... I think it's way past time to bring these two, as well as A Cog in the Machine in general, back from the grave, don't ya think?
Winter break is upon me, everybody. I'm hoping to return to the habit of writing over the break while I have it. I'm also crossing my fingers that I'll be able to maintain the habit over the spring school semester as well, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
I'm aiming to at least finish the current chapter arc some time in the coming weeks. With that out of the way I can start working on a really FUN chapter arc that will hopefully come out faster (fingers crossed)
In the mean time, however, I'm working on a complete reboot of the story. While I'm mostly happy with how things came out, there are still too many little things that annoyed me about it. Too much melodrama in some places, stiff dialogue in others, or just some plain old cringe-worthy stuff... I'm aiming to fix all this and make A Cog in the Machine a story that not only other's enjoy but that I enjoy as well! These chapters came out a lot faster when I was enjoying the story as well, you see.
Now, I'm NOT going to do anything stupid like cut out big things like the torture scenes or generally anything that made a character who he or she are now. No... in fact, my original plan was to stealth edit and simply go along my merry way...
... But now that I'm a good chunk of the way in with these edits I'm starting to see that some of these changes could very well be seen as huge to some people.
So, that having been said, it's poll time people! How do you want these changes to be presented? Please pick one!
A.) Please stealth edit! I'll re-read it in my own time, if at all! If something seems off I'll just re-read that specific chapter!
B.) Please re-post the chapters one at a time! I'm fine with re-reading the story from the beginning, especially if it means a new chapter will pop up once I'm done!
C.) Please re-post the chapters, but in one burst! The option is there for others to re-read, while those who are impatient can simply jump to the new chapter that'll pop up on the same day! Seeing fifteen updates at once on my favorites list is going to be a bit annoying though...
No matter which you choose, take heart that once the edits are all posted, a new chapter (I'm hoping for two or three) will be posted for you to enjoy

Depends on how large the edits will be for me, if they are considerable then I would go with B, if it's just editing some dialogue and covering up plot holes and such then A.

Ya already know my opinion on the edits front.
But from the list I’d say B) post them one at a time –would be good to re-read the story again to get warmed up for new chapters.
I’d say get rid of the whole ‘universal antibiotic’ thing where Star swirl said Cogy doesn't belong and the universe is conspiring against him/ her. It kind of dilutes the whole wight of Flim and flam being villains. Not to mention the whole problem of pony racism. It makes me wonder if those are actual, real problems like they are presented in the story, or if it’s just because they are just acting as ‘antibiotics’. but yea that’s my thoughts anyway.

Well, I'd say B. But I would be satisfied even if you simply stealth-edit and then post a blog post when editing would be finished - after all, I'll need to re-read ACitM anyway if you plan on continuing it soon-ish. Wish you good luck with that.

... Please don't. The whole reason I liked ACITM was because of how you'd written it. If you're going to edit, please at least keep the original chapters, as well, so we can see how it's changed. That being said...I want a physical copy of ACITM. Please make a cover, binding, and If you put it so I can buy one, I will love you forever.
