Hey, did you notice that my heading isn't bolded or underlined like my other 195 headings? Well, there's a reason for that.

Had a difficult day today, so I cheered myself up by finishing this little character exercise for North Ridge and posting it. Didn't tag it to TEK because you don't need to read TEK to read this but it is set in the same continuity so I figure I'll do a blogpost BECAUSE BACKSTORY FOR RANDOM CHARACTERS IS ALWAYS LEGIT.
Thank you as always for your support o:

If anything weird happens, you know who to blame. "Beardong Shimmer" came up during tonight's game. Then the memes kicked in.
On a moderately serious note, I pounded out another 1000+ words of chapter 2 today.
Stay classy.

Egyptian Mythology: The Doomed Prince
Preface: This story is to be found in the Harris Papyrus in the British Museum. It was complete when first discovered, but an unfortunate accident partly destroyed it, so that the end of the tale is lost. It is supposed to belong to the end of the Eighteenth Dynasty.

Recently, Seattle's Angels closed its doors.
Even more recently, the Royal Canterlot Library closed its doors.
Baaaack baaaby!
More or less.
I won't bore you with unnecessary details right now, those can be addressed at their own time. Sufficient to say, I'll have three stories out by the end of June. Two updates and one completely new.
Dear friends, look at this cute pupper:
Isn't she adorable? This is Marceline.
Marcie is an Old English Sheepdog puppy.
What a fucking dog, amirite?
I found some really great videos on YouTube that show you how to write Egyptian Hieroglyphs. I just thought I would pass them along for anyone who is interested in learning how to write in the ancient Egyptian language.

As you guys all know, I'm working on three different stories. Stories that do not involve MLP in any way. I'm of course, talking about Three Doors Down, Cleo the Wanderer, and the cancelled Leave Me Be.
Yes, I cancelled Leave Me Be. I couldn't think of an original story for that specific project. Originally it was just going to be the dorky girl who's shy, but super flamboyant when she's alone and she falls in love with a dude.
My most recent story, Dawn, talks a great deal about the implications of politeness held by the words you and thou. While the story teaches about the distinction between the words, and talks about how thou is insulting, if one was a linguistic nerd, one might wonder: why did the pronoun thou exist in the first place? Indeed, why is it that people see thou as being a formal word, if it was, in fact, so
I’m sick.
I’m calling this particular brand of snorting bloody mucus out of my sinuses “LineConitis.”
It honestly makes me so sad on the inside and outside after becoming an adult and seeing the world in a no-bullshit kind of way. The way people act towards everything, the apathy, the uncaring way they do things without regard for anybody else, the opportunist stance they have when times get tough, how guys treat women and how much women put themselves down when they shouldn't because of it, etc.
Discord , while making cake: Honey, would you like Earl Grey or Pork?

Today's chapter, 69 of 71, is tellingly named The Runaway Bodyguard. Every success and every failure in Starlight's runaway career comes together with explosive results. She learns what evil is. She faces who she has become, so different than who she wanted to be, and must make choices nopony wants to have to make. No matter what she does, she will be responsible. The next
Through a combination of getting really sick of seeing people butcher Luna's archaic speech in their fics and happening to be studying the subject at the time, a few months ago I decided to make a simple guide to writing Luna dialogue correctly. I put it off way too long, and I'm not even sure it's relevant anymore, since Luna's rehabilitation has kinda passed as a fad in the fimfiction community, but here it is anyway:
So I'm studying up on Early Modern English (not Old English, mind you) in preparation for a short essay on how to write Luna-speak. Fun fact I found: "derring-do" (the inspiration for Daring Do, if you didn't get that), which is a noun usually meaning "adventurous nonsense" in today's usage (as far as I can tell), started out as a verb phrase way back in the sixteenth century, "dorryng do," which literally means "daring to do," and implied manhood and chivalry ("Robin Hood's awesome. He's
So, really, the Block has been slapping me around for the better part of a week now. I've gotten about a page worth of words out in the last five days, and those are spread over three or four fics. So...like...not a lot done. I'm trying to kick it, and last night it occurred to me to try a different creative outlet and I whipped out my sketchbook.
