Mare-y Christmas, Everypony! · 5:40am Dec 25th, 2013

What say we celebrate with a Christmas classic, eh?

I hope everyone's having a great holiday. I know I'm the most grateful for the respite and the family time that I've ever been in my life this year. I've been playing mostly Hearthstone, but I'm also into Path of Exile, and have been gaming exclusively since my semester finally ground to a halt. I plan on getting back to writing sometime around the weekend, since I go back to school on January 6th.

If anyone's interested, you can hit me up at GaryOak#2945 in Hearthstone, or @GaryOakRobotron in Path of Exile. Hearthstone is in closed beta currently, but you can obtain a guaranteed key in as little as three days if you follow the instructions here and do so before Sunday.

I've potentially got some exciting news for you guys over the next couple of months. I can't give anything away yet, but when stuff is in motion and set in stone, I'll keep you posted. Anyway, Merry Christmas!

I wanted a mare for Jesusmas, but I didn't get one ;_;

Yeah... That time of the year again.
That time of the year where we're all supposed to be filled with the joy and love of family, as we share presents with one another, and bask in the glow of togetherness.

Some will be spending their time with the one person they love the most. Maybe it will be their first holiday season together... or maybe their tenth. This day shall be one of the best times of the year for them.

People will be smiling, happy knowing that they are with the ones they hold most dear. Having a wonderful meal together as a family, or just as a couple. Either way... they feel and share in the love that everyone talks and sings about virtually constantly at this time.

But not all...

Some of us are alone this season. No one to share the love that everyone else around them spreads with almost painful bliss. No one to celebrate life and love of family with. Alone on a day that celebrates togetherness.

As everyone gathers around the dinner table, with their Christmas ham, maybe I might have a couple frozen pot pies...

I don't know... really don't care anymore.

Merry fucking Christmas everyone. Be thankful for what you have, and for who you have to share this with.

Hey man, I'm really sorry to hear that. Normally, my Christmases are quite uneventful, too. I only have my parents and grandmother as immediate family, because I'm of English and Italian descent. My Italian side lives in eastern Canada (about 3,000 km away), and my English side is still in England.

You've certainly got friends and good online communities to be around, and at least you get to work a bit less during this time of year. Heck, those who don't care about Christmas can work on Christmas day and get paid overtime for their effort.

tl;dr: You have something to celebrate if you look hard enough, and there are people out there who appreciate you.
