It’s been a little while since my last blog, and as some may have noticed from the notice on my profile page, that’s because most of my free time is being taken up with preparing for my impending move to a new house. Most of this post was written at least a week ago, which might make a few of these (the featured ones, in particular) a bit dated.

So, here we are again. I’m not quite settled in at the new place, but I have found some time for reading here and there (mostly at work because my job is awesome that way) and that means reviews have piled up.
Welcome back to the Badfic Slaughterhouse, wherein I share my suffering with you fine folks. While there are some good stories in the mix, the badfic grinder will be getting a hell of a workout today.
Two months in the making

I've seen the phrase "Don't read it if you don't like it!" written on quite a lot of fanfictions lately. Granted, I've been seeking out the truly awful ones (sorting the chaff from the wheat, as it were) for my personal collection, so that might explain why I've seen so much of it. Read on for my thoughts.

So some of you have been wondering what happened to me? The short of it is that I’ve spent most of the summer in crippling pain. Several months, four doctors, a pile of medical bills, and a boatload of stress and anxiety later, I’m back to normal. With luck, it’ll stay that way.
And no, I’m not going to talk about it any further.
