1) I work full-time.
2) Just today I had a better idea for wrapping up the ending.
3) The ending was approaching 10k words.

These three reasons are why I've split the finale up into two parts. Personally I'm not a fan of chapters over 8000 words anyway, so I'm naturally inclined to do that myself. Reason 2 does mean I've had to re-work some things though, so it might be another 2 days for that to see the light. Hopefully just 1 day, but probably 2, you know what I'm like.

Much of my weekend has been spent toiling away at this last chapter, and it's ballooning into quite the monster. Almost certainly going to be over 6000 words.
Myself and my pre-readers are scouring through it right now, but it's getting late for me here, so it's gonna be just the one night's delay on publishing it. No biggie, right?

Looking back at AoE's description today got me thinking. I intentionally left it vague because I didn't know exactly at that point where the story was going, but now I fear that vagueness was bordering on overkill a tad. Now it's updated, I'd appreciate one or two of you chipping in with whether you think it's swung too far in the other direction (with references to what happens to Ponyville, etc).

Is not going Live tonight, unfortunately.
I planned to spend most of the evening on it but I've only just recovered from a particularly nasty migraine that floored me earlier. A right bugger.

That said, only a thousands words and some polishing here and there remain to be done, so certainly expect it to appear tomorrow evening.

Hope I didn't make you small dedicated group of readers wait too long this time. Hoping to cut down on the waiting time for next chapter too, because boy did I leave a doozy of a cliffhanger on this one.
If you do feel like commenting, I appreciate thoughts especially on chapter length and story flow. 2 areas I'm particularly looking at to improve at the moment.

I actually learned that I can actually finish a damn chapter given enough time and tea. And chocolate. Lots and lots of chocolate.

So yesh. Chapter 2 of After the End is off for proofreading, so expect it to drop within 24 hours. And then Chapter 3 sometime next week BECAUSE I WILL FINISH THIS OR DIE TRYING NO I WILL FINISH THIS JUST WATCH ME
