Yep, released a second chapter on the day for the second day in a row for Pandemic: What you are Meant to Be. Luna's come a calling about Sunset Blessing and has her own insights.
Okay not even sure how but a third of the chapter vanished after I published it. T was initially there and then a few minutes later a third of it and title were gone. So going to have to rewrite the chapter and republish it later today. Really wasn't up to that but looks like that's the way it's going to go.
So hitting an unusual snag. Getting to the point where I am literally running out of ideas of what to name chapters. Writing the chapter isn't hard, naming it is getting increasingly difficult after 55 chapters on the same story. Anyone have any tips for keeping naming chapters fresh? Assuming you have been naming them the whole time and can't just drop the naming convention at this point?
Well, place I am working at decided today that it is going to shut down and move operations to the Dominican Republic come November. 630 people are going to be losing their jobs. It just makes economic sense for them. They basically get rewarded for shuttering our location and laying people off as "business losses" and they can operate at a fraction of the cost in DR. Got to love Trumpenomics, its all about businesses making more money, not keeping people employed.
After getting fussed at by various people about not being social enough I'm going to be winding down on the writing after this week. Hoping to finish up Pandemic: What you are Meant Be by Saturday with the possible exception of the epilogue. Ponies of Ocid should keep with once a week update after that. I've got to admit isolation is getting to me; I'm constantly grumpy, drive to get anything done is low, and struggling to get through day to day tasks sometimes.
Taking a pause from chapter releases today to just have a day of downtime. Went by the local game stop and picked up a few used PS3 games and just going to break up routine for today playing them. Have to bridge the gap between what happens in the current chapter I'm writing and what I want happening in two chapters and will be sleeping on that.
Since I got chapter out early today doing a little tidying up of earlier chapters. Breaking up some dialogue, adding contractions, that kind of thing. Just went through chapter 10:Ponies Behaving Badly and gave a little more insight into Sunset Blessing's character (just a little) and broke up some of her larger dialogue spouts in that chapter. Will be looking over some other chapters here and there today.
Working away on the new chapter. Work today is kind of dampening my mood as it is just a perfect storm of crap between natural disaster, holiday weekend, and clueless idiots. Dealt with 63 calls so far today and still have 3 hours to go. Really not in the mood for 100 calls of of this crap.
As the title says. I'm exhausted. I've about 1000 words of the current Pandemic chapter written down and have been tossing around some ideas for some stuff that will come up in later chapters and how to effectively work those. In the meantime I'm staring still at the same 1000 words because I'm overtired and while my brain isn't off, it's in the completely wrong part of the story. Going to get some sleep since I've been up 20 hours and it should shift into gear early hours of the morning when I
Still getting regular updates going on Pandemic:What you are Meant to Be and not stopping on those. Some chapters will be shorter, some longer. Trying to just let content flow rather than force particular minimum word counts per chapter. I have a general timeline planned out, but the more I look at how much time I have to cover it gets a little daunting not to have it go stale, hence you see a strong slice of life element going on as well. These are the normal everyday ponies after all.
