So I do still come here with some regularity, and I do read all my messages and notices, if only to remind myself of a time I had something I really focused on and worked on, and the most common theme is "Is The Most Unlikely Places going to be finished?" The answer, as one might imagine, is complicated.
So someone suggested to me that I should post a farewell note, regardless of the actual eventual result of the note in question. I think that makes sense, but I'm going to expand the eventual result--or so I hope--to some meaningful degree. Note I have been drinking, so the typos are a result of that. The sentiment is not.
So I'd like to think everyone who is a fan of "The Most Unlikely Places" is also one of my followers, but considering TMUP has twice as many likes as I do, I recognize that's probably not the case. As a result, a lot of you may not have noticed that TMUP has a new spinoff in production:
It's almost too bad I liked the 100th episode as much as I did. If I'd hated the canon they introduced (and/or implied), I could brush it off and go about my business. I didn't, though. I loved it. I try to be pretty accommodating to people's opinions, especially in the comments section of my stories. I try not to quash debate, even when it gets a touch heated, and I only step in when I think there's a chance for the discussion to take a vitriolic turn. But there is one thing I have asked people not to do, and I made it clear in two separate places--my blog and in response to some comments to the effect--and I've been ignored.

So I've been surfing the MLP subreddit and came across a pic by an artist whose canon I adore, specifically as it relates to Rarity, Spike, and their eventual life together. So there have been several people now who have taken umbrage with my use of the word "y'all" in a singular sense. I'm going to address it now and put the issue to rest, because I'm tired of seeing it rehashed in the comments section every time I post a chapter.
The argument goes that "y'all" is a contraction of "you" and "all". This is true.
So The Most Unlikely Places has been updated, but there are two separate chapters. The first is very expository, and doesn't really flow well with the second, so I decided to break them up into separate chapters and just post them both at the same time.
The second chapter is cloppy, so keep that in mind when you go to read it.
