Blood Magic
Sacrifice The most basic, yet most dangerous spell in a blood mage's arsenal. Sacrificing their own life force a blood mage can increase his magic by eight times. Due to the dangers of a unicorns this powerful and the fact that the untrained will typically die or become possessed when they attempt this spell it has been outlawed by the princesses. It is believed that Luna used this spell in order to subdue the demon's power that caused the NMM incident, but she was corrupted from the shear amount of power she gained.
Life Siphon This spell replicates a batponies ability to suck the very life out of their victim. However unlike a batpony the user's body cannot properly convert the life force slightly reducing their lifespan with each use.
Mind Domination Normally a unicorns magic cannot affect a ponies mind without killing the subject in the process. However if an expert blood mage imbues his magic with the correct amount of the subjects life force he can bypass the bodies protections and alter the mind without consequence. This does not take into account the life force stolen in order to perform the spell.
Memory Wipe This spell operates similiary to mind domination, but a normal blood mage is able to perform this spell.
