This hoofnote is about Roan, which I know we haven't seen as much of as other cities. Hey, they've been preoccupied.

It's pony Las Vegas.
The tourist industry in Applewood gets its backbone from the princesses and the Elements of Harmony. Celestia and Luna signed all sorts of documents back in the day allowing their likenesses to be represented, but the Elements (the current ones) did not, so advertisements have to be careful not to be too on-the-nose with their depictions. Everyone knows who the white unicorn sipping a drink on the bar's front is supposed to be, though.
For tonight's hoofnote, we're taking another deep dive into the mechanics of magic, this time with sigils.
This hoofnote concerns anomalous intellects: where they come from, how they work, what kinds there are, and so forth.
It's a hoofnote, after half a friggin' year.
When the main crew is having fun in Appleloosa, we get a couple mentions of religion. This was actually a tricky decision for me, because I didn't want to potentially cloud this story with any spiritual underpinnings. Ultimately, though, I think a gentle touch will help fill out my world.
Hoofnote time. Today, it's elementary Tartarus magic. Twilight tells her pals all about this, but I figured I'd save the nitty-gritty for an adjunct entry.
Looking back, I realized that in one post, I said I would call them hoofnotes, but then totally forgot and called them footnotes right after. My bad, yo. So, this hoofnote is concerning the technology and engineering of Cloudsdale. I touch on it in chapter 31, but this is where I'd really like to sink my teeth into it.
Another footnote, or hoofnote. This one deals with sexual stuff, so, you know, fair warning.
Do our little ponies experience estrus, or have a more human sex drive? This question could come up at pretty much any time, but I'm addressing it now for two reasons. One, it's becoming relevant, and will become even more so in future chapters. Two, if you pay attention to the details, you'll know that right now, it's spring, which is typically when horses begin their estrus cycles.
This footnote is pretty heavy on the world-building, and absolutely non-essential if you just take what you read without question. For those who want the details and explanations, however, here we go.
Another hoofnote. I think I'll call them that from now on. You know, in keeping with the whole pony thing.
This is not essential to the story, and can be treated as a footnote. Or a hoofnote. Whatever.
Any energy can be condensed into physical form, given the right conditions. However, this is easiest with heat, giving us phlogiston. Radiation is also fairly easy.
This is a blog post.
A bit about the story:
It's done. I wrote the whole thing already. What I do is reread and edit as I go, and then post whenever I'm satisfied with a chapter. Therefore, there is no worry about me running out of steam halfway through, or writing myself into a corner, or anything like that. I'm not going to make any promises regarding consistency of updates, because life, but I don't think we're looking at month-long waits here.
A bit about the author (that's me):
