I have finished the final chapter of Anypony for Doomsday, even though it's only being tracked by three of you. Eh.
I have not, however, finished any of the content in the middle. I'm having a lot of fun with it, though, so while I make no promises, let's see if we can't have another chapter ready by the weekend.
First chapter of my new story, "The Flame" is complete and has about 1,650 words. It is inspired by the chimera scene in the episode "Somepony to Watch Over Me" and is about a chimera in the Everfree Forest. I am considering having two different rated versions of this story and would also appreciate an editor before I publish it. If you are interested in filling the editor role and think you could do a good job, message me and I will give you the password.
This is absolutely self-indulgent, but I'm absolutely stoked looking at these. I try really, really hard at this 'personal growth' and 'self improvement' thing, and sometimes that's really hard. And sometimes I don't know if I'm really getting to where I want to be, or if I stalled out, or what. And a lot of the time it just means remembering things I did in the past with a new awareness of how much I wouldn't be that person now, and that's... honestly really painful to live with sometimes.
I shall soon detail my progress on writing that story I've been trying to release, what it's name is, and a bunch of other stuff.
PS virtual keyboards SUCK and I hate them so much!
Finally, the month of spooks and scares is here for our enjoyment! Not a moment too soon, since I felt this has been a pretty dismal year, for quite a few reasons.
Here's hoping that the autumn atmosphere and anticipation for the 31st will kick my dumbass into proper gear and have me produce something worthwhile. I do have ideas and things set up to be finally fleshed out and written down, but it really comes down to me to, in the words of Shia LaBeouf, "Just do it!" (old memes, lol)
So how's it coming along? Chapter nine, so far, is five thousand words strong. Most of the chapters we've published thus far were usually finished, but they required loads of changes. Now is the first time we have an actually chapter that we're just writing out. It's not finished which is a scary thought indeed. To make matters worse, I'll be gone at San Diego Comic Con for about the whole week.
In one month I will be removing the outdated chapters of this story in order to properly present the current continuity. Some chapters WILL be reappearing later on, but this is the only warning you have to download what's there now if you want to save it for yourself.
Hello internet.
Welcome to the blog. A fanfic blog. ...Ok, that’s good enough.
So far this week, Ch. 7 ‘Snow Day’ is coming along nicely. Nothing much else to report really.
Except for the question - Does eating pizza cause lucid dreams? Because man! Did I have some weird yu-gi-oh style card battle dream last night - but the players dualed by drawing on paper for a judge who’d decide the winner by a loose set of rules. Weird! And interesting!
I've started the next chapter fic for my little SunLight Homecoming continuity. There are going to be some timeskips, but I'll try to limit them to a few days at most. We're going to start off with a dinner and maybe end with a wedding or more.
We'll see what those two girls demand of me this time.
It took me since mid-January, which is not bad, considering all the time I spent not working on it, but my latest story, The Unicorn and the Stranger, has been sent off for proofreading. I wasn't sure I would finish it tonight, given the state of my hand which is probably not broken (but I'm not taking any chances!), but I did.
Hello everyone. I know it's late, but I decided to write an update here about A Tale of Two Suns. I know it's been a long time but I can tell you that I've made a lot of progress on the story. Things have been a little busy. More renovations, which was a pain (and they're still not done, @___@). I saw Wonder Woman, which was awesome!
Good morning everyone! I'm still alive, still writing, and still have things in the pipe. Updates on three stories and their progress.
Yup, as the title says I have gone back to work from my month off. (Heavy industry vacations yeah boiiiiii)
So this means writing is gonna take a back seat until I get back into rythm. The new chapter has starting to take form but it is very slow.
I am soon gonna be back to writing again.. Have not had much time to write lately, but i am making progress slowly but surely.
Not sure why, but it seems the more tired, and used i am, the faster i write.. If i can find the time to write that is.. But it also seems quality drops when i do that.. Or rather more people write comments about spelling mistakes, and grammar errors.
I'm down in Georgia getting ready to head out to a family reunion with my brother, my sister in law, my two nephews, my dad, my step-mom, my step-siblings, My grandparents and my Uncle, Aunt and Cousins from England. We're heading down to the beach for a week of stormy weather and staying in a beach house. I know it sounded better before I saw the forecast. Anyway, the good news is over the last week, I've made tremendous progress on the latest chapter and if all goes well, It should be
Apologies for not getting the first chapter out! I DO have it planned out, but I havent had the energy to sit down and write because I had to work overnight shifts at work without warning. But my daily routine is back to normal, so I shouldn't have any problems finding time to write.
As my writing skills are still quite terrible, I can't really estimate how much longer the chapter will take as I tend to rewrite things a lot.
Yes, I know I missed March, I'm sorry. So, I'll be covering two months this time.
First, my numbers for March:
8721 words for Friendship Rising
1023 words for The Sunset Also Rises: Holiday Specials
1016 words for The Love for Family, A oneshot set in Rose Quill's Homecoming Universe.
And that's all, totaling and 10760 words for March. A little over 10k words. So, less than half of February's count.
Now, this month, April:
3827 for Friendship Rising
This story has not been hard to write, but it hasn't been easy either.
Particularly since I've made several revisions as I've gone along, sometimes throwing out whole passages because they no longer work. But I think I'm ending up with a much stronger story because of it. I'm trying to finish one chapter a day, and I think I'm about at the point where that will no longer be feasible, but also where it won't matter because I'm actually almost finished.
It won't be much longer.
This is just a note to anyone following my story, The Prince of Griffonstone. It's been over a week and I'm still working on the next chapter; the rough draft is about 80% done. To be honest, this story has evolved. It was originally supposed to be a one shot, romantic comedy and somewhere along the line became a detailed story about Griffonstone. Even my chapter based stories are usually 100% done in my head but we're in uncharted territory now and I'm writing this one in real time, which is
