I thought of an idea for a fanfic called Mutant that is an AU in the human world where science has found out how to make magic talking ponies.
The lab shows their research to the world and then... well... an angry mob invades the lab, absolutely disgusted with the genetic modification required to make them, forcing the LabBorn!Mane 6 to flee.
You find Twilight Sparkle (ID# A-42-Twilight), outside a starbucks, watching the daily show.
