Boop!
I am back from a vacation I took over the previous week, and I thought I'd give you the super briefest update on "On Common Ground," the second sequel to When You Least Expect It.
Stream was kill. Sorry folks, next Friday when people aren't having serious problems with tech and life. It's just not going to happen today.
But on another note...
Er...wow...thanks...
Heyo, one and all!
Just a quick status update to let you all know that I actually wrote a new story! Hoorah! It primarily features Spike, Trixie, Berry Punch and Cadance (quite the cast, huh?) and it’s a lot of fun. Read it if you want to!
So here's a bunch of stuff, in no particular order.
First off, Crystal Wishes posted a blog about sharing a smile. You're supposed to say who you got it from, and I got it from Bad Horse but I'm not sure I want to admit that to anyone.
It's raining where I am right now. Somehow, that seems fitting given this story...
I can honestly say that this is the first story of this series that actually hurt to write. But I'd still like you to read it.
So, for anyone who actually enjoyed or at least had feels with When You Least Expect It, you'll be happy to know that I've almost finished its one-part sequel. I was tempted to do it in two parts and, you know, I may tack on an additional bit if the mood strikes me. But as of now it's looking like it'll be maybe 5k words, will have mild sexual content (enough to have an M tag, but nothing too far), and will give you a
Mmmm...I agree, Twilight Velvet. Makes me wish I were trapped in Canterlot with you right now.
Course I'd probably er, ship you all off to the Everfree Forest to reduce the competition, but that's besides the point...
...mmmm...muscles!
I haven't forgot! I have a functionally finished chapter with most of the necessary polish. Just getting some extra special help to make this as good as it can be! You're in for a real treat!
In the meantime, I'm working on the Final Chapter and Epilogue now! You can expect a lot of One For The Road this month I think; when it rains, it pours!
For all of you waiting until this is finished: the time is close at hoof!
Okay, guys. This could be the darkest thing I've ever written.
And I've been comparatively plain in practice.
It's surprising what a lot you can do with very little.
Anyway. I think Balisong might climb high on the 'This Villain Needs To Pay!' list after this (As if I didn't already have enough of those )
Let me know what you think.
This weekend is Jinglemas and lots of great stories are being posted!
Among those are mine, which just came out today! It's a fluffy romance about Minuette and Berry Punch on Hearth's Warming Eve, which is new thing from me, but I hope you enjoy it!
My gift fic is also really good! It has Cherry Berry x Rainbow Dash, which is a very underrated ship that deserves more love. It's just so perfect!
With a pairing of these two for my Jinglemas story this year, it took quite the restraint to avoid making the obvious pun in the story*: a pun so obvious, the show put it in a Season 1 episode written before Berry Punch had even been designed as a background pony. Light spoilers below for the story, of course; read at your own discretion.
Sorry for the wait, but I believe it'll be worth it!
Ch. 4: "A Corpse is a Corpse (Of Course, Of Course)"
"I'm not dead. I feel fine! I think I'll go for a walk!"
It's time for another story release! The idea for "Unsung Hero" is in my head since last November and it's another story inspired by the Season 9 Finale. It originally should have been written and released in February or March, but due to writing delays the coronavirus caused me, this timeframe couldn't be met.
