My thoughts on Daring Don't (first review/thought dump) (Spoilers, of course) · 4:22pm Dec 7th, 2013
First of all, a Daring Do episode! Hooray!
Okay, here we go. I missed the first bit though.
A party! There's Pinkie with her antics, as usual. I'm not sure how a random party on a day for random parties is random, though. Unless the random party day is celebrated at random, and Pinkie chose that day.
TWO MORE MONTHS? That voice acting, man.
Silly, Twilight- Famous people don't get privacy! Although I don't agree with this policy. Oh hey! They're at the house- will they meet her? A probably not. NO THERE SHE IS! AND SHE LOOKS LIKE DARING DO! Also upcoming battle of the nerds.
THUGS? Why thugs? What do they want? The golden thingy? Also of course AK Yearling is Daring Do, but the reactions were really cool.
No... I have been deceived...
Oh they added violence! That's cool, I guess. Not the best fight scene I've seen, but pretty suspenseful. OH NO DARING DO IS HURT.
"You heard her, she wants to left alone." Twilight, you have learned that you need FRIENDS. FRIENDS. Maybe Daring Do needs to learn those same lessons?
"A pony just like any other pony. A pony who stops entire armies of bad guys with nothing but her bare hooves!" The way she says this. Ball is on a roll.
...
Someone has trust issues.
OHMYGOSH it's Aziutohl or whatever! I thought at least that would be fiction. Is that Fluttershy's cat? Aaaand Daring Do is in a bind. Literally. She looks like a grub with pony head. Monsters did a good job. For monsters.
Dejected Rainbow Dash is dejected. Her voice is dripping with melancholiness. Applejack, you're right, She sounds melancholy, not brazenly awesome.
Hey monster? Ponies don't live 800 years. This will last a month tops if you don't feed her.
"Have I mentioned yet that I work alone?" "Have I mentioned that I don't?" And then they stared into each other's eyes. And then they slowly moved into each other, as their lips locked. Rainbow's heart beat faster as Daring Do pot a hoof on her- Sorry, I'm getting off topic. Right, the ring.
I like the Applejack part where she gets the ring from the guard.
There goes the castle! As suspenseful as any book.
"I could never had done this without you, Rainbow Dash." Then they hugged. "You know, if you wanna come over..." Their lips locked as Daring moved a hoof to- well never mind. Also the lighting in the actual version of that scene is phenomenal, I just noticed.
Overall, I liked this episode. I didn't mention the pacing, but good stuff. I'm happy we got to see some Daring Do. I thought this would continue the story line from the first three episodes, but I like that they took a break.
Also can you tell me if this was good or if I should structure it differently or something? Thanks for reading!
