Progress Report - Week of 11/3/2014 · 12:59am Nov 12th, 2014
A bit late on this post this week; I actually wrote this up yesterday and then forgot to post it.
First off, the most important bit of progress from last week: a new story.
Celestia raises the Sun for the first time.
Another story - Dusk, the sequel to Dawn - will be posted within the next week, as promised.
One new feature of Dawn was that it was the first time I had ever drawn a pony (or second, if you count changelings as such). I'm not a highly skilled artist, but I've been learning. Hopefully the art isn't too off-putting; if it is, let me know, because you're likely to be seeing a lot of it in the future if you don't speak up.
In terms of weekly progress, my progress writing last week was rather poor, though that is a bit deceptive as it was mostly editing:
I'm not sure if the writeoff entry is actually going to be an entry or not just yet; it may end up too short. Regardless, you will likely see it.
Dawn is, obviously, finished, and Dusk is well on its way towards being done. My plan is to try and finish editing Dusk later this evening, and then work on the cover art later this week.
Not pictured is the fact that I did some outlining for writeoff entries - including the one listed on the chart - so I did do some more "writing-related" work.
I also drew two pictures last week. One was the cover art to Dawn; the other is for a certain story that I totally haven't been pressuring someone to post.
Really. 
I should get a lot more writing done this week, though I'll likely end up burning a day producing cover art for Dusk - part of being a beginner artist is that I produce things very slowly. Dawn's cover took me many hours to produce, and while it will likely be faster now that I better understand pony proportions, Dusk will likely take me many hours to do as well, doubly so because I'll be doing something else new (namely, yet another different pose, and possibly a crowd of dark faces around Luna and Celestia as everyone watches her try to prove herself by raising the Moon).
In other news, I created a bookshelf for the fifteen stories I most highly recommend reading on the site. Though, let's face it - it really is the fourteen stories I most strongly recommend, plus Rainbow Dash Gets An Abortion because I'm a terrible person. If you've already browsed the stories I have as my recommended stories on my user page, then you already are familiar with them. If you haven't, well then, what are you waiting for?
Upcoming stories:
Dusk - Luna raises the Moon for the first time. Slice of life historical fiction.
Shotgun Wedding - Rarity is caught sleeping over with Applejack by the Apple Family, who plan a shotgun wedding for the pair. I've been editing the fifth chapter of this on my computer. It is going to get done. Romantic comedy.
Why Doesn't The Sun Shine - Fancy Pants, Fleur De Lys, Shining Armor, and Cadance try to keep calm and restore order when the Sun doesn't rise. Set during the season 1 opener.
Write-off entries - I can't talk about these until the write-off is over.
