“Sure, what is it?”
“Well... let’s say you were having an argument with someone, and they come up to me and ask me something about Pocky Sticks. And as soon as I answer that question, they turn to you and say that I ‘thought you were a waste of space’... would you believe them?”
“What? No, of course not! That would be ridiculous. Why?”
Bezier had never felt so dehydrated in her life.
She was currently walking down the streets on a dry, dry, Saturday night. It would’ve been a miracle if it had started raining right now.
Bezier looked up to see if she had jinxed it; unfortunately, she didn’t, so she just kept walking.
She stopped as soon as she came across a familiar cyan changeling sitting alone under a streetlight. Perhaps he could lend her a drink or two. Hopefully three. She was just that thirsty.
“Hey, Bez...?”
“Hm?”
“Have you ever been mistaken for a man?”
“Sometimes...” *She smirks at him.* “Have you?”
*Pharynx’s eyes widened and he glared at Bez, who smirked back, before hurling a pillow at her. Hard.*
“...Ow.”
“Ngh... Lavender... Lavender...”
Bezier heard a faint voice muttering from the bedroom she was just walking past. She looked into the entrance, seeing a familiar red changeling tossing and turning.
What’s he doing? Is he having a nightmare? she thought. Should I go help him? Or just let the Queen deal with it?
She blinked as soon as she heard Hive sniffling, sighing and walking in. Oh, what the heck? I’ll just do it.
“So... what are you going to do?”
“I dunno, man... but I can’t stand seeing my best friend suffer like this. I mean, he’s been fired, homeless, his girlfriend’s also homeless, and now Starlight’s kicked him of the School of Friendship for a crime he didn’t commit...”
“I swear, I’m going to have a serious talk with Starlight about it.”
“Is that acrylic paint you’re using right now?”
“I was gonna use watercolor, but yeah, this is what I went with.”
“I’m honestly glad you didn’t choose watercolor. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it looks nice, but it can be harder to get a professional grasp on, especially when it comes to controlling the water itself, since it is incredibly runny and—”
“Say, Pharynx. We haven’t spoken to the others in quite a while. You think we should finally go talk to them?”
“...” *giggling*
*snicker*
*insert both laughing here.*
Bezier sighed heavily as she continued her way down the street. However, she stopped when a familiar colt caught her eye. Not just any colt, but it was one of the triplets.
Paul.
Bezier bit her lip, just remembering the last time she ever interacted with him.
Hivehunter sighed heavily, leaving his weapons next to the door of his bedroom.
Another day, another long session of both working out and shooting arrows. And boy was he ready for a good night’s sleep, for once. As soon as he was just about to head towards his bed, however, he felt an aura wrap around him, pulling him right into the bed making him yelp in surprise.
He calmed down, fortunately, when he saw who was in the bed.
It was only a day before he would be released from the hospital; Pharynx obviously wasn’t too happy at the moment to even think about it.
Not in the slightest.
He kept his head buried in his pillow when he heard the door opening.
“Pharynx? It’s me, Bez... again.“ The changeling walked up to him. “...Pharynx?”
After a few moments, the male changeling turned to face her; he had obviously looked like he had been crying for a while... not that he still wasn’t crying now.
Bezier sat on her bed, mumbling about something in a deadpan manner.
“Hey, Bezzy?”
“Hm?” She turned around to see one of her non-reformed changeling friends. “Oh... hey.”
“Let me guess... something’s up.” Cryonix cautiously trotted over and sat next to her.
“...It’s nothing. Well, actually, it’s something, but...”
“Well, what is it?”
“Sheesh, Bezzy... what was that all about?”
“You heard what happened back there. Ocellus blamed Oculus for something he had nothing to do with. I’m just so... pissed at her for it!”
“Look, I was as mad as you are when I found out, but it was just a mistake.”
“It was cherry chapstick, Pharynx!”
“...”
*sigh*
“Ew, what are you wearing? A tuxedo with a skirt?”
“Whaaaat? It’s better than renting some gaudy and expensive ballgown!”
“Whatever. Who’s that chocolate for? And why do you have three of them?”
“Well, these are for my three special changelings. Pharynx, Hivehunter, and Heath.”
“What, couldn’t you have chosen one of them, four-eyes?”
Takes place directly after this.
*Bezier stares in shock at the black screen of the phone, then looks up at Pharynx.*“How... how could you?!”
“Me? I was doing you a favor!”
“What favor?!”
“Well, what else was I supposed to do about that idiot—”
“This is my sister.”
“This is my brother.”
“We are siblings and we care for each other.”
“Everything we own.”
“We always share.”
“Because we are siblings and we have the same hair.”
“…hEY WAIT A MINUTE—”
“Yeah, you should’ve seen his face when that happened. It was almost like he—” Bezier cut herself off when she saw a familiar changeling sitting at a faraway table all by herself.
Today isn’t a good day for Ramirez, even though she had gotten over it a long time ago she couldn’t help missing her parents alot. She now had her head laid across the table with her earbuds in.
I’m now starting to imagine that Bez and Hero have a brother-sister dynamic.
“Hey, boys, what’s taking you so—what the?” Bezier froze as soon as she saw the male changeling floating on his back in the vat of Sparkle-Cola. “...what’s Hero doing?”
“Nevermind that, Bezzy, just get him outta there.”
*seductively takes off glasses* “Wow... “
.//////. “...what?”
“You're really blurry.”
“So, Ramirez, you haven’t met Pharynx yet?”
“Honestly, no, I haven’t.”
“Ramirez is your name, eh? Heh, Dad told me about you a few times. Though I honestly expected you to be… taller.” *he snickered.*
“…Seriously?” -.-‘
“You’re certainly one to talk, Pharynx, considering how you’re at least a foot shorter than your own younger brother.”
