Mr. Fulbright?” Athena asked.
“Fantastic! Although…”
“What is it?” Athena asked.
“Prosecutor Blackquill gave me specific instructions not to say a word about the investigation to anyone… especially you, Wright.”
Figures he would only make the investigation harder on us… why can’t things ever just go smoothly for a change?
“But detective Fulbright!” Athena exclaimed. “You know just as well as I do that we serve for Justice too! Or did you already forget?”
“Ahhhh!!” Fulbright exclaimed freaking out. “No of course not! How could I forget??”
“Then wouldn’t it be a smart idea to give us some intel?” Athena said with a smug grin.
“Well, I suppose if it’s for Justice’s sake…” he cleared his throat. “Based on the autopsy report, Mr. Sentry’s death happened yesterday at around 2:00PM. He was believed to be returning home from one of his classes…”

“How can you be so sure he was coming from a class?” I asked.
“We were in contact with his parents this morning, and they confirmed that he took a Criminal justice course in college. And his class ended at around 1:45PM.”
“1:45PM…” I said. “That gave the killer about 15 minutes to get him…”
“Yes and that girl will pay dearly for her crime!” Fulbright said confidently.
“Uh… well…” I started. “Just for curiosity sake… do you really think it was her?”
“Of course I do! Just look at her! She even looks evil!”
“Please don’t tell me you arrested her for looks…”
“Haven’t you been listening? I told you an analysis had shown the defendant's fingerprints on the murder weapon!”
“But didn’t she say she lost it last month?” Athena asked.
Fulbright sighed. “You defense attorney’s really do put too much faith into your clients.”
“It’s our job to put faith in our client!” I exclaimed catching Fulbright off guard. “And I’m going to do everything it takes to prove Sunset Shimmer’s innocence!”
Fulbright was silent for a moment. “Very well, investigate all you want here, I have to touch base with prosecutor Blackquill.” with that Fulbright made his leave.
“That man is a real mystery…” Athena sighed.

“It’s… a pleasure to meet all of you.” Mia said looking at the humanized equines. “Princess Celestia has told me a lot about all of you.”
Apollo could help but hold his mouth open agape. “You… you mean it’s all true!?”
Mia just giggled at him. “Yes Apollo, it’s true… and if you don’t believe me, you can even ask the judge.”
“Huh?” Apollo tilted his head. “Why would the judge know about this?”
“Because Twilight here transported him to Equestria as well.” Celestia smirked.
Apollo just stood there dumbfounded… I would be too if I were in his shoes… oh wait… I am dumbfounded… “This is… beyond unbelievable…” I sighed.
“Don’t worry Twilight, Phoenix was having trouble believing this too.” Mia giggled. “After working with Maya for so long, it just became natural to him.” Mia paused for a moment. “Where is Phoenix by the way? shouldn’t he be here?”
“Actually, that’s what we were thinking…” I scratched my head. “But he wasn’t here when we came.”
“I guess we’ll have to wait for him here then.” Maya said.
“Yeah I guess you’re right……. wait… what happened to Mia??”
“Oh!” Maya started. “The channeling technique doesn’t usually last very long. I usually just channel my sister when I need her help.” Maya smiled. “She used to always help Nick in his trials when he first became an attorney.”
“I would imagine…” Just as I was lost in thought, we all turned our attention to the opening door.
“I just don’t understand it… who could the real killer be? There must've been something we missed…” Athena said as Phoenix followed her in.
“I don’t know… but we’ll have to do a thorough investigation before the trial starts tomorrow.” he responded.
“Yeah, otherwise Prosecutor Blackquill will cut us down for sure…”
“Hey!” I exclaimed without even thinking.
“Huh?” Phoenix said looking at me. “Hey… haven’t I seen you before?”
“Phoenix!” Athena exclaimed. “That picture the defendant gave us!”
“Oh right!” Phoenix said taking out a picture and comparing it to me. “There’s no mistaking it, the description of this photo matches perfectly.”
“Uh… hey Phoenix.” Apollo cut in. “These girls said they know you…”
“Apollo? Trucy..?” Phoenix said then turned his attention to--... “M-Maya!?” he exclaimed. “W-what are you doing here??”
“Apollo and Trucy invited me to come and visit! Seriously Nick, is that anyway to greet a friend after eight years?” Maya giggled.
“Wait wait wait…” Phoenix said holding his head. “I need time to process this… who exactly are all these girls?” Phoenix asked. “The only girl I’ve seen is this one from the picture my client gave me.”
“Your client? Who’s your client?” I asked.
Phoenix pulled out a file. “Her name is… uh… Sunset Shimmer…”

“Sunset Shimmer!?!?!” Celestia exclaimed.
“You both know her…?”
I knew it! i knew there was something wrong!!
“Oh man…” Rainbow Dash started. “I never thought i’d hear about her again…”
“Hey… haven’t I seen you somewhere before too…?” Phoenix asked.
“You could say that.” Rainbow said. “But it was around my home ‘Nix’.”
“Nix…?” Phoenix started. But then his eyes went into complete shock and disbelief. “N-no… it can’t be…!!!”
“Huh…? so… you actually do know them??” Apollo asked.
“R-...Rainbow Dash?!?!” Phoenix exclaimed.
“The one and only!” Rainbow smirked.
Phoenix looked back at me still in shock. “Then.. that means… TWILIGHT!?”
“eheheh… it’s good to see you again Mr. Wright…” I said rubbing the back of my head.
“H-how are you here??? and as humans!??”
“I believe that would be my doing…” Celestia said walking to him. “They asked to visit you… and to be honest I’ve been thinking the same thing.”
Phoenix just shook his head. “L-look, I’ll question this later… you girls came at a wrong time…”
“I heard… Sunset Shimmer is being accused of murder.” Twilight sighed. “But I don’t understand… the elements of harmony should have changed her to good… there’s no way she could have killed anyone.”
"So you actually know her then?"
"Of course, she used to live in Equestria."
Phoenix sighed. "So I'm basically defending another pony then...?"
"Yeah that's right..." I sighed.
"You okay?"
"Yeah it's just..." I paused thinking for a moment. "I can't help but feel like something really bad--..." I stopped myself. "Wait... In this case you're trying to solve, who's the victim...?"
“I have a copy of the autopsy report if you want to see it.” Phoenix said handing me the report.
“This is just really bizarre… and I thought Fulbright was strange.” Athena said.
I looked over the autopsy report and… and… “W..w..what…” i said as tears began to form in my eyes.
“Huh…?” Phoenix started. “What is it?”
“Is something wrong Twilight…?” Celestia asked.
Some of my tears fell onto the report...I couldn’t speak… all I let out was... “F...Flash…”
“T-twilight...?” Phoenix said getting confused.
I just collapsed on to the floor… “N...No…” That’s when I lost it… “NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!” I just screamed in tears. “He can’t be dead!! He just can’t be!!” I was faced down against the floor with everyone looking at me lost and confused.. “I loved him…”
Everyone around me… including my friends just went into shock at what I had just said. “Y...you were in love with him…?” Celestia asked.
“Y-yes… when I first came into this world,I was trying to get my crown back from Sunset Shimmer when she stole it…” I breathed heavily. “If it weren’t for Flash Sentry, I would’ve never been able to get my crown back… he helped me so much…” I clutched my hands into fists as more tears dripped. “He didn’t deserve to die this way!!!” I screamed out.

Oh man… This is even worse than I thought… even worse than when I was in Equestria… this time she actually lost someone she loved… “Twilight…” I started and she looked up at me. “Don’t worry… I’m going to find out who the real killer is so we can bring him or her to justice… and clear Sunset Shimmers name.” I could then see Twilight clenching her hands in a fist… and looking angrier than I’ve ever seen before.
“I’m going to help you…” She stated.
“Twilight…” Apollo started. “I think it would be best if you just leave it to--...”
“NO!!” Twilight retorted scaring Apollo a little. “I’m going to find the real killer if it’s the last thing I do!”
“Twilight…” Celestia said feeling bad herself.
“But first… there’s someone I need to visit first…”
“Who…?” I asked a little nervous.
“Sunset Shimmer… I want to hear exactly what she saw.”
“I’ll go with you if you’d like… that is… only if you want me to.” Apollo offered.
Twilight just looked at him for a moment but she nodded in agreement. “Thank you Apollo…”
“While you two are speaking to her, me and Athena are going to be doing some thorough investigation.” I said placing a hand on Twilight’s shoulder. “Don’t worry… we will catch the real culprit to this case Twilight…”
“P-Phoenix…” Twilight let out. And without warning she wrapped her arms around me and cried holding onto me tight. I just placed a hand on her head.
“It’s alright… I know what it’s like to lose someone you care about…” I looked into her eyes. “I will find the real killer… that’s a promise…” she slowly let go of me.
“Thank you Phoenix…” she was able to let out. “You’ve… really done so much for me and my friends…”
“Are you sure Sunset Shimmer is going to know something else Twilight?” Apollo asked.
“It’s worth a shot…” I sighed. “I still can’t believe it’s been eight years here…”
“Hey, I’m still finding it hard to believe that you’re a pony so…”
“She’s here…” the guard said as a familiar figure walked into the room. That state I saw her in nearly drew tears in my eyes. She looked like she was completely in shock and nervous… and I don’t blame her. After everything she’s gone through, and what she saw… I’m sure anypony would feel that way.
Sunset Shimmer looked at me, but she didn’t seem too surprised. “Why are you here…?” she asked me. “Don’t you have classes today?” Classes…? What is she talking about…. Oh wait, that’s right… there’s supposed to be another ‘me’ in this world.
“Actually, we’re both here to ask you some questions.” Apollo said.
“You cut class to help me…?” Sunset asked. “Since when does somebody like you do that?”
“I believe you mean some’pony’...” I sighed.
“Some… pony…?” Sunset Shimmer then gasped at what I just said. “T-twilight!? As in Twilight from Equestria Twilight!?!?”
“Yeah… It’s me…” I looked into her eyes. “It’s… been a long time since you’ve seen me, hasn’t it…?”
“Eight years…” Sunset Shimmer let out practically in tears.
“I guess things have only been harder since I went back home…”
“Let’s just say…” Sunset Shimmer began. “The other you doesn’t exactly share the same trait as you.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“I mean, she doesn’t care about friends… all she cares about is her work… and getting things done by any means possible…”
“...”
“What?” She asked.
“Actually Sunset… that’s not far off from me…”
“Huh? What do you mean?”
“Well… it all started before Princess Celestia sent me to Ponyville…” I cleared my throat. “I didn’t really care about making friends at all. Even when ponies invited me to a party in Canterlot, I usually declined just so I can get into my studies.”
“That’s… just like the Twilight in this world!” Sunset exclaimed. “She never even tried to be friends with the others back when we were still in Canterlot High!”
I sighed. “Sending me to Ponyville is what really changed me for the better. Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy have all been the best friends that anypony could have…”
“I guess that’s why Princess Celestia decided to make you a princess instead of me…” Sunset Shimmer sighed. “I just wish I could take everything wrong I did back…”
“You’re a changed pony now Sunset… You shouldn’t be worrying about what you did in the past anymore.”
“Sunset Shimmer…” Apollo started. “Could you tell us exactly what you saw?”
“What more is there to say?...” Sunset Shimmer sighed. “As soon as I saw his body, I was completely in shock and I… I just didn’t know what to do…”
“What was he wearing during that time?”
“Is that really important…?”
“Any piece of evidence could be vital…”
“Well…” She placed her hand on the back of her head. “He was wearing a black leather jacket over a plain old white t-shirt…”
“Wait… he was wearing a leather jacket?” Apollo asked. Sunset nodded. “Please tell me that you didn’t put you hand on him when you found him…”
“Well, what else do you think I would do?? I panicked!”
“You don’t understand! Leather preserves fingerprints really well… and your fingerprints being on it isn’t exactly going to help your case.” Sunset Shimmer just looked down, and looked even more upset than before.
“Twilight…” Sunset started. “I just want you to know that… if I do get a guilty verdict…”
“No!” I exclaimed. “Don’t think like that! I promise we will get you cleared of all charges!”
“But… why would you do that for me Twilight? After everything I did to you after I stole your crown…”
“Because… that’s what friends do…”
“H..huh…?” Sunset looked at me. “You… consider me as a friend…?”
“I do.” I leaned in closer. “I know you’ve changed… Phoenix and I are going to do everything we can to prove it. Besides… I don’t want to lose someone else…” I said as tears began to form in my eyes again.
Sunset Shimmer just looked at me emotionless. “It must’ve been hard hearing about his death…” She finally said.
I sighed heavily. “It was… How are the others though?”
“Oh well… Rainbow Dash went into college with a full scholarship thanks to her being so good at sports… Rarity went into fashion designing… Applejack never went into college, so I’m guessing she works at her farm… Fluttershy owns an animal shelter to help lost and injured animals… and Pinkie Pie… I’m not really sure what happened with her.” Sunset Shimmer paused to think for a moment. “Oh and the other you is in college for computer software and technology. She actually went into the same college Flash was in. Just not in Criminal justice.”
“How do you know that?”
“Well, I usually see them walking home together… but they usually didn’t talk.”
“Really, they never said a single thin to each other?”
“Well Flash tried to the first time he met her, but she just wasn’t interested. After that, he just gave up.”
“That’s strange…”
“Yeah…” Sunset Shimmer said feeling a little uneasy.
“Something wrong?”
“No, it’s nothing… I’m just having a hard time thinking why the other Twilight wouldn’t talk to him…” Sunset Shimmer said rubbing the back of her head.
“Yeah… me too…”
“Hold on a second Twilight…” Apollo said feeling his wrist. “My wrist just tensed up…”
“So…?”
“So, usually when that happens, it means the person we’re talking to is lying or hiding a secret.”
“Wait… huh?” I whispered. “Wait, so you’re telling me that she’s hiding something…?”
“It seems like it… I’ll have to check her…” Apollo cleared his throat. “Sunset Shimmer, do you mind saying that for me one more time?”
“Huh?” She replied. “What for?”
“I just need to make sure everything I heard was correct…”
“Well… alright…” she said clearing her throat. “No, it’s nothing…I’m just having a hard time thinking why the other Twilight wouldn’t talk to him…”
“Sunset Shimmer…” Apollo Started. “Please, I want you to tell us everything that you know. Don’t even let out the smallest details.”
“But… I don’t know what you’re talking about…!”
“Oh really? Then how come as soon as you said you were having a hard time thinking why the other Twilight didn’t speak to him, you looked the other way and your left eye sort of twitched.”
“What??”
“Please Sunset Shimmer, we are only trying to get the full story. Lies aren’t going to help us or help your case.”
Sunset Shimmer sighed. “Alright, I’ll tell you what happened…” She looked right at both of us. “It all started after you left this world, Twilight…”
“Huh?” I started. “What do you mean?”
“I don’t know how to explain it… but the day right after you left, the Twilight of this world showed up to Canterlot high. As you can guess, your friends here were surprised and automatically thought it was you… leaving the Twilight of this world speechless and confused. She then found that video I made about you on the internet, and by her judgement, thought it was her on footage…”
“Oh yeah… I still remember that… But wait, what does this have to do with her not wanting to talk to Flash?”
Sunset Shimmer sighed. “I’m sorry Twilight… I really am…”
“Sunset… what did you do??” Apollo asked.
“I… told her that Flash Sentry was already with someone…”
“Why in the world would you tell her that!?” I exclaimed. “I went home to Equestria and thought I wouldn’t see him again…!”
“I don’t know… I guess there was still some jealousy left in me after you left…” Sunset Shimmer sighed. “Why does this have to happen to me…? Why… why am I like this??” I could see tears dripping from her face. She… really is confused about this whole thing…… something feels wrong… a familiar feeling that I haven’t felt since…
...No, it can’t be… can it…?
“Apollo, I need you to call Mr. Wright here… now!”
“Huh?” Apollo asked in confusion. “Why? I thought he was going to investigate…”
“Please Apollo! This is really important!” I exclaimed. “I feel like it’s something only Phoenix can do. Please! Call him now!!”
“Alright, alright!” Apollo said taking out his phone. He then dialed the number and waited for an answer.

“Hello? Apollo?” Phoenix answered. “What happened? I was just about to head to the crime scene.”
“It’s Twilight. She says she needs you here at the detention center as soon as possible.” Apollo stated. “She says it’s something only you can help her with apparently…”
“Something only I can help with…? What does she mean?”
I then grabbed the phone from Apollo’s hand. “Phoenix please! I need you to hurry here and don’t waist any time! No questions, just please hurry!”
“Alright, I’m on my way.” Phoenix said hanging up the phone.
“Please… hurry…” I said clutching the phone in my hand.
“You wanna tell me what this is about, Twilight?” Apollo asked taking his phone back.
“If my theory is correct then… I’ll explain after.”
After around 15 or twenty minutes of waiting, anxiously pacing around the room, Phoenix finally arrived with Athena and both of them had a look of worry and confusion. “I’m here” Phoenix said walking to me. “What’s wrong? What happened?”
“Phoenix, give me your magatama.” I quickly responded.
“Huh? But… why?”
“Let me see it, please!”
“Alright, take it easy…” Phoenix said taking out the magatama and handing it to me.
I then turned back to Sunset Shimmer. “Now… you said you didn’t know why this is happening to you, right?”
“I.. I honestly don’t know why…” Sunset Shimmer said still in a look of shock. And just what I thought would happen…
I know I was expecting this… but it was still a shock to see… those again… dark locks that were also around Trixie… and I could never get them removed…!
"Twilight! What's the matter?" Phoenix asked.
"I...I see them... I see the psyche locks around her!"
"You're telling me that she was lying!?" Apollo exclaimed. "But wait... Why didn't my bracelt react to the lie...?"
"Phoenix..." I said staring at Sunset Shimmer. "They're black..."
"W... WHAAAAAAT!?" He exclaimed. "Black psyche locks!?"
"Yes Phoenix... Please you have to tell me what this means, because this isn't the first time I saw these locks..."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"The first time I saw them... Was when I sent you to Equestria..."
"Who did you see them on...?"
"...Trixie..." I sighed. "Please Phoenix... What do black psyche locks mean? Does it mean that person is hiding a really bad secret...?"
"Not exactly Twilight..." He sighed. "It's rare but, usually when a black psyche lock appears, it means that person is hiding something so deep, that person isn't aware of the secret themself. A forgotten, yet dark secret."
"So... How can I remove them?..."
"It's not that easy Twilight..." Phoenix sighed. "Removing a black psyche lock is a lot more tricky to remove than a red one."
"So what you're saying is... It's nearly impossible to remove them..."
Everyone of us headed back to Wright Anything Agency to plan out our investigation. Since I’m finished talking to Sunset Shimmer, I might as well help with the investigation. After all, I don’t think Phoenix would say no to me… But there has been something else on my mind as well… Those five black psyche locks… I wasn’t able to remove them from Trixie, but this time, I have to be the one to remove them from Sunset Shimmer. So that’s what I’m going to do! “Phoenix…?”
“Yeah Twilight?” he said turning to me.
“I was wondering if I could come with you and help with the investigation.”
“I don’t know Twilight… investigations can get pretty dangerous here.”
“Investigating in Equestria was dangerous for you too Phoenix… after all you did get attacked in the forrest.”
“Nick!” Maya exclaimed. “You didn’t tell us you got attacked! We could have called the police!”
“I highly doubt any police officer would find me in ‘that’ location Maya!”
“Oh by the way Nick! You did get rid of that picture right?”
“Huh? What picture?”
“You know…” Maya said rubbing the back of her head. “The one Pearly thought it was from a ‘sugar mama’...”
Suddenly Phoenix’s face went from confusion to utter shock. “P-please Maya, don’t mention that now!!”
“Huh?” I interrupted. “Phoenix, what picture is she talking about?”
“Uh… let’s just say it was evidence from when I was in Equestria…”
“What evidence was it?”
“Really?” Maya interrupted. “That picture with the rainbow pony was evidence…?”
“Picture with--...” I then went into shock. “Oh my… you mean the one with Rainbow Dash--...”
“T-Twilight, hush up about that!!” Phoenix exclaimed.
“Okay, now I’m curious…” Athena said with a smirk.
“Look, don’t worry about it Athena… it was just evidence that somepony was trying to blackmail my client.”
“Did you seriously just say ‘somepony’...” Apollo mused.
“Wait a second…” Rainbow started. “Blackmail……….” Then she went into shock… and anger… “YOU SHOWED HER THAT!?!?!”
“W-wait! Rainbow Dash, I can explain!!” Phoenix exclaimed.
“Why in Equestria would you show her that picture of me!?!? As if ponies in that trial knowing wasn’t enough!”
“She grabbed the picture out of my pocket! I was never even planning on showing her!”
“Aaagghh… Come on!!” Rainbow Dash grunted.
“I’m sorry okay!? It’s not like there’s anything I can do about it now!”
“Look… we don’t exactly have time to worry about the past, alright?” I sighed. “We have to investigate the crime scene right now… but… before we do…” I looked up to Mr. Wright. “Phoenix? Back in the detention center, like I told you then, I was never able to remove those psyche locks from Trixie…”
“Yeah…?” he responded.
“Well, I want to be able to remove Sunset Shimmer’s Psyche locks this time. Which leads me to… well…” I paused and looked as confident as I could. “I want to be the one to defend her.”
“Huh?” Was all Phoenix responded.
“Twilight, are you sure that’s such a good idea?” Celestia asked. “You are basically putting the life of Sunset Shimmer in your hands…”
“I realize that Princess Celestia… but after Phoenix left Equestria, I’ve been doing some study of law on my spare time… plus, I want to be the one who proves my friend innocent…”
“But Twilight, it’s not that easy. You need to have an attorney badge to defend her…” Phoenix stated.
“Oh come on Nick, you forgot already?” Maya asked.
“Huh?”
“Eight years ago, who was the one who took your place after you ran and fell through burning bridge?”
“Edgeworth… I gave him my magatama, and attorney badge so that he could defend Iris.”
“Wait a minute, you ran through a burning bridge!?” I exclaimed. “What in the world were you thinking!?”
“I needed to make sure Maya was safe at the time, alright??”
There was a slight pause in the room until I broke the silence again. “Also… who’s Iris?”
Phoenix sighed looking down. “Iris was… someone I knew.”
“Who?”
“Just… a friend.”
“Phoenix, you do realize I’m still holding the magatama… right??”
“Okay, okay!” he exclaimed. “It was a girl I used to be with… I guess you could say she was my girl friend… a girl friend who I knew nothing about.”
“Knew nothing about? How does that work?”
“Because, at the time I knew her with a different name… Dahlia Hawthorne… Don’t get me wrong, both Dahlia and Iris did exist… they were twin sisters. Which gets me to the part of why I knew nothing about Iris. I first met Dahlia after a major trial… the poisoning of a defense attorney. She met me after that trial and asked me to hold on to something for her; a bottle necklace in the shape of a heart. I didn’t know it at the time, but that bottle originally had poison in it. The poison that was used on the other attorney. That was the only day I actually saw Dahlia… the real Dahlia. For six months, I was with Iris, thinking it was her sister. The second time I saw the real Dahlia, was when I was in court.”
“Oh, so who were you defending?” Celestia interrupted.
“No Celestia, I wasn’t defending anyone… I was the one being accused for murdering a student that went to the same college as me.”
“That’s right…” I interrupted. “I remember you telling me something about this back when we were in Equestria.”
“Blinded by my love for her, I thought she was going to protect me… But she gave a testimony against me instead.” I sighed looking down. “But there was one person who did protect me and prove me innocent… Mia Fey… She’s the one who taught me what being a defense attorney was really about. Finding the truth… always believe in our client until the very end… and always greet our client with a smile, especially when things seem bad.”
“Always keep smiling…” I said showing a slight smirk thinking of Sunset Shimmer. Don’t worry Sunset Shimmer… I will prove you innocent, no matter what it takes. I’ll find everything I can to help you.
“Alright Twilight…” Phoenix said removing his badge. “Here.” He handed me his attorney badge. I couldn’t help but smile looking at it and at Phoenix.
“Thank you so much Phoenix… You have no idea how much this means to me.” I said attaching the badge to my collar… or trying to.
“Here, let me help…” Phoenix said attaching the badge.
“Thanks.”
“Twilight…” Celestia sighed. “You’ve never defended anyone in your life before. You’re taking a big risk here.”
“I know Celestia… But she’s my friend. And it’s also my duty to protect her.”
Celestia looked down for a moment concerned. But then looked back up with a slight smile. “I knew I made the right decision…”
“Huh?” Phoenix asked. “What do you mean?”
Celestia simply giggled at Phoenix’s confusion. “Things didn’t only change for you Mr. Wright… Things changed for all of us… Twilight especially.”
“What changed for Twilight…?”
“Well…” I smiled sheepishly. “I’m a princess in Equestria now.”
Phoenix just looked at me wide-eyed. “You’re… a princess?”
I nodded blushing. “Mhm…”
Phoenix was silent for a moment and then just shook his head. “Uh… how about we get to the crime scene…?” He said obviously in disbelief.
“I’ll be there too.” Athena smiled. “In fact, how about I assist you in trial tomorrow, Twilight?”
“Thanks Athena, but I don’t think I’ll need help…” I smiled slightly.
“Actually, I think she should go with you.” Apollo said walking up to us. “With her power, she can be really helpful.”
“What exactly is her power…?” I asked.
“Well…” Athena started. “I’m able to hear the emotions of a person’s heart, and if an emotion doesn’t make sense, we present that to that person.”.
“That’s… that’s amazing…” was all I could let out. I can hardly imagine the possibilities with that power. But just before I was about to get more into detail about her power there was a knock on the door. “Who could that be?”
“I don’t know, but I suggest all of you go into the other room.” Apollo stated.
“Huh? What for?” Applejack spoke out.
“No, no.” I interrupted. “He’s right, come on let’s go.”
“Thanks.” Apollo said as everyone walked into the other room… well, almost everyone. I decided to hide a little close. Close enough so I could see who was coming in.
“Come in.” Phoenix finally responded to the knock.
“Oh!! Mr. Wright! You are going to defend Sunset Shimmer, right!?” A loud familiar voice exclaimed walking in…… Wait… IS THAT…!?
“W-what the!?” Phoenix exclaimed. “How did--... when did you--...!?” Phoenix obviously too surprised, I decided to step in.
“Phoenix, calm down…” I giggled a bit. “It’s only Pinkie Pie.”
Pinkie Pie… or I should say this worlds Pinkie Pie, was just looking at me… strangely with disappointment. “What are you doing here??”
“I’m here for the same reason as you… Flash Sentry, right?”
“Of course I’m here about that! I just asked if he was going to defend Sunset Shimmer!”
“Why are you so angry…?”
“Because you shouldn’t be here! And since when did you care about him?? All you did was ignore him and us!”

I strike what I said before… this other me is even WORSE than the actual me was…… my head hurts…
“Pinkie Pie, you don’t understand. I’m not that same person… literally.”
“And what is that supposed to mean??” Pinkie Pie said sternly looking at me.
“Ugh…” How am I going to convince her that--
“Hey Pinkie Pie!” A voice from below called out. “Good to see you again!”
“Huh?” Pinkie and I both said looking down at Spike. “Spike, you were supposed to be in the other room!”
I then heard a dramatic gasp from Pinkie Pie. “Y..your dog is talking!? But the only talking dog I’ve seen belongs to…” she slowly turned to me. “P...princess… Twilight…?”
I smiled slightly. “It really is good to see you again Pinkie Pie.”
“Oh my gosh!!” Pinkie Pie exclaimed and hugged me. “I’m so sorry I yelled at you! If I knew it was you I wouldn’t have!”
“It’s okay Pinkie Pie, really.” Pinkie Pie picked up Spike.
“Hey Spikey!” Pinkie giggled and started petting him.
“You actually caught us as we were about to go and investigate the crime scene.”
“Whoa, wait a minute! What exactly are you doing back here Twilight?”
“Well… we originally wanted to visit Mr. Wright, but then this whole thing happened…” I sighed.
“Wait, who’s ‘we’?”
“Alright, girls… you can come out.” I called out. All of my friends, including Celestia, then walked into the room. All Pinkie Pie did was stare at everyone in shock. But then she saw…
“What… the…” This worlds Pinkie Pie said staring at our Pinkie Pie.
“Wow… it’s like I’m looking into the future!” Our Pinkie exclaimed.
“So you’re from Equestria like Twilight?”
“Sure am!” our Pinkie exclaimed. “Do you love to throw parties??”
“Of course!!”
Then eventually… this happened.
“Do you like playing games? Making friends? Helping friends? Baking cupcakes? Baking Pie? Baking Cake? Throwing parties? Being with your--...” they both went on at the same time while everyone in the room just had a freaked out expression...until I stopped them.
“STOP!!” I exclaimed. “Please! We have to go investigate! I’ll be defending her tomorrow!”
“Wait!” This worlds Pinkie Pie turned to me. “Your defending Sunset Shimmer??”
“It won’t be easy… but yes, I have to be the one to defend her.” I said confidently. “She’s a friend, and a true true friend helps a friend in need.”
This world’s Pinkie Pie giggled a bit. “You really haven’t changed.”
“What do you want us to do while you’re away?” Apollo asked Mr. Wright.
“For now, just keep an eye on everyone.” Phoenix answered. “We’ll be back as soon as we can.”
“Alright, good luck to all of you.” Apollo said with a comforting smile.
With that, we then made our way out the door, to finally begin our investigation.
