Back when I started The Renegades, I wrote it under a T setting and I was bent on keeping it PG-13 in terms of violence and gore. But now I've bumped up the setting to M, I can go full throttle on how grimdark I can make chapters. As such, I've rewritten the fight scene in Episode 1: The Prodigies, and giving you a clearer picture to the kind of monster Howard Stark can become when he's faced with those who would do evil onto others.
I've decided that my first story to the Anthology series will feature Marvel's The Punisher. The Lost Ones will take place some time before the events of The Renegades in New York City where our anti-hero, on the trail of human supremacists, will discover that even ponies can be sick, evil bastards too.
In this story and the stories to come, every twisted son of a bitch will get exactly what is coming to them.
I'm finally finding time to pry myself away from professional writing and back into Renegades. It might take some time due to the length of every episode but I'll do my best to wrap up Season 1 by end of the year. Also, adding and amending the plot is an ongoing process.
I'll get the next episode out by end of the month. It's going to be a violent one.
You heard right, I've wrapped up production on Episode 4: The Vigilante. Currently in the midst of editing and it'll be up sometime soon. In the meantime, I'll be working on Episode 5: The Punisher.
I've been thinking of upping the ante on Renegades, switching from a T rating from a full out Mature. Which means our heroes are about to get a whole lot darker and fights are going to be much more brutal. Anyways, the next episode is almost done, just some final editing before it makes the post. In the meantime, here's a little poster I cooked up for Episode 3: The Brother.
For those who follow The Renegades, I am fairly certain most of you have figured out by now that The Renegades is my original rendition of Marvel's crossover event known as Civil War, and the origins of an Anti-Avengers taking place in a fictional 1950s America. These events will of course lead to my adaptation of Justice League/Avengers which I have planned further in the pipeline.
No he's not. But he is still slow in regards to progress because he's currently undergoing a career change and is in the midst of moving. That being said, I'm halfway through Episode 4, named The Vigilante. Some of you more familiar with the new popular tv series bases on DC comics will be familiar with who our new protag is.
Looks like I'm back into my Renegades mood, and hopefully this time I'll stay long enough for me to finish the season. It's been hanging for way too long, and I think our heroes need to get back into action.
In the meantime, I'm done with Episode 2 of EMPIRE, with a bit of editing, I'll have it up in no time.
The boys are back and they're ready to kick ass in the new episode of the Renegades!
Finally! After 16k words and 33 pages later, I've completed Episode 3. Now to wait for my editor to get back to me before giving it one last edit. Then I'll have it up in a jiffy. For those who are familiar with the Marvel Universe, I'm willing to bet you would've recognized the upcoming protag in the episode from the quote I gave in Episode 2. Frankly, I spent a lot of time trying to get Episode 3 right because I believe this hero in particular needed a kickass intro.
While I should have been working on putting the finishing touches on Episode 3, I've decided to ahead and give the cover art for the The Renegades a kickass facelift. I'm sure most of you DC x Marvel fans would recognize the inspiration behind it.
As you know, I've been away for a very, very long time and I haven't been keeping up with my projects, mainly Renegades. A lot of things have happened over the past year, mainly being transferred back to the city with a big promotion in line. But, a promotion usually means extra hours, a ton of additional work and a whole lot of responsibilities.
Looks like Renegades Episode 3 will be delayed for a bit due to a back to back flu and tons of work to be completed. Job sucks.
Well, Renegades got rejected from EQ Daily with the given reason and I say quote 'All the swearing and violent bloodshed really put me off and made me think that this story isn't the best match with the blog'
Oh well, I kinda expected this. Least said person had the decency to say why instead of resorting to their new 'Yes/No' policy.
