Inspirations · 4:36am Jul 1st, 2016

So I got stuck writing the last chapter due to wanting to show more scenes of Shiny and Cadance on a normal date but with the complications presented by her being a now well known member of royalty being followed around by Ponyrazzi. Let's see which pieces of research have inspired me the most the past few weeks....

The question of my life.... · 4:27pm Jan 10th, 2017

Is there a limit on how many people you can follow? Cus if there is, that really sucks...
But anyway, I hope your day is fantastic and wonderful, just like you are!

Screw It · 3:15am Oct 11th, 2015

Look I'm not too much of a writer and I don't focus on my writings. However the people that have updated regularly before either continue or let people know what's happening. Don't leave them in suspense of when things are going to get back in gear. Tell your fans, because almost everyone has at least one fan when it comes to their writings, that you won't be able to update for a while because stress, chaos, work, depression, whatever. If you literally can't, coma or something, then when

Soundtracks Inspiring ATF [Potential Spoilers If You Aren't up to Date] · 2:05am Apr 16th, 2016

Just thought I'd spend my revision break compiling a list of the soundtracks I use for inspiration when writing ATF, as much for you guys as myself (I forget the names of these more often than I'd care to admit). I'll leave a brief summary of what type of scene I associate with each given theme above the videos (whether I've actually written such a scene, or whether I've just imagined it; I'll post either way).

New Story in the works! · 5:59pm Apr 10th, 2016

Have any if you ever had a bolt of inspiration hit you so fast and so hard that it nearly knocks you off your feet? Well, that happened to me last night while listening to the Alicornae EP by Jyc Row (which is amazing), and in the hour and a half that followed I plotted out a whole new story with two new OCs and wrote nearly 2,000 words of the first chapter. Once I get the first chapter done (which may be as much as 3,000-4,000 words)

On the importance of a good translation · 11:22pm Jun 24th, 2015

Found an interesting article about the infamous (now outdated) Swedish translation of The Lord of the Rings series.

"Lord of the Errors or, Who Really Killed the Witch-King?"

The punchline is what book(s) was my first ever exposure to fantasy. Yes, ever-ever. Like, first book series I actually realized was part of a bigger whole and borrowed them all, ever. :ajsleepy:

Why Fimfiction? · 2:36am Jan 21st, 2016

I've been asking myself this question a lot lately.

When I joined this website almost six months ago, I had just days earlier created an account of Fanfiction.net. I had an MLP fan novel in the works, but until then I had figured it would be redundant to join Fimfiction.net when Fanfiction had such a wide variety of fandoms, including MLP.

On Inspiration and Being Incredible · 7:08pm Jun 7th, 2018

WARNING: This post may get sappy and/or philosophical. Prepare yourselves accordingly before reading it.

Have you ever really thought about why you write? Not why you write now, but why you chose to do so way back when you started? Did the loved ones in your life always compliment you on your writing, or was it a skill that came later in life? To put it concisely, what made you want to write in the first place, possibly even before MLP was a blip in your eye?

A little pick me up for everyone out there. · 6:37pm Jun 6th, 2015

I've made a bunch of study cards with tips/phrases/quotes I've picked up over the past year. I used to read a few every morning as a pick me up and for a boost of motivation. I should really get back into the habit of reading these again.

Here are a few of my favorites.

"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit." -Aristotle

"How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world." -Anne Frank

Quotes For You! · 12:44am Dec 5th, 2015

I have a bunch of little word cards on which I wrote a bunch of quotes I collected from self help books I've read over the past two years.

Here's some for you:

"There is one quality that one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants and a burning desire to achieve it." -Napoleon Hill

"Planning is bringing the future into the present so you can do something about it now." -Alan Lakein

BASS DROOOOOOOOOP! · 6:52am Nov 14th, 2017

On top of having a built in functional radio, I somehow managed to forget just how amazing the audio quality on my old phone is when coupled with a decent pair of headphones.

Can you say AUTO BASS BOOSTED SURROUND SOUND?!

don't mind me while I proceed to kill it's aging battery with my playlists.

"What A Wonderful World" (originally by Louis Armstrong) · 9:27pm Jan 3rd, 2016

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself, "What a wonderful world"
I see skies of blue, clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself, "What a wonderful world"

The clouds of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Also on the faces of people passin' by
I see friends shakin' hands
Sayin', "How do you do?"
They are really sayin', "I love you"

I hear babies cry and I watch them grow

Trying to get both feet on the ground · 7:20pm Aug 28th, 2018

Personal trauma recently led me to delete my old account. This cost me my major work, numerous friends, several stories I was in the process of writing.

Now I am trying to move house, yet again.

I may have a new job lined up, which would be nice.

In the meantime, I need story inspiration.

Okay so for the Past 2-ish Hours I've been on a Writing high! · 10:31pm Aug 1st, 2018

Got a whole chapter of one story (that's on Wattpad) done. Got half a chapter of another story (again, Wattpad only) revised. Started writing that story from that previous blog. That won't be here until December though. Plus I started up a Poetry book! All within 2-ish hours! Wow I'm on fire today! Add on to the fact that I am practically beaming at the fact that today's my youngest niece's 1st birthday and well....I'm uber

Transparent Living Ch 39: Alone · 10:05pm Nov 14th, 2020

No Music file, but something I found that might give the feel of what I was trying to capture. Unfortunately, I don't know how to embed and pic on fimfic, so I have just url:

I’m not sure if it worked, but the assumption is that the chapter caught you off guard. Now, it obviously had repercussions. Think of how Coco feels about such a subject. So, I found the perfect art to convey the feeling of this chapter.

Have a quote! · 3:50pm June 1st

Stephen Leacock once said the following,

"...To write something out of one's own mind, worth reading for it's own sake, is an arduous contrivance, only to be achieved in fortunate moments, few and far between.

Personally, I would rather have written Alice in Wonderland than the whole of the Encyclopedia Britannica."
