Hi guys. In this thread you can suggest stories for next week's post on Sunday 10/26/2014.

For the upcoming post, anything published after October 12 2014 is suggestable.

There are a few suggestion guidelines we'd like y'all to follow, as listed below:

-Suggested stories MUST have been posted within two week of the upcoming post on Sunday. If we’re taking suggestions for a Sunday the 27th Feature Post, you’re free to suggest any story that was published as far back as the 13th. You may not suggest a story that was published on, say, Saturday the 12th for a Sunday the 27th post.

-Suggestions are not guaranteed to be featured. Please don’t expect that they will be, or ask us why a story you suggested didn’t get featured. We’ll put up what we put up—and I mean that in the nicest possible way. We’re not going to be able to please everyone. It’s just not possible for finite beings to accomplish. We simply ask that you don’t put us in the awkward position of attempting to do so anyway by demanding answers from us.

-Suggested stories may not be written by the suggesting user. It’s nice that you think your work’s good, and want to help get it out there—no, really, it is—but this isn’t really the place to promote yourself. There are other groups out there that you can use to promote your stories. In the meantime, focus on writing a story other people would want to suggest here, or suggest another author’s work that you really enjoyed.

Please try not to down on other peoples' suggestions. You're free to discuss what you thought of someone else's suggestion, but remember that the point of this thread is to put forth stuff that you thought was good and interesting. Not to tell people that their suggestions weren't really that good or interesting.

But other than that, if you've found a recently-posted story that you thought was interesting/good/enjoyable, be sure to suggest it here and we'll be sure to check it out!

Okay, I recommend Dreams of Ponyville by Hoopy McGee.

The Humans in Equestria Club

Earth and Equestria collided and only the elements of harmony could save the day.

That was a month ago; now over a hundred former humans have to make the best of their new lives as ponies. Alexis Kingston was a twenty two year old telemarketer, and rather surprised to find herself a pegasus and the head of the Humans in Equestria Club. She never wanted to be a hero, just keeping the new ponies sane would be challenge enough, but with the barrier holding reality together leaking yet more humans on a daily basis, ancient evils and modern technology probing for weaknesses and the end of two worlds looming, she may have to be.

This story is better than you could possibly hope for from its description. Characterization, drama, and world building are all fantastic here, (and there's some cracker humor too,) but it's also criminally short on views. (:fluttercry:)

Broken Sky

One day, Equestria stopped being in one piece, and started being in a million pieces. The world literally ended. Life didn't. Any way they could, and any way they had to, ponies survived in the debris of Equestria.

On one piece of Ponyville, they survived quite well. Key Stone grew up with a simple but comfortable life. He spends all his time staring at the sky and buried in books, waiting for the faintest hint that life is out there.

And then it arrives.

Original AU fic doing the whole "floating islands of land" idea. It doesn't appear as if it will update frequently, however. Also has the misfortune of a very small number of views.

Fallout Equestria: Wasteland Economics

What happens if you’re just another salespony in postapocalyptia, a blacksmith by and large focused on running your store day by day? Other ponies can fight and die in the "good fight," but for you, trade caravans come and go, random repair work around town keeps food on the table, and every so often you make enough at once to treat yourself. And in the stillness and privacy of the night, the ghost of a smile graces your muzzle as you work at your forge, making your mark on the Wasteland in small ways.

But... you've gotten a bit complacent with this safe life in the Bayou. And all at once, that security drops out from under you. The debt of a pony's life rests on your hooves, and all you've got are the skills that let you earn a living fixing a pistol to pay it off.

Aaaand here's my long-shot. It's very different in tone/feel than you'd expect of a Fallout: Equestria derivative, updates frequently and has low views, and while Alloy Shaper has a self-made sword and (sorta) knows how to use it she hasn't done very much heroic raider slaying so far.

Important thing to note, friend: As of now, we care about publish date. A couple of the stories you suggested were updated within the specified timeframe, yes, but they were published well outside of it.

Whoops. Whelp, that's 10 minutes down the can for a lifetime of embarrassment. :twilightoops:

No worries. You at least put 3 stories on my RL :rainbowkiss:

I'd like to suggest Wings.

The Whispering God was certainly an interesting read. It was dark and haunting (just in time for Halloween!) with some good worldbuilding to boot.

For a suggestion, I'll offer up The Horse Whisperer. It's a niche comedy, if you've seen EQG/are familiar with EQG. (and no, it does not involve tacos.)

Also worth a glance is Misnomer. Posted tonight, but pretty entertaining. A short SoL that involves a different take on the Daring Do author/character relationship. Albeit, a few tiny errors, but they don't detract from the point of the story, which is something that many big-namers would sympathize with here.

S'all I got.
