I STILL NEED PRE-READERS · 4:30pm Jun 20th, 2012

Hey there, folks! It's your favorite underdog writer, TheUrbanMoose. I have completely forgone coming up with a subtle, clever blog title to bring you this announcement!

I need pre-readers!

I have a very dedicated editor who is doing the absolute best he can, BUT! Some flaws still slip by. Between me and him, there isn't exactly a gauntlet of vigorous and painstaking correction the chapter has to go through. We correct phrasing, punctuation, and the occasional spelling error, but when its midnight and we're trying to edit while simultaneously play Left 4 Dead, there's just some things we're bound to miss. I have a couple of awesome readers who are willing to point out flaws in a chapter after its been posted, and I really, really do appreciate that, but it'd be cool if I could have those fixed before the chapter was posted.

So, are you ready for the offer of a lifetime? Here it comes: would you like to be a pre-reader? Just one or two more would be nice. I'll set a maximum of three, just because I don't want it to be a hassle sending it around to a bunch of people. You've got to be available to edit it fairly quickly; if I sent a chapter to you, getting it back one or two days later would be the most desirable. On that topic, you must be literate, as in, you must have a firm grasp of the English language. I don't care if you're an English major, or if you simply enjoy reading. Just being able to point out and fix mistakes is enough. If you're willing to take the extra step beyond fixing errors and grammar, all the better, but you certainly wouldn't have to.

So, if you are interested (and let's face it, we both know you are), leave a comment below, and/or shoot me PM. I'd love to have you on-board Team Moose.

Young Celestia needs YOU!

Hmm... in one hoof: prereading, in the other: I'M LAZY.
Meh. I'm out. Sorry.

zel

I would like to help, but living in weird timezone creates a problem. Message me if you cannot find anyone in more flexible working hours.

If you're still looking, I'd be more than willing to pre-read. Based off zelatynowy's comment, though, I should probably warn you that I'm British, so timings might be... yeah.

I'm willing to try.

I STILL NEED TO CATCH UP ON YOUR FIC!!!! (LOL)

DUUUUUUUUUDE! If you would just read past the prologue, I promise it gets more interesting from there!

What kind of method do you use for sending materials and how do your editors need to keep track of their remarks?
