Frantic Thoughts from a Flooded Inbox · 7:41pm Jul 20th, 2012
Things were so much simpler when I exclusively wrote clop. Starting out by writing exclusively Mature-rated clopfics, my stories weren't as widely read on this site. I had a relatively small group of regular readers who I could chat with and respond to all their comments,
I just had no idea how much my inbox would blow up once my Teen-rated story (Lyra and Bon Bon's Odd Jobs) became featured. Now I get a new message practically every minute! Someone is either favoriting one of my stories or leaving a comment. I don't say this to boast, really. I'm so grateful for all the wonderful feedback I continue to receive; I just feel bad that I'm not able to respond to comments or questions as quickly as I would like.
I don't make fanfics so I can get feedback. I make fanfics because I love to write. Too many big projects in this fandom have floundered because the creators were discouraged by negative feedback, or they didn't feel they received enough positive feedback. Creative people should make something because they love it. Don't do it for the attention. A project can only succeed when it is fueled by the love of the work and not the promise of positive praise. When you enjoy what you do, you will eventually get noticed for it.
Now, with all that being said, please continue to leave feedback! I love it all! I'm further motivated to write when I read all the comments that tell me what everyone thinks about my work. But Celestia forbid, if all the feedback I received suddenly stopped tomorrow, I wouldn't stop writing. I'd continue to share my stories with everyone for the sheer joy of doing it.
This is a great community! We have a wonderful site here! Together, we can make fimfiction.net the friendliest and most welcoming fan site ever!
I'll say it again, because it can't be expressed enough, thank you for the feedback!
D'aaw, shucks!
I agree with you man. Nothing makes me happier when a good story comes together!
I feel dis post.
But seriously you should make stories with an honest heart.
Great words from a great writer!
So ... You don't get off on positive feedback then

Thanks, Krushnazag. I didn't even know my story had been featured until you told me!
It actually makes sense.
Clopfics don't usually get seen by the general public that aren't specifically looking for them. L&BBOJ makes it through to those that don't see your clopfics and that's why it gets so much more coverage.

that and honestly, your clopfics are SUPER dark
not many people's cup of tea, even those who enjoy clop and grim/dark (speaking for myself mostly) don't really enjoy them together
*shrug* it's a niche market, so to speak, but don't let that stop you
well said
Rather inspirational. *slowclap* You are a very kind person.
