Alas, it was but a dream. But at least we ended on the note of a good, if slightly rapid-feeling, episode. Spoilers after the break.

Now, I'm gonna get back to watching Batman: The Animated Series. I've been liveblogging it on tumblr for the past couple days and I'm honestly having the BEST TIME. It's not only been a trip down memory lane, but also fun to watch because omfg there were so many bad puns I LOVE IT. I'm not as far as I want to be, but I'm close to reuniting with a childhood favorite of mine:
So, I just had to go through all of my fics to see if they still look alright, since knighty has now implemented a way to change the layout of a fic between indented and double-spaced and it was switched to double-spaced for me by default.
I won’t write a blog entry now to say what I think of those new design choices (Hint: They suck.), I lack the energy, but I just wanted to write this in case anything looks off in one of my fics.
Crackle Pop leaves the train upon arriving in Ponyville and gets awaited by his big sister Derpy on the platform. When she is surprised to see him instead of Chirpy, Crackle Pop explains to Derpy what happened and together, they set their sight on winning the Applewood Derby for Chirpy.
But will they succeed? How will a certain accident affect their plans and what will happen after it? Is there any hope at all to dry Chirpy's tears?
Comedy is subjective.
—Someone with no taste.
If you folks know anything about me – and you do, as I have no idea what concepts like “privacy” or “shame” are – you know I like comedy. I keep writing comedy, I keep writing about comedy, and I’ve gone out of my way to make my life a total joke just to be thematically consistent.
With this in mind, and seeing how this website could always do with more good comedies, I’m happy to introduce—
So basically I've dropped the ball and it doesn't look like I'm going to get this chapter finished tonight.
Le gasp!
Blogging about conventions is a lot harder than a lot of people make it look.
The short version that it was a pretty amazing weekend. I met lots and lots of fantastic people, gawked at a perpetually-dabbing Mare Do Well fursuit-wearer, had a drink with one of my internet besties—I didn’t like the drink, but it wasn’t about liking the drink—and overall had a fantastic time.
Here's the long version.
There's something I think I need to say...
So I hear a lot about how some people prefer films that are 'so bad it's good' over average or mediocre films.
So, for instance, people prefer Batman and Robin by Joel Schumacher to Batman VS Superman by Zack Snyder.
I mean, I see how this works. A film can certainly be entertainingly bad and gain more attention that way.
But then I hear how people wish films were made in the manner of 'So Bad It's Good'.
I'm sorry but...that doesn't work.
Sooner or later, Sweetsong has to get over the mountains if she wants to keep going west. It’s a mixed blessing; while she’s past the speedy railroad mainlines of the Midwest, now she’s got more scenery and fewer people who might spot her.
Having been on that route myself, I can say that it’s gorgeous.
Hello, my lovely readers. This blog post concerns Phoenix only tangentially, but it does get discussed as part of the overall subject. This post also gets into a lot of personal emotions of mine, and discusses a bit of family history.
BE WARNED
Unmarked spoilers from Star Trek: Picard Season Three Episode 9 "Vox" follow the page break.
I like this episode. While it doesn't explore the topic in-depth, it does a pretty good job indirectly addressing Fluttershy's own growth through her brother and her parents. Also, we get to learn more about the relations between characters. The moral is rather appropriate and positive, too. Now then, unto the thoughts!
SHE'LL KNOW WHO SHE IS WHEN SHE FINDS IT
It’s not a planned stop, not even the more accustomed unplanned stop where Sweetsong wants to go further but the train doesn’t. After the tunnel, she just has to have sky and openness to decompress.
What then? How would your life be? How would you feel about having a special talent that is supposed to help ponies, but harms them at the same time? How would you react to this and how would you try to cope with it? Can you imagine how it would be to go through life with such a cruel fate?
There is a pony who can imagine this, because this is exactly the fate that was bestowed on him.
When Crackle Pop awakes the next morning, he finds an unpleasant surprise. An unpleasant surprise that suddenly makes everything different for him and his sister. It leaves them both in sorrow, but is there a glimmer of hope?
IN WHICH I JUST HIT ANOTHER MILESTONE
My sincerest apologies for making a second blogpost within the space of a day. It's something I don't normally like to do, but sometimes it just works out that way. Anyway, I wanted to say two things in particular, and then more "fun" behind-the-scenes info below the jump.
Another leak it seems, but it's fun to have some additional pony stuffs for the week. Without further ado, delving right into it.
So, I made the schedule, and I try to follow it as best as i can, otherwise I would never ever EVER have written almost 200k words, but sometimes stuff just happens.
That stuff being my group mate's loading a lot of work my way, not that I mind, I rather like doing this stuff, but it has been very time consuming, and coupled with what I think is a writer's block, I haven't written very much. I'm not going to be able to make it till Sunday. I need more time.
you see, you see, villains have other aspirations. not only conquer the world. (see the whole video if you want to understand what I want to say) do not worry. He still destroys your home. but after this
