Once again due to Elric of Melnipony's diligence and thoughtfulness, we have today Christened the third new category since that re-categorization thing that I took months to do. "Bad Action" denotes action scenes that are poorly played out.

Bear in mind that most of the time, Bad Action fits under the umbrella of Overly Edgy or Military, and often happens in conjunction with Detrimental English, but is not in itself the definition of any of those things. Most of the time, you will find Bad Action in an Overly Edgy or Military fic, but not all of the time, and it is indeed quite important that the author understands at a glance why their story was found in poor taste by the reader. If you find the action scenes are bland or silly or any other adverse description of an action scene, they now have a home as well.
