Funny enough for a thief, his virtue is supposed to be kindness. Take that as you may, but it's certainly not something PC ever expected from him!
Great chapter; always glad to see an update!

Thanks! I'm so glad you liked it!
3814241 Don't mention it

Ah I've stated, it may not be a fun tactic, but it needed to happen. PC needed that nudge away from complete control to break her hold on how her life had been. The perspective you have is an interesting one, and you are correct in that I did not expect it to be taken that way, but it's a viewpoint all the same! The topic may not be the most fun to write, or read, but I'm glad you took away something from it you did enjoy.
"Their horn lit up quickly, the blurry form of a rusty iron pipe being swung dropped Brightshine to the floor with a thump. Did they just… double cross Brightshine?"
I felt something. Not sure which particular feeling though, but more of a cold sensation than a pleasant one.
"There was a deafening metallic squeal [...] “That was…” Come on PC, THINK. “...the sound of my heart breaking!” Fuck, that was the dumbest lie I’ve ever told. "
Lawl. +2 laughter points.
"But as the door swung open, I stopped and could only stare into the sharp blue eyes of my Grandmother."
Interesting stopping point.
"They always say that ponies are violent towards us, and that we should attack them on sight, but you don’t look dangerous.” She stopped and went wide eyed. “Are you dangerous?”"
Lawl. Again. And an additional +3 laughter points pushes this up into a chapter I liked, and the character right into my 'fond-of' territory.
Also, I'm totally calling her Sandy Cheeks.

On the stopping point, I had this chapter planned out differently, and as I wrote it I found that some things needed more to... expanding upon. I felt it was a good enough point to end it on, where originally it was just a break in the scene. I knew this section was going to have to be two chapters, but now it's looking that it may end up being three. Who knows in the long run!
Also, on Sandy's behaviour. I've always imagined that hellhound packs are somewhat of a mix between Canine packs, and a normal family. That there is a lot of 'do what's best for all of us' mentality, while also still maintaining different families. This is where she comes in. If you can't tell, she was the runt of the litter, and because she could never compete with the other pups, she lost a lot of interest in just doing what needed to be done, but still feels like she needs to help out her family despite them not liking her 'disabilities'. She has a kind of blunt curiosity that gets her into trouble, and though she's far from stupid, she can't quite see the effects of her actions.
Sandy is cute. Any reason for her odd coloration?
Yes, it was, but it was a funny one.
