On a somewhat related note, I'd like to point something out to the folks who have been editing the Flash Fog TV Tropes page. While it's true that the main plotline (i.e., Fluttershy's story) has No Antagonist, the same can not be said for Pencil Pusher's subplot. I'm not sure what TV Tropes protocol is in effect for that scenario, though.

Hmm... it's been a while since my last update, so I might as well bring you up to speed. Chapter 31 is coming along nicely; I'd say it's more than halfway done. Odds are very good that it'll be posted by the end of the month.

I've been busy this evening. First, I've begun work on Chapter 31 of Flash Fog. Second, I did some prewriting for a one-shot that may or may not end up being my tenth story here on FIMFiction. In any case, progress!

Chapter 30 is finished, and it will be posted once my prereaders have had a chance to look it over.

It seems I forgot to mention when I started work on the most recent chapter, as is my usual practice. Rest assured that Chapter 30 is well underway--in fact, it's more than halfway finished at this point.

Screw the common cold; I hunkered down and finished that chapter. It'll be up once my prereaders have a chance to give it a final once-over.

Not the metaphorical kind of sickness where I'm really just annoyed by something to the point of indignation, but the physiological kind. Well, it's taken a while but I finally got all that description behind me. I think you'll like Bon-Bon's bunker (or at the very least, you'll have a decent idea of what it looks like). That means that I have one scene left to complete, and thankfully it's almost entirely dialogue, and I love writing dialogue. Chances are good that the chapter will be posted on FIMFiction by the end of the week.

Progress is being made on the new chapter. Very, very slow progress, but progress nonetheless. Cal Iaponia, whose skills at describing a scene vivid detail are some of the best I've read, tells me that my description of Bon-Bon's bunker is "sketchy," which is actually fine by me, since as a reader, I generally prefer sketchy descriptions to heavily detailed ones. Another milestone passed: Flash Fog just received its 10,000th unique view! This makes it the fourth story I've written that's reached the five-digit mark.

While I've got your attention, I may as well give you an update on the new chapter. At the moment, it's roughly halfway done, which means there a good chance it will be finished by mid-week.

For the first time in over a year, I finished a chapter of Flash Fog, and I didn't have a second story to immediately switch to. It's an odd feeling, really.
