Hey everypony,
As while I WRITE a lot of pony, I don’t tend to READ a lot of pony. And it’s a slow day at work and my phone’s ebook app is being a butt.
Thus, fanfic. Preferably something light and comic and not a bajillionty words long. So, FO:E is out, as is The Enchanted Library (the latter of which I miiiight get around to reading even if it’s an AU that’s not Rarijack. Ehem).
Before I get into the main topic of this Blog Post, I want talk to those that are still against me on the whole Cozy Glow/Queen Chrysalis situation:
Look, if I was right about Cozy Glow being Queen Chrysalis in Disguise when the Season 8 finale airs in the Fall, then I will say: I TOLD YOU SO!!! If I was wrong, then y'all can back mouth saying I was wrong. (But I highly doubt the latter >:/)
Now on to the Main Topic of this Blog Post:
I’m going to take time off on writing to make up the videos for my September schedule. For the time being, I’m going to be doing fanfic readings on the stories on this website. As of now I recorded two stories.
A Sparkling Transformation by Discord The Narrator
Living In A Van Down By The River by Peni Parker
In case you were unaware, I've released more Dazzling wackiness. You can read it here!
Merry late-Christmas, early New Years everyone!
Viking ZX posted a short op-ed relevant to fanfic:
The Indie Hypocrisy. That's a link to his fimfiction blog, where he just posts a teaser; the full post is here, on a wordpress blog he uses for his non-pony audience.
Hey guys,
Just a quick announcement regarding the future of my fanfics. As some of you may know I added a Google Spreadsheet to my profile to keep track of my fanfics that I'm currently working on. I am happy to announce that I've just updated it slightly so that it is now easier for me to help keep you all updated on the process of my stories the changes are as followed:
Reading by Skijarama! Check it out!
Skijarama, if you’re reading this. Thank you for the fanfic reading!
As a thank you, here’s a little something from me...
Here’s a vector! Hope you like it.
On Monday, I'll release the next two chapters of A Rather Large Adventure. The first is Turning Hearts, dealing with the, uh, turning of hearts from evil to good... and from good to evil. Even more character reunions abound.
The second is called The Corrupted Element. Starlight and Tempest witness a ceremony conducted by the unfeeling and evil High Priest Ajax, but it's interrupted by the most unlikely individual imaginable.
Radiant has awakened an unspeakable ancient evil to bring to her side to take down the scale six and keep her place in power. Spike and the others make new friends and allies as they begin their journey not just to take down Radiant but save their world from destruction.
Hey all! I just got an awesome New Years treat, and I'd love to share it!
User Zachmoviefan did a reading of my story Sweet Apple Secrets.
You can find it here.
After going to bed last night, my mind went into overdrive. Now I have to go back and redo the fight scene! Yay! I actually think it'll be for the better. It'll involved one of the ponies and will give me a reason to work her angle into a chapter. Plus I can fix a piece I forgot about. I'll try to work on that tonight.
Well... yet again, it sounds like I just am not the best when it comes to sticking to a consistent update schedule.
At first, the writing on the chapter seemed to be going well... but then life decided to get in the way, and writing just seemed to decide to slow down far more than I would have liked.
Here you have the synopsis of the next chapter for make the wait more confortable:
So, I've been working more on this sequel than the story I've been wanting to do. I'm having a blast with the way I'm writing this. Funny thing is, because I'm doing this from different views, I don't have a single chapter done. I've been working on the characters with the plan to have everything typed out first before splitting it up into chapters. I've been jumping around with who I've been working on, so some are farther along than others. But I do have a little bit of an idea of the first
Well... first of all, I'm sorry that further updates to Chapters of a Revamped Tome have taken their time to come. Not only have things been a bit busy on my end (no thanks to the fact I work two jobs), but my nerves are pretty much shot too (both thanks to one of my jobs and just the general world situation) so my attempts at writing have been a bit on the unsuccessful end. Add to it that the problematic entry I mentioned before decided to give me trouble again (to the point that I
So... I'm not sure I have the best news to give, as I still don't have enough of the next chapter of Chapters of a Revamped Tome done to have even a tentative release date. If I win the jackpot when it comes to overall writing (as in, an ideal combination of being inspired, having the energy, and having the time) maybe it will be out this weekend, but it would be a very long shot.
Or, to put it in clearer terms... despite my attempts at doing so, I again failed to finish the chapter of Chapters of a Revamped Tome that I would have liked to upload this weekend.
I will say that I did try, and I did manage to make some progress, but I didn’t want to just hash out a mangled rush-job, and this chapter is turning out to be quite a bit more difficult to properly develop than I thought in the first place, so... just a bad combination all around.
I'm sorry.
So... the pace seems to be picking up.
Last night was my most productive writing period in weeks, and while I still didn’t get enough done to wager an update date on anything, I actually managed to make measurable progress. I know Friday will see next to no writing, and Saturday may see little of it either, but I’m feeling optimistic and inspired for the first time in a while.
