Well, it's less than I had hoped. Inspiration is a fickle thing indeed. Current progress is about a quarter of my rough draft and I'm trying to boot myself into getting things together.

After some hangups with Google Docs from my Kindle (quickly becoming my preferred tool for writing, can't lose those ideas that crop up on the go!), I have found another cloud service to write Burned Feathers from. Sadly, while Dropbox isn't as convenient as Gdocs was, at least I'm back in the saddle!

Chapter Eight is still at the 1k Mark, but it's moving. Another note, while I'm terrible at keeping deadlines, I plan to have the next chapter up by the end of this month. Wish me luck!

The rough draft is complete. It is also very rough. So my attention is now to make it readable in as little time as I can for my readers.

Fear not, I endeavor to finish this partition of literature within a week. Or something like that. Anyways, Burned Feathers turns two years old this week, so yay!

The rough draft of chapter 5 is now finished! Strangely, it's looking like my shortest yet (Though, that is pending during some revisions, weirder things have happened).
So, all in all, it looks like the chapter is going to be on time and done by July!

Now sitting at about two months since my last story update, I have managed to hit the 6k mark on my word count for the next chapter. This is, by comparison to previous chapters of mine, rather underwhelming. The good news is that Ch. 5 is likely to be on the short end (relatively...) and is more than half done. This may actually mean that I can finish the first draft of the chapter within a week or so and get the finished chapter before Everfree North West!

I'm not too terribly sure how I managed it, but four is up in a decent time frame. Plus, it's somehow short! Doubly exciting, I suppose.

So, Chapter four has undergone a couple acute spasms of inspiration, and now sits at a little over 7k. This is rather good, as the next chapter seems to be a short one! (by my standards...) Yep, time to let the internet know what's goin' on her in my little corner!

Chapter four is a smidge over 4k. Not much so far, but I'm still working on it. (Anypony who remembers how long Ch. 3 took won't be worried...)

And as a side bonus, I'm retooling chapter 1. I'm not changing the story one bit, just making it read a lot better. Because simply, it was terrible as released. Though that won't be a problem for too long.

Yep! I've finished the actual chapter and am only needing to refine it. It should be posted by the end of the week!
