The show gave Derpy a bad name, so I intend to give her a better one. In this story, she's a Solar Guard. She is actually a really intelligent pony, just clumsy because of her wonky eyes. In fact, she flies and fights better if she covers one eye. So, she decided to always wear an eyepatch.
