Yeah, I hate to say it, folks, but the next Iron Horse chapter's gonna be delayed. There are a few reasons why:
Okay, I'm very much psyched about how impressive the movie looks based on the trailer. Having said that, there's something I have to say after the break. (Mild spoilers for MLP movie trailer and the story if you haven't caught up yet ahead...)
The "Chase" arc was one of the earliest parts of the story I had planned for The Iron Horse, and many of the ideas I had made it into the final version around 2 years later when I finally got around to it. For instance (note that I'll be using spoilers before the break for those who haven't read that far yet and none after the break):
It's back again! My illustrator, Colby "Greenfinger" Green, is doing another stream today at 4:00 pm US Central time in which he takes requests from the chat to draw quick sketches of whatever they ask for! Each sketch will be done in around 10 minutes and won't be in full color, but it will be free!
Just a quick note, folks. Since people seemed to like the deleted scene I posted earlier so much, I decided to add it to the actual story! If you missed it and don't want to go back to the chapter, though, you can still catch it at the blog post here.

The following is a scene from the latest chapter of The Iron Horse, "Television Rules the Nation." This scene expands on the brief scene in the Everfree Forest with the teleportation jump tower being set up by the TechQuestrian personnel under cover of night, but in this version, the Royal Guard spot the tower and investigate.

Hey everyone! Just a quick notification that I updated a few things on “Chase, Part 4,” the latest chapter of The Iron Horse.
For one thing, I added in some references in the author’s notes, including one that nobody picked up on: the song Pinkie’s playing on the AKG-9000 is called “Bronco Rockin’ Beats,” a reference to the song “Block Rockin’ Beats” by the Chemical Brothers.

Chapter 60 - "Chase, Part 3"
Just a quick notice, the next Iron Horse chapter is due to drop either tomorrow or Tuesday.
However, it turns out that there will be a "Chase, Part 4," as I couldn't fit all the different stories into just one chapter. Hopefully, though, you'll only need to wait a week for it! See you then!
Yeah, delays suck, I know. And it especially sucks that this has been the 2nd delay in a row. Well, the last one got delayed due to my grandfather's passing, and on that note, I'd like to thank everyone again for their kind words and patience at that time.
This time around, it was a combination of several factors that bogged me down, including work stuff, health stuff, and nondescript personal stuff. Still, I hate delays and I know y'all do too. Sorry about that. 
In light of the most recent chapter, I thought it might be nice to have some profiles on our favorite robot and her siblings. I've been wanting to do this for a while, but I wanted to wait until... well, if you haven't read the latest chapter, I won't spoil things.
For those of you who have, let's talk about the 00 production line!

Just to let you know, the next Iron Horse chapter should drop either tomorrow or, if the editors need the extra time, Wednesday. I think you'll all enjoy it, especially if you've been craving a little more... action. 
I'll get right to the point: I found out this morning that my grandfather passed away. He was 89 and on the wane, so it was sudden, but not totally unexpected. I'm holding up all right, but I'm making an emergency flight home to be with the family.
Between that, some work stuff I have to take care of, and all the other stuff involved with this sort of thing, there's no way I'll be able to finish this next Iron Horse chapter. It has been worked on, but it's not there yet.
"We're bustin' outta this here techno-joint here, see? An' ya best not be a stool pigeon or I'll have my robot pal here rub ya out!"
"Twilight Sparkle, are you referring to me? If so, I would be glad to give this individual a massage."
"No, Turing, I... (sigh) look, here's the next chapter. Just read it, okay?!"
