where the map used to be. And they never move. So we ONLY know that PONYVILLE is a wasteland,
but there might still be life in the REST of equestria, while Ponyville and it's surroundings was the stage
for a final battle bwtween the villains and the mane 6, and the entire town was blown away during that battle.

Or, alternately, the same scenario happens, but the damage IS wide enough to cover the entire Equestria.
