With that in mind, I am probably going to remove the Chrysalis tag from AoAJ. Chrysalis was an element I wanted to include from the very beginning. Her story, as I envision it, even has relevance to Applejack's, but not enough. I'm going to tell her story someday, but it isn't this story. I think both narratives would be better served, more cohesive, and have a clearer message if I treated them as separate, but concurrent. I've even considered dedicating stories to other villains as well, such as Discord, Tirek, and Grogar as part of a series about the mistakes and triumphs of Celestia, all in the AoAJ continuity. Thoughts?

I just realized that I (your reviewing assistant) have completely forgotten to watch you here on Fimfiction.
Anyhow, I think having the other stories separate, perhaps as a series of short stories in an anthology, would work great, once you've established the world with AoAJ.
And i still think that revelation I had previously, about what happens based on gender, works great.
Simply because they don't belong in THIS story doesn't mean they oughtn't be told at all. Sound like side-stories to me.
I do agree. Every new chapter I've been wondering what the buck is Chrysalis doing there in the tags and the obvious answer sounds like a boring detour.

For awhile there I thought that Merry May was going to turn out to be Chrysalis.
I'm actually reading another fic right now that I think would have benefited from setting up its continuity in one storyline, and then telling the meat of its story in a separate one. So I'm all for you focusing on Applejack and the true nature of alicorns here, and showing Chrysalis in a separate fic. Come to think of it, Penstroke is doing something like that right now with his last couple of shorts.

I think Chrysalis's story might be a good idea, but the others you mentioned... I'm kinda iffy on Discord, as 99% of all authors who explore his past either portray him as a gory murderer or they ship him with Celestia. If you explore his back story, you'd better be doing something unique.
The others I don't care about whatsoever. Those were explored decades ago.
I didn't even notice the Chysalis tag, so...works for me.
I would like to see epic confrontations from Celestia's past.
