Already had one editor look at it, so just waiting on the other and Flickering Flame: Part Three will be released.

At the story's current pace, Yang's arc should only be around eight chapters or so... Depending. I usually never write chapters longer than 2,000 words, but a single chapter of Remnants averages that and peaks at 3,500. That's new to me. So for all I know, we could be finished by Part Five.

Well, I actually did something right for once. Shocker.

I found an old laptop that I recived for Christmas a few years back, It's kinda shitty, runs at a slower rate than I'd like and the keyboard is really fucking small, but it's better than nothing.

So, it's possible that chapters might be coming at a faster rate than usual. Possibly. It depends, really. But I actually have a laptop now that runs alright. So yay.

I've written about 2,500 words over the weekend, so there might be a new chapter this month after all. Yay!

Though, on the topic of recent developments in the actual show over the last few episodes, I will cover the Maidens arc in the JNPR side story when I release it. There's really no way around it. I'm not really liking the somber tone the last few episodes have given us, but hey, I still loved the episodes themselves.

So, as it turns out, allowing readers access to unpublished stories is against the rules. Go figure.

So, in light of this, there are two other things I could do to get the JNPR side story out to y'all.

1. I publish it on FanFiction.net/Archive Of Our Own, and update it regularly along with Remnants and The Soul's Savior.

2. I just give everyone access to a comment-only Google Document, with the link posted in Remnants' description.

So, I've been thinking about the whole JNPR situation and what to do with them. I'm maintaining that they're only getting one chapter in Remnants, and even then they share the screen time with other characters.

But I do realize that there are some people who do wish to see how JNPR handles the investigations into the White Fang in contrast to RWBY, and I do have an overall plan for how what happens on Remnant is important without actually being seen.

So, I've been thinking.

Thinking about the other part of Remnants: JNPR's part. I recently got a comment, and that comment noted that the JNPR segments... Wouldn't really fit in the overall structure of the story.

Long story short, past this coming chapter, JNPR ain't appearing in Remnants at all.

The next chapter deals with the fallout of RWBY's deaths, and how everyone at Beacon deals with it. Past that, we're not gonna see them for the rest of the story.

I'm thinking about scrapping everything in the prologue except for Applejack's scene, and just leaving it like that. Multiple people have been turned off from the story by the nature of the prologue, so those were potential readers I have lost.

So, working on the revised prologue, and I was wondering...

You see, the prologue gets its name, When It Falls, from Volume 3's opening theme. However, I'm not sure if that tone really fits what I'm going for with the story. When It Falls, the song, has a sort of hopelessness to it, despair and "We can't win this fight", you know? But Remnants, it's not that at all.

Just posted the edited version of Flickering Flame Part One, so that's a thing.

The chapter's mostly the same, only having gone through slight edits, so yeah.

The edited prologue might take a bit longer, so it probably won't go up this weekend. But in the mean time, I am working on the next part of Flickering Flame.

So, I basically scrapped everything past Ruby's death.

Chapter 2's completely edited, so that's still there. But in the new chapter one, almost everything will be different. Team RWBY still dies, but that's beside the point.

So, you'll be getting a brand new and improved chapter one, hopefully on Saturday or Sunday. It depends on how fast I go.

Chapter three won't be released until after The Soul'S Savior gets updated again.

The first two chapters have been looked at by editors, and are a bit more complete. But they're still far from done.

I'll be completely scraping the Neo Vs Yang fight, and will revise Blake and Weiss Vs Torchwick and Mercury. Yang's defeat will make much more sense after the revisions are done- It'll be a three-on-one fight, instead of one-on-one. That's right, Weiss and Blake will actually help out Yang instead of just standing around.
