I have tried many times to write a good story. But, usually I fail and reside back into writing trollfics for ease of fun.
So what is best for me? I don't know, most stories I write with premises that aren't trollfics don't succeed.

Understood. How much promotion have these stories been getting? If people followed you mostly for trollfics, they probably won't be into reading something serious, so the stories have to gain traction on their own.
