Sephiroth had two childhood friends

In his world

He was a genetically altered super soldier from even before he was born.

He was injected with cells from a dead alien corpse named jenova and it granted him powerful stats.

He’s been fighting ever since he was born.

He joined the scientists military unit SOLDIER. He became the first.

Scientists then replicated sephiroths treatment to other tryouts who volunteered willingly creating the SOLDIER program.

Those cells are why characters like sephiroth cloud and other SOLDIER have such brightly deep blue eyes.

Anyway

For the two soldiers turned angels

One was Genesis an egotistical bookworm very religious. But very competitive.

The other was Angeal, he was the calm collected big brother type. He was the original owner of clouds buster sword. He was much like Leonardo in so many ways.

Sephiroth cherished them deeply.

Unfortunately sometimes soldier treatment has some unknown side effects.

Like those wings… when Genesis found out he got all righteous and left his old life started a with SOLDIER members who believed him. Making an army of genesis clones.

And when Angeal got his a month later…he killed his loved ones and abandoned his honor.

How easily they can change just because of something physical.

Both are likely just as powerful as sephiroth

Im not going to explain the adventure.

So I’ll keep it short.

Genesis vanished a long time ago.

As for Angeal…he’s gone…he had to be defeated by Zack his student.

Zack is the hero tryout from the Olympus Colosseum from Birth by Sleep

Eventually years later even Sephiroth eventually turned to the darkness once he found out who he actually was and why he was so different from everyone.

Genesis is likely still out there

I have an idea,

Since I never confirmed my trooper reigns age or parents.

Perhaps he could have been a heartless or nobody of Angeal when he lost his heart. Hence the tanned skin

He’s dead so it won’t affect the lore

It’s just a thought. No need to read into it
