Personality: Pensive has so immersed himself theory since his elementary school science fair days that reality hardly holds his attention anymore. He's constantly multi-tasking, poorly. While talking to you he's simultaneously visualizing the behavior of invisible particles. While lecturing he faces his students and telekinetically writes on the blackboard behind his back. As often as not he writes backwards. Pensive must never be allowed to assemble any experimental apparatus without the over sight of a trained technician. He once built a "device for emitting a coherent beam of anti-gluon particles, for the energetic disassembly of a target object through the breakdown of it's strong forces" (aka - a disintegrator ray). When switched on, the disintegrator disintegrated, leaving the target untouched. He can teach all levels of physics, though with introductory classes he may need to be reminded that first year students cannot be expected to handle unified field theory. No one is better at advanced magic theory, but it is probably better that Pensive not teach young students practical magic.

Personality: Skeptical at everything, adventurous, and scholarly. Merciless. Keeps to himself unless spoken to, and is very secretive. He is honest, just, and, although he is not in the guard, follows the Guard's Code of Honor ((Like Bushido, except no Seppuku)). Is highly untrusting of the princesses.
Important Relations: He has connections to a group of mercenaries, but he barely speaks to them. They were his childhood friends, but wished to remain on an "un-inhabited" peninsula, where they are buried deep underground. Don't try going there, for many a fool had died to the auto-turrets. Happily, the turrets recognize me as a comrade, so I visit once and a while.

Credentials: Although he did not go to school till he was 5, he easily caught up with the other students in the Magic School of Canterlot and graduated all the Magic School levels at the top of his class, earning him a free shot at Magic University. In five years, he mastered the dark arts of magic, for it was said to be the hardest to master, especially because he is a near-human anthro, and then spent four years to get his masters in Physics and Science each, so he could teach ((not really, he has other plans, but the money and fame from the school will help his plan...)). He discovered a spell that allows ponies to alter another ponies vision, but keeps it to himself, for he does not want anyone using it wrongly.

"Now, can anyone tell me why we don't touch the lamps with our bare hands?" Frank asked, holding up a small bulb. One of the students raised their hands. "Yes, Arthur."

"Because the oil on our hands will make the bulb explode after it's been for more than thirty minutes?"

"Thirty seven. And it doesn't always explode..." Frank turned around and grabbed a different bulb from the table behind him. Portions of the glass were deformed and black, obviously places where someones fingers had been. "Most of the time they melt or warp, or they simply die. But we have had a few cases where the lamp exploded during a show, scared the hell out of the actors and the audience."

"How do we change them then?" Asked one of the newer students.

"We have special gloves." Frank explained placing both of the bulbs down again. "You've seen those bells that people play as 'instruments' right?" The class nodded. "Well, we use them for this too." Frank stopped talking as he saw one of his students playing on their phone. "Hey! Look alive, pay attention. Think of this class as a job, with your paycheck being your grade. What happens if you're on your phone while your boss is talking to you?"

"I'd get fired?" The student asked sheepishly, putting his phone away.

"Alright, that's all I wanted to tell you guys. Mike, you get a crew together and I want you to take down any source fours on the 1st electric. James, you and Arthur are gonna go organize the prop room, bunch of choir kids got in there last night and screwed everything up." Frank looked at the rest of the class. "The rest of you, clean up the stage. New guy, you're sticking with me, I'll be showing you the ropes." He pointed at the new student.

"Uh, Mister Ramsey? My name is Mark."

"Okay Mark, call me Frank." The teacher looked at the class. "Get going. Except for you Harry, you go and sort screws, and don't let me see that phone out again. We clear?"

"Yes sir." The class disperesed to do their work, leaving Frank and Mark by the office.

"Okay, Mark. What are you interested in?" Frank asked, Mark shrugged. "How about I put you on sound for now, I'll be over in a bit, for now just go and hang with nick by the board." Mark nodded and went off to the sound board. Frank smiled, today was going to be a good day."
