I know I already covered a lot of your concerns and questions with my comments, so I'm going to refrain from going back over that too much, but I have some more things to say about this arc and where the story's headed, now that I've planned it all out in greater detail.
So, that's another deadline missed. Wonderful. The reason for the delay this time is that my life suddenly got a hell of a lot busier last week, to the degree that it's taken me this long to find five minutes to update you all on it.
The plan was to have the new chapter of Collapse Collide done sometime between last Friday and today, but unfortunately I ran into a bit of a problem and have not been able to write since last Friday. I'm back now, and the new plan is to upload this Thursday, the old update day (or sooner, if it's done) and hopefully get back in the swing of doing weekly updates.
It's been a while without an update, so I thought I owed you some details on what's been happening with the story, as well as what's going to be happening in the near future.
I'm aware it has been some time since I last posted anything on this site, be it story chapters or blog posts, and that I have not delivered on my promises of new chapters - for that, I am deeply sorry. Recent days have not been easy ones, especially in regards to college and my future prospects, and, as a result of stress and my admittedly rather procrastinating nature, I have not found the motivation to write much of anything lately.
Right, so first of all, the next chapter is almost finished: at the time of writing, it's a little over 4k words, with just one more scene to write before I'll edit and publish the chapter.
Sorry to once again be the bearer of bad news, but the chapter isn't close enough to being finished for me to have it uploaded tomorrow. It's coming along nicely, just not as quick as I'd hoped.
New estimate for an upload is Sunday, but hopefully it won't take quite as long as that.

It's been surprisingly difficult keeping momentum going on my stories after my long hiatus due to exams, and that has stopped me from keeping to my old schedule of a chapter every Thursday so far. That being so, I have been finding it easier on this chapter than I did on the last one, so I am hopeful that I'll be back in the saddle, so to speak, before too long.
About next chapter: I've been thinking, and whilst most of the chapters have been between 3000 and 4000 words in the main part of the story, I'm feeling that a return to the 2500-ish word chapter lengths I started the story with would be a good way for me to tie the last loose ends from the Hospital Arc up before I move on into the next arc, the Cutie Mark Calamity Arc.
It's been a while since I last wrote anything on this site to do with Collapse Collide, and I owe you all a serious explanation of where I've been, what I've been doing and what'll be happening in the near future.
So, recently I've been taking a bit of a break from working on Collapse Collide so that I could step back and take a good look at the story so far before continuing on the path to where I want it to go.
Just to make things clear, this break is not over yet. I still have details to work out and scenes to draft, and that will take a while longer to get through, although I endeavour to return to work as soon as I can.
I'm sorry that I didn't post earlier than this, but I owe you an explanation for the lack of updates for Collapse, Collide, and late is supposedly better than never. I've been finding it difficult to write the next chapter, especially after the stop-start process of writing the beginning of it, and to be honest I've been taking a break from it completely for the last week or so. There's just so much to work out about how the chapter should go this time around that it's difficult to make any
So you've probably noticed the glaring lack of a new chapter. The reason for this is that it just isn't finished yet, in fact it's not even a third of the way done as it is, despite my best efforts to continue it onwards. I think the chaos of the last week has done a lot to shake me out of the zone I was in when first writing the chapter, and considering its current state it might be best just to start fresh with a new attempt instead of trying to rekindle the spark of what I've got at the
MY INTERNET IS BACK! 
So my home internet has died. I'm now only able to write when the appallingly bad mobile reception in my area lets me access FimFic or when I use my college WiFi.
This, as you may have guessed, is a complete and utter pain in the ass, even more so than losing my PC. I'm working when I can, but only being able to access the site half the time (and even then waiting five minutes for the page to load) has really put a spanner in the works.
Yep, another 'Chapter X Is Delayed' post. There are three main reasons for this:
1: I have had so much work this week that I've had maybe three hours in which to work on the next chapter and the next for my other story.
2: My computer died on Thursday and is getting repaired at the moment. That was my best means of using FimFic, so that has really screwed things up. Been writing everything digitally so no chapter lost, but it's going to be tough continuing without it.
Been a little behind with the next chapter since I only started writing the current version on Monday, so no update today. Hopefully it will be done soon enough, but it'll be a little while longer yet. Sorry for the wait, I've just had a really busy week and all my writing has slowed down as a result, but it will be done soon.
I realise that I've already posted once about this story today, in actual fact less than ten minutes before I started writing this one, but I have something a little different I wanted to bring to the metaphorical table. Collapse, Collide is nearing its final arc now, and it's gotten me thinking about what else to do with the characters and storyline afterwards.
I can't believe I'm writing another one of these so soon, but here I am, doing just that. I've been having a little trouble getting back into the school setting after so long away from it, and have decided to re-plan what I'm going to have happen in the chapter past the intro, which is done and I'm quite pleased with.
I've been in the hospital today, having an operation done, and I'm still dealing with the anaesthetic so I've not been able to write as much as I wanted to today.
