Okay, so I might have fallen off of the face of the pony fandom in the last couple months, but I'll be at Everfree Northwest all three days this weekend! Hope to see you guys there!
Hi, folks!
In case you haven't heard, you can write an episode script and get it read by the professional voice actors from the show at Everfree Northwest this year! You'll even get script notes from show writer Nicole Dubuc!
Ah, the final day of my first convention, and it was the most chill. Not even going in chronological order here, but given I decided to skip out on the unveiling of the winner of the Iron Author contest—I basically just decided to sleep late—I spent some time just playing some games in the electronics room, mostly Rock Band. I bounced from there and went down to catch Ashleigh Ball's autograph, as well as Ryan Beil's (Zephyr Breeze) and Richard Newman's (who aside from voicing Cranky Doodle,
I had three judges tell me they really liked my scribblefest entry, and one said it came close to winning something. But no dice. Oh, well. At least it finally got me to write a premise I'd been holding onto for a couple years.
Well, today was a lot more manageable. I ended up needing to stream today's episode this morning, which wasn't that bad. I then kind of dragged out the morning before I actually went downstairs and had breakfast around 11...
A while ago, ajvasquezbrony28, who put together an excellent full-cast audio production of Cleave, has arranged a rather unique offering for Everfree Northwest's charity auction: a physical copy of the cover autographed by himself, VAs Darkhorse KC and Lotus Moon, Novel Idea, and myself!
Here's AJ's announcement:
Well, for my first pony con, this was a pretty packed day. That's my own fault. I did the same thing at NYCC—I tried to cram everything into one day while COMPLETELY forgetting that I have another TWO DAYS to do stuff.
Hi, Everfree Northwest is right around the corner, and I will be there! (barring any changes in the pandemic situation ) This will be my first time running a pony panel, so I'm both really nervous and excited! I hope you all at EFNW can come!
Everfree Northwest’s annual writing contest, Scribblefest, was this year changed to SCRIPTFest with a unique challenge to our contestants to write a show-worthy episode script. The winning entry will be read live, on stage, by the show actors who voice the Student Six, Tirek, and Cozy Glow! As you can imagine, this was a difficult contest to judge, and we thank everyone who entered. Writing a script can be a real challenge compared to prose, and though it may be a cliche to say it, you’re all
As the title says, the deadline to submit an entry for our SCRIPTFest contest has been extended to 11:59PM PST, January 31st.

“Celestia buys cake at 1am.” Can we turn this into an exciting story? In this interactive MLP writing workshop, we will learn how to make action-packed slice-of-life stories out of everyday events like these. No writing experience needed. Stationery is provided, but feel free to bring your own.
As a reminder, I’m at Everfree Northwest and thus this week’s card blog will be delayed. Here are some snippets of the con thus far to tide you over:
A little late on getting the word out this year, but I just wanted to let you all know, I'll be there!
Mostly gonna be hanging around the writer track, doing writer things. Also will be doing at least one panel, on how to be a Dungeon Master (it was my roommate's panel idea, and I said I'd help with it, since I've DM'd before for a solid year-long campaign and got pretty good at it). Might also jump in on helping with other writing track panels if they need people, don't know yet.
Hello, RariTwiers!
Before I say what I came to say, this blogpost isn’t about me coming back, sadly. I’ve been doing really well on my little website, and even though I’ve been in hiatus because of IRL stuff, I’m finally at a place to get back into writing and will be posting new content over there soon.
So, I’m doing well!
I survived another con. But as much as I'm glad to be back home and in my own bed to recover; it still feels like it was over far too soon.
Was so great to see so many ponies I already knew, and meet some new ones. Even managed to buckle down and submit a (really really terrible and unfinished) story for Iron Author this year. Even got a couple tshirts signed (Nicole Oliver and Andrea Libman).
Let's start with the bad :
Now, the positive.
I’ll be at Everfree Northwest this weekend, working in the electronic gaming room. If any of y’all are there, feel free to say hi.
Polishing up a fic right now, a sequel that is very dumb and fun. Also, might have something else planned later. And I swear, I am working on that giant YonaBar fic.
