Is there anything in this fandom that you'll never really understand?

For me it's got to be:

Fluffy Ponies: not Fluffle Puff and Chrysalis (they are adorable in my book)
but the random art and stuff out there. I can understand wanting to make ponies "adorable" by making them balls of fluff; but why give them the intelligence of a mentally handicapped 5 year old
And the fluffy pony abuse stuff is just sickening

The Braeburn being gay thing: seriously why???

I assumed you meant being turned into a pony as well. I certainly wouldn't go to Equestria as a human.The loss of access to technology is the biggest one for me, for many reasons. I'm not terribly attached to my family, and I don't really have any friends. Luna and Celestia seem pretty benevolent to me at least. Honestly, the only way I would ever go to Equestria is if three specific conditions of mine are met.

You don't notice it. Not for a while, at least. But something is fundamentally wrong with the world.

Little things. Objects vanishing for a split second. Pegasus feathers falling out mid-flight, only to come back together on the next beat. Eyelids flickering like kaleidoscopes. But then the really weird stuff happens, like entire body parts disappearing or becoming mangled before your eyes. And nopony else notices.

Am I going mad? Or is it real? And, really, which of those two is worse?

There are so many things I don't understand with this great big freaking mess called a fandom that my comment would take up half the page, so I will only state one.

Why people who seem so hard core love these cute little ponies. You know who I'm talking about: the metalheads, greasers, and emos who show up at meet ups. I guess we are just all united by our love of friendship and magic!

What I think is odd is basically that . . . this question is confusing me. Anyway, the sexual desire of ponies is a bit odd, I agree that the obsession of Derpy is weird, the animation errors are definitely odd, and the fact that this show (not this one the ones before it) used to be stupid and have completely female ponies and primarily was for selling toys (I'm not talking about the current stuff.)

I hate to tell you this, but I think this group is basically dead. Plus, like 5930892 said, you necroed a thread that's nearly three years old. Probably shouldn't necro threads that are this old.

2276372 Preference of fandom creations over the show itself. Noticed certain projects like Double Rainboom, Fall of the Crystal Empire, My Little Dashie ect were/are praised by a big section of the fandom and yet there are elements of MLP that some people can't stand? For a recent example, Starlight Glimmer and Flash Sentry. Now I'm not a fan of theirs, but neither am I a hater, I'm just indifferent. I've learned to accept they're there, and that Starlight is going to play a big part in future episodes whilst Flash is just there, so I don't let them bother me. In fact I look forward to the day when they are made interesting, but hey if that doesn't happen, nothing gained, nothing lost, I can just turn my attention back to the good stuff. But with some people I feel their hatred or love of the character can have negative influence over how they view an episode, fine if you're a viewer, not so great if you're a reviewer or analyst.

Also these things.

1) What's wrong with liking a funny children's cartoon? Too many people these days want their shows to be 'darker and more grown up' without thinking about what that truly means or whether the show in question needs to or would work that way. "Light Heroes define the Dark ones and vise versa" ItsJustSomeRandomGuy

I don't understand why the show keeps trying to shill Glimglam so much. I hate her because she's a badly-written character with nowhere to go, no redeeming qualities, and crimes worse than Tirek's. Turning Pinkie into an annoying idiot and attaching Trixie and Maud to Glimglam while claiming Maud shares the blame for Glimmy's actions is pathetic. They're trying to bring good characters down so Glimmy the sociopathic black hole sue doesn't look out of place.

Edit: And what was up with the "Hey Rarity you use shit gems and never knew until now" part? Vogel and Miller are trying to bring the show's characters down so their shitty OC doesn't look so bad, It's disgusting.

One more thing... WHY DO WE STILL GIVE TWO SHITS ABOUT FALL OF EQUESTRIA. SOME DUMBASS MADE A PORNO YOU DON'T LIKE. DEAL WITH IT AND GROW UP. COULD THOSE FICS WHERE EDGELORD MCGEE KILLS THE CARIBOU GET ANY MORE JUVENILE?
