Hello friends!
I've been doing some thinking. Wouldn't it be nice if there were more works exploring the ramifications of scientific ideas and technological innovations through stories about pastel-colored magic horses?
Pride Month was supposed to be great, and for a while, it was. It was so nice seeing all of the great stories people were writing, and I had a blast participating in the Pride-themed contests in the Quills and Sofas Speedwriting group with the amazing people there. I was planning on making my own mark, working on four stories of my own. They were great ideas, and I had a lot of fun developing them and trying out
searching their name + foalcon in the stories box will bring it up quick. and i'm not talking about the one of them that writes it, i'm talking about a second person.
this is not a call to action or anything like that at all, i can't stress that enough. i just personally would never have entered the contest had i known this fact, and so i would like to give you all the chance to know this information yourselves if it helps you make your decisions. i have withdrawn my own entry.
They say 300 likes is equivalent to 1000 likes in the old days, and that 1000 likes is equivalent to 3000 likes, which means this is the first fic of mine to get to 3000 likes! Thank you to everyone who contributed a green thumb towards making this possible. It is a nice feeling, knowing I have pleased at least 300 separate people with my words.
EDIT: Possible epilogue is now definite sequel, that way I can write what I want without breaking the form of the current story. So ignore this, lol
So I am a bit conflicted. I really like the Shot/Chaser duality and it seems optimal in the way that adding another section to the story would make it worse. But I also want to write an epilogue taking place centuries in the future? What do you think? Would it detract too much from the work?
