While I remain cautiously optimistic regarding the next chapter for A Mad Pony in a Box, I'm pleased to say that most of the work is done on the next two Vignettes. One might go up in August, while the other is definitely going out on Halloween.

Meanwhile, I'm glad that I have vacation time coming next week. Lots to do, and the more time I have off from work to do it, the better.

Don't let the numbering confuse you, you haven't missed anything. Circumstances have just forced me to skip ahead a little is all.

Let me start this off by saying that I don't hate Babs in the slightest. Her appearances post-One Bad Apple in both the show and the comics have tended to be pretty good when they aren't just silent cameos, and I honestly wish that we'd see more of her. Alas, I get the feeling that the response to her first appearance being what it was kinda screwed her over.

And that is in no way a shocker.

I accept that MLP:FiM is, at its heart, a toy commercial. In general, however, efforts to advertise for the toys have been subtle - what could be organically worked into the show was organically worked into the show. As a result, we got appearances by a hot air balloon, a swan boat, and even a pedal-powered helicopter.

I've managed to rewrite the planned Vignette for this month. It's not exactly what I'd originally written, though the general gist of it is there, and I'm pleased with the differences. Fingers crossed that it's up within the next couple days.

Okay folks, I'm gonna go ahead and set these release dates for this year. I'm not firm on anything else - my new job is going to take up a lot of my time, but hopefully, I'll be able to lessen pressure in other areas.

May 5 will see the release of the next Vignette. It's written and absolutely certain.

June 15 will see either the release of another Vignette, or the first chapter to Scars of the Sun.

I'm happy to say that I've almost got the timeline for the Quiververse finished...at least, up until the events of A Mad Pony in a Box. I've got rough thoughts in mind for beyond that, but I'll be hammering those down as I get to those particular stories. The only things left to be incorporated into it from what's been established so far are some of the expanded universe materials.
