I'm happy to announce that I have released two more chapters for "The Power Within." There will be at least two more chapters coming in the future, but they are not done yet. The 9th chapter is about 80% done and I haven't started chapter 10 yet. On top of that, there might even be a bonus chapter with an alternative ending. So... I haven't released any updates or blogs for some time, and the reason for this is complicated. I have been very busy with several things and haven't been able to focus on writing as much as I'd like to. The whole story is being edited by someone and I'm eagerly waiting for the results. After that, I will update the whole story and add two more chapters before I end the story with the final chapter. That's the plan, at least.

Usually, my approach to these kind of updates is very negative, but I tried to retain a positive attitude for once. However, while I browsed the site and checked out the change log, I now have a rather mixed feelings. Like people sometimes say, don’t fix what ain’t broken. 1. I have written most of my stories on my phone. I rarely use the computer to do this, only the final spellchecking happens with a computer.
2. The name Shimmering Thunder came way before the story, The Power Within. I just couldn't come up with any other name, so I used this one.
3. Even though I wrote a coltcuddler story, I'm not a coltcuddler myself.
4. After two years plus, I'm still in the closet with these ponies. Nobody in real life knows about it.

Oh man, I just watched the latest episode and I have to say that it's one of the best episodes on season 6 so far. There was a loud crunch that nearly made Roxy jump out of her skin. Her frantic eyes scanned their surroundings until she saw a tree not too far away snap and fall to the ground. The main area of the dock was full of families, human and Pokémon alike, all waving goodbye to passengers that were on the boat. Roxy only cared about the singular Pikachu at the end of the dock, though. Already the boat was starting to speed up, taking her away from him faster and faster.

So yeah, it's been a few weeks without any updates or anything. I'm sorry. First, I was busy with different things in life and then I got sick. I have been sick over a week now and it's slowly getting better by the day. Nothing too serious, I hope. I'm just so tired...

I haven't been able to work on my stories at all. However, I have given them some thoughts and I might keep the OC story as is and push forward once I conquer these awful diseases.

It's been quite some time now without new chapters, but I think I've finally got it. I'm already writing the 5th chapter, while the chapter 4 is being edited. Hopefully I'll be able to release it within this year. I'm still not sure about the ending, but we'll see once we get that far. It's not that close yet anyway. The amount of chapters should be somewhere around 8 or so, depending on how much I want to to continue the story after the final climax.

I'm finally having some free time to work on my stories again. However, this doesn't automatically mean that the rest of the chapters will come out anytime soon. The chapter 7 is mostly done and I'm working on the next chapter as well, but as I'm getting closer to the end, it may take some more time to wrap things up.
