So, here I lay at 12:34 a.m. because I can't sleep. I figure now is a good time to explain* why I haven't released any uplates for FUTCT layely. (Pardon the typos, if any, I'm using phone again. )
Well, it's like 28F outside but I'm in a good mood regardless.
I've got my whole house to myself until this late this afternoon and I finally have some time to write again. (I know, I know. I'm using some of that here, but that's not the point.) I mentioned awhile back that I have a tendency to re-write things and well, I did for the last chapter I released.
[Title, somewhat, related.]
Firstly: Depression fucking sucks.
For any who may care, I apologize for not updating my work(s?) in awhile. Truth is, life's got me so down as of late that I find getting up for my midday college classes to be a near impossibility.
With a holiday like Halloween celebrating morbid humor and the like, I figure I should change my avatar to a more . . . appropriate(?) one.
For those of you who've read From Under The Cork Tree, you now know why the I chose that chapter name.
This is the blog in which I will link to a video for every song name I've used for a chapter title. The list will be updated every so often.
Head below the break for the list of songs.
*Edited down to links. It makes things easier on all of us.
The newest chapter of From Under The Cork Tree should be out hopefully before the end of the week. As it stands I just need to have an editor look over the final chunk of it that I rewrote upon returning from a vacation last week. Also: I went on a vacation last week.
I'm currently failing at it. There's not much more to say about it because I still don't have a job nor any major plans for next fall other than going to a community college.
In other news: Anyone want help me edit / be my official idea bouncing off of person? Seriously, I feel I could benefit from having someone help me with this and I thought I'd ask the community.
Well . . . We were having a nice (relatively) calm spring where I live, but I suppose nature abhors a vacuum. Before anyone says it: I know I just made a joke at this, but trust me. This time it's relevant.
"I woke last night to the sound of thunder. How far off, I sat and wondered. I started hummin' a song from 1962. Strange how the night moves . . . " - Night Moves,by Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band.
Man, you've got to love spring in the Midwest. I mean really, who doesn't love the soothing sounds of pouring rain and distant thunder? I'm being dead serious though, I quite love the storms around here. When they're calm anyways.
I guess I should show you all what I look like since I've been on here for so long so here goes nothing:
I'm the guy with darker hair.
And while we're at it, here's one of my car:
It's a nice day to, start again.
Okay first off, I feel like an idiot. I've spent the last two days trying to figure out why I couldn't get any chapter to save past a certain point, only to realize the culprit was this:
Edit: *facepalm* I'm real bright aren't I? It was a symbol with three music notes I'd been using on the Gdoc version, apparently it wont save at all on the sight and anything after it is deleted.
I can't even post chapter updates . . .
After just doing so, I went back and found half of all of them missing and couldn't find a reason for why . . .
Yup I figured it was about time I'd changed my name.
Nothing more to say about it.
I like to tag stories too much, don't I?
Well, I’m not normally one to ask for help but I’d like to know if anyone out there knows, or is, an editor. As stated in an earlier blog post, I’ve decided to redo the first chapters of From Under The Cork Tree. Before anyone asks, it’s because I feel I could write them better than I originally had. That being said, my original editor and I agreed that a new set of eyes would help me find any problems, either grammatical or story-wise. If anyone wants to help out, simply send me a
All I can say/write about the past two weeks would be: Fuck. My. Life. No, seriously, fuck it hard.
Happy holidays to those who follow me (and everyone else too, i guess).
At the time of writing this I'll have just posted the fourth chapter of From Under The Cork Tree.
Think of it as an early Christmas (or whatever holiday you may celebrate) present to you.
I'll be taking a break from writing publishing over the holidays, but will continue after new years.
Also:
So I've gotten a few chapters of From Under The Cork Tree posted and I'm wondering: Is anyone willing to draw some art for the cover of it? I'd commission it if I had the money, but I don't unfortunately.
Also: I've asked a few people, but they either decided not to, or never replied back . . .
I don't want to say something beautiful because to some it won't be, but the first chapter of From Under The Cork Tree is now up and ready to be read by all who wish to do so.
