Some of Star's magic lights up the enchantments in his robes and as such they unravel and lash all about slashing into and through anything getting near him much like a snapped steel cable might. Even as his robes slash and rend the air around him he charges a bit of energy and sends it down the threads filling the air with electricity to fry anything not being cut up.
