Finally watched Friendship games, and I'm surprised that I like the Shadowbolts so much. I suspect it's because I tend to latch onto characters who are distinctive but don't have spotlight roles per se. Of course much of the movie was spent beaming thoughts of, "Stop being such jerks!" at them and the like, but still... ever since then I've been digging up as many fanfics as I can about them.

It's just odd, I can't even pin down why I like them so much, but I do.

Personally the most interesting characters thus far in the egverse have been the ones introduced there: Sunset,Sirens and Shadow 5, i will also say Sci-Twi because unlike the mane/human 5 she actually feels like her own character and unlike the mane/human 5 who are basacly the pony selves heck i belive Rainbow became more like her pony counter after legend of Everfree.

I also have been diging for shadow bolt stories especially were Twilight didn't change to CHS and has really little Canterlot high in them
