I have read most of the nominated stories and for the rest made a decision based on discussion and reviews. Criteria were primarily intensity of darkness, quality of writing and magnitude of flaws, sometimes however I based my decision on other factors as well. For example Days of Wasp and Spider would be better suited for the Sci-Fi category, which only has 10 nominations so far.
