I currently have a story where humans and ponies don't speak the same language, but two of the main characters are able to steal memories when they kill a being and therefore there is no language barrier. Besides those two humans, the human race doesn't speak the same language as the ponies. So would it qualify since technically the language barrier is there and isn't?
