It's now with prereaders with the working title of Agni Kai, for its Avatar - The Last Airbender-inspired firebending battle—though that's far from the only thing it references. It's currently coming in at just shy of 16k words, meaning it'll probably be over 17k by the time I'm through with editing passes and all the additional detail I usually add.
The new Nightmare Night chapter is now well over 14k words and climbing as it's still not finished. I have one more sequence and transition to complete, which will likely leave this up over 16k words by the time all editing passes/prereads are done. That's on the verge of needing to be split up, but I'll try to avoid that, as I'd honestly prefer this epic battle of friends-turned-foes to be contained within a single chapter.
The next chapter of Nightmare Night is well underway and currently coming at a slow to moderate clip. I've got 6100 words down so far and as these are the story's climactic chapters, there's a good chance that this will double that length before all is said and done. I think now that the entirity of the Sunset/Twilight duel will be done in one chapter as opposed to two, though.
Though after the intense writing effort I put into the latest entry of Eros—I put a ton of work in on it, so if you read it, please comment, folks! —I’ll probably wait a day or two before starting the new chapter of Nightmare Night to try to recharge mentally.
And I thank my prereaders profusely, including most especially AJ_Aficionado, for pointing out a couple glaring issues I had to address. As I have now done so, and the chapter has received a resounding stamp of approval from AJA and others, I’m going to launch it tonight instead of tomorrow. With two chapters of Midnight Rising released along with two M-rated chapters of Feathered Hearts - Continuation and Chronicles this month, all that leaves is the final thing I promised—a new chapter of Nightmare Night. I said I’d have one out in time for Halloween, and having worked on it steadily all week, I’m pleased to say it will be ready, launching Monday (Halloween) night.
After a full year away. Sorry, folks, but so many other things had my attention and priority before this. The ending of the story has to wait for Midnight Rising to be finished in order to properly set up the climax, but there’s room for at least one and possibly two more intermediate chapters in the meantime.

I'm going to attempt my first-ever story commission. It will be M-rated and Equestria Girls-based, involving the one-by-one ascension of each of the Humane 6 to the same kind of Goddess form like Daydream Shimmer. M-rated because the ascensions themselves will be a very... sensual process.
Got 2 out of 3 prereads in at this moment, both positive. That means the chapter will launch either tonight or tomorrow morning, tipping the scales at 9k words. Two sex sections and two non, with the latter being seen from Sunset’s perspective on her entry into the castle and first meeting with a curse-corrupted Twilight.
Two weeks late, a new Nightmare Night chapter is finally nearing completion. My apologies for the delay, but my muse has been elsewhere (on Feathered Hearts) and it just had not been coming quickly. The main issue this time is work--I have a slew of intensive online training modules to go through, and I’m way behind on them. It’s a good skill to know, so I’ll do it, for the sake of my next job if my current one. But before I address that, I want to touch on my previous blog posts regarding my attempted defiance of a workplace vaccine mandate. They generated a ton of comments which, at least for the most part, were fairly civil despite vehement disagreement. For that, I thank all concerned. It's a rare thing nowadays.

As promised earlier. All prereads are in and the first of two editing passes has been completed. It's now tipping the scales at a whopping 12,100 words, but I'm not breaking it up as I consider it a climactic chapter of a major story arc. As such, it needs to be read as a single entity. Expect one hell of a roller coaster ride, folks, and for the story to earn its dark tag in the final section. We have a 9500 word chapter thus far, tentatively titled Lunar Lust, and it's a doozie. I promised to take Luna to the very edge of temptation, and this chapter does indeed deliver that. Be warned it may also rustle some jimmies, not so much for what happens but for admissions of what happened in the past. Needless to say, Luna has very good reason not to allow herself to fall into darkness again or be corrupted by this curse. So, will Nightmare Moon herself appear, you ask?
I have a week off, and plenty of writing to do. First up is the new NMN chapter. It currently stands at around 6200 words, and is likely to be a long one before all is said and done; possibly approaching or even exceeding 10,000 words.
